This is a battle tutorial for the Trainer named Sukotto Hosenka.
If you haven't read the Battle and Example Battle threads, you should do so. They may seem confusing, but they will help you to understand battling.

A lone Pokemon Trainer named Mikkel stood inside of an empty arena. The Trainer had light brown hair and a pair of excited blue eyes. He wore fairly basic clothing, which he favored because it was very comfortable. Mikkel heard a high pitched creaking noise towards the entrance of the large building. After looking in the direction of the sound, he noticed a fledgling Pokemon Trainer enter the space. Without taking the time to properly introduce himself, he shouted, "Hey! I challenge you to a Pokemon match!" He then reached down to his belt, withdrew a shiny Pokeball, and lobbed it into the air towards the newcomer. As it began to fall towards the ground, the Pokeball opened, releasing a bright red light. After the light faded, a pink blob was revealed. The Trainer shouted once more, "Let us begin, go Dopple!" Mikkel had a confident look on his face, as if he expected to win the battle before it began. He was confident that his Ditto would be able to handle anything that came out of his new opponent's Pokeball.

Stew having come off a tough training session was beginning to head home from the arena. It was late and Stew was expecting the arena to be completely vacant but as he entered the main atrium and started heading towards the dimly lit exit sign. He noticed a trainer standing with an aggressive stance. The unidentified trainer had that glimmer of battle in his eye and Stew relished in the possible opportunity to crush an opponent of unknown origin. The words that were shouted at Stew across the arena floor were like a straight shot of adrenaline to his heart. "Hey! I challenge you to a Pokemon match!" Stew quickly gripped his lone pokeball and shouted "Cavalier, light em up!" as he chucked it to the ground causing it to bounce a few times. In a deafening and brilliant flash of fiery red embers that quickly faded up to the arena ceiling appeared Ponyta. The temperature of the arena instantly rose a few degrees... Stew and Cavalier were ready to destroy the enemy combatant's...

Mikkel will use his Trainer Actions first.
Ponyta's Speed is higher than Ditto's, so he will go first. Since the Trainers have spent their Actions by sending out their Pokemon, Ponyta may now use a move.
