::Mantra Faction Headquarters::
~Gozu-Tennoh's Tower~

Unlike the Assembly of Nihilo, the Mantra Faction keeps their Headquarters much more visible than other Organizations which pursue the same goal. This is possible because the Mantra Faction Headquarters doubles as the center of the Mantra Mixed-Martial Arts Organization Brass, the largest MMA promotion in Southern Japan. Their success on this front (via the several events they hold in the Port Island and Tokyo Areas every year) allows them to operate out in the open, putting their public face forward for everyone to see while their real face operates as if hiding in plain sight. The Tower of the Mantra (technically the Tower of Gozu-Tennoh) is where this promotion plans all their major events, appearances, etc via meetings of their top executives...amongst them being their current champion and the actual leader of the Mantra (officially a 'Personnel Executive').

Members of the Mantra Faction come and go through this Headquarters at will, and many of them are entered into sanctioned (or unsanctioned) fights for the entertainment of the brass and to maintain their 'legitimate' product. The subtlety of their intention to realize the Reason of Yosuga has allowed them to strike a deal with arena promotions for their MMA Events, but a personal history between the head of Mantra and the head of the Assembly of Nihilo makes it so that the two groups are always at odds. Of all those who seek Conception, these two are the most openly warring of the the factions...and often the two will meet in battle in back streets, or even inside the steel cage of the Mantra's events.

Tawara Bunshichi

At the very top of the Gozu-Tennoh's Tower, on the highest floor, surrounded entirely by glass, was a man. This man sat in a large black chair, behind an ominous black desk, and yet despite having the office, the furniture, and the prestige of a high powered executive, he seemed completely out of place. He had medium length white hair, firm well defined features, his clothes were plain, a regular T-shirt, stretched over his broad chest and toned stomach, regular blue jeans covering his legs, and no shoes. This man sighed slightly as he rolled a small object around in his hand, bits of metal glinting as they caught the light filtering in and around him, and, even as he stared at the small metal key in his hand, he reached over to a phone on the desk, tapping a button and waiting for the familiar, nasally voice of his secretary. It wasn't that he voice was naturally nasally of course, no she had a rather mellow what you could consider calming voice but for some reason phone com systems could change anything into the most annoying thing to assault your ears ever... As she finished speaking, ending with the 'what can I do for you today Mr. Bunshichi.' he shook his head, tapping the com button and speaking. "First, as I've continuously told to you, don't call me Mr. Bunshichi... Tawara is fine, second get me Sumire and Hitoshi, immediately. This is a matter of urgency." He said, letting off the button as he heard her reply, ending with, of course, 'ill get right on it Mr. Bunshichi'. He sighed, looking around at this stifling office before tapping in on the com for what would be the last time today. "Oh, and also cancel any meetings... and get me a new phone." He said reaching down and grasping the device firmly, his fingers digging through the out edges of plastic, before squeezing firmly, the entire device crumpling beneath his grip. This office... was stifling. he couldn't stand these business types that he had to deal with, or this office... The cars were nice, and the fact that it was a good place to work out with facilities and a ring was perfect, but everything else just wasn't his thing. Regardless though, it was about time to get out again. Now to wait for those two... the members of his Murim the most likely to be affected by this at the moment...

There wasn’t much to do in the Tatsumi port island, most especially if Hitoshi was going to find a good place to get a drink. Though surprisingly instead of living on the streets trying to polish his swords Hitoshi was in a towering building on the lowest floor, enjoying a small taste of the sake that was place in his saucer; he was running low on his favorite brand, so he had to learn to conserve much to his distaste. That was beside the point for the time being, Hitoshi was just here for the main reason of not wanting to be left out in the cold for the night. Being a part of the Mantra fraction did give him some benefits, one being able to sleep in a warm place for the night and not in some kinds of sidewalk with a broken cardboard box to keep the man warm. Before he could get comfortable and enjoy a well deserve rest, a female voice was heard over the intercom, saying that ‘Mr. bunshishi wanted as requested a meeting with hitoshi and Sumire immediately’ the only thing that came to the swordsman was a deep sigh, he really wanted to shut his eyes for the night, but the night was still young. He came walked towards the elevator with arms resting on the handles of his swords that were placed on the waist. Once inside he pressed the button to go the very top of the tower, the poor accuse for music began to play, this place practically had everything in terms of budget and yet they couldn’t get something more classical. "Oh what I would do just to hear the koto again, or maybe the Shamaisen" Hitoshi imagined those instruments playing within his head, it was elevating the silver haired man into a sort of harmony. It was great to hear such old instruments being played, Hitoshi gotten lost within his imagined musical until the belly noise of the elevator was heard which snapped him out of it. The door opened and Hitoshi ventured into the office. He looked onwards at the man in the black chair, though this place was made with a business tension Hitoshi decided to discard the formalities as he approached the man. "Ah Tawara, how are you? Did you call me up for a drink??" the man smiled brightly at the thought of that, taking his bottle he tangled it towards the man making a swishing noise within. " Kinda low, but I’m able to give us a few shots with it. What do you say?"

