As I'm sure most of you know, Nascar is considering changing the points system. Basically, a driver would get 43 points for winning, 42 for 2nd, all the way down to 1 point for 43rd. In the event this happens, I'm assuming that we would follow Nascar?

I dunno. I really hope they don't change the format they have now. It's unique, and it's NASCAR. As far as the points system works, I think no change is the best change.

Well, the points system has been changed.1st place = 43 points 2nd place = 42 points ... 43rd place = 1 point 1 bonus point for leading a lap 1 bonus point for leading the most laps 3 bonus points for the win. Most points for a race = 48. Hmm, I wonder if there is any significance to that...

Lol i remember when people used to say the reason why we have 43 cars is because of Richard Petty..the 48 points...lol maybe....either way I like this..still though I wish that they gave out points for winning the pole...I say one point for winning the pole would be nice... maybe even 2 bonus points if you win both the pole and the race.

we'll have to see how this goes this year. I think the only thing they needed to do was give the race winner a few more points.