What would he want at this hour? Her plans for the night would have to wait, apparently. A scoff left full lips as she closed the lid of her phone, returning crimson eyes to the building behind her. She had been there all day without anything much to do other than to punch weaklings' faces in...and it was until now, that she had planned on leaving for the night to have a drink or two, that the frail sounding voice of the secretary interrupted her thoughts with a message saying Tawara needed her at that very instant. “This better be good…” Sumire mumbled darkly to herself, as she turned back to the tower she had just left, returning her phone to the back pocket of her shorts. It better be good…or she would have to relieve her stress with some spars and quarrels. A clawed hand passed through dark locks, these falling down over the almost bare back, contrasting with the pale skin as the woman made her way to the elevator. She had to admit though, that despite her cancelled plans (which...weren't as relevant or interesting as she seemed to make believe), she was curious of what was it that their leader wanted them for. The group had been kind of quiet as of late...so, did this mean they were going to make a move of some sort soon? ...Now that would be interesting.

The door opened, the woman stepping out on the last floor of the Gozu-Tennoh Tower and making her way towards the boss’s office with a quickened pace. The door was opened, and slipping inside and closing it behind her, the woman frowned noticing that Hitoshi had beaten her there, and she couldn’t resist rolling her eyes as she listened to the silver haired man’s offer of a drink. “Your cheap alcohol can wait, Koroko…” Sumire spoke out loud, eyes landing on him with an arched eyebrow before they shifted to the one that had called them there. “So…what do you want?” Better to end this quickly…instead of going around the matter. The faster they knew what was going on….the faster they could get to work on whatever the orders were…and the faster she could leave and return to her original plans.

Tawara Bunshichi

As Hitoshi walked into his office, Tawara looked up, his eyes blank for just a moment as he returned from being lost in his thoughts. Drinks... drinks sounded nice. That was something else this 'job' got him, any alcohol he could ask for, or food for that matter, though that option was rarely taken. He was about to answer his first arrival when the second person he had called for came in shortly after. Ah good, they were both here... this would save a bit of time, and he wouldn't have to repeat himself. He smirked as Sumire came in, snappy as ever, and even as he leaned forward from behind his desk, one thought shot through his head. Stay serious... stay serious... stay serious... "Well as always I want a good night with you Sumi-chan~" He started, winking as he leaned back looking over both of them. "Though sadly, that can wait... for now..." He starts, revealing the green key held in his hand to both of them. "I'm sure at least one of you have received one of these as well. Attached to these keys is the promise of a great reward. A reward that could most likely give us the boost we need over the other organizations to end this war with the Mantra on top. So that brings me to you two. I want you to work together to gather as many of these keys as possible. You are only to carry one key on you at a time however. Every time you receive another key, bring it back and we will keep it under locks here we can't risk losing a large number at a time..." He finishes, looking at both of them before withdrawing his hand slipping the key into his pocket and standing up. "Now go, get this done, and we will see about getting you some more Alcohol Hitoshi, and for you Sumi-chan~ welll I'm sure I can think of something." He said winking, as he waved them out. They were good followers... both quite strong, and very capable of doing what he asked to be done. The only reason he had sent them out as a unit is because of the people he had met at the war... Coming across one of the stronger people he had fought would be a challenge even for two of them.

"Tch...In your dreams, boss. It won't happen." the woman answered with a click of her tongue as she crossed her arms under her chest, narrowing her eyes. Just the usual flirting and usual comments. She wasn't snapping back...as much as she usually did, that was...only because there was something important to be said after all the mindless flirting. "And don't call me 'Sumi'..." How it...irked her. Made her feel like a small child. And, that was probably why he would continue using it, though. But snappy requests and huffs aside, the woman turned crimson orbs back to the leader of the Mantra as he began talking, seriously this time, about the task he had for the both of them. She listened carefully, and at the sight of the green key dangling in front of them, Sumire took out the black key given to her as well, showing it to him just for a moment before returning it to her pocket with a nod. The raven haired woman hadn't been sure what this keys business had been about, but the promise of power was enough to lure her in, with our without the orders given to them. "Understood. Steal the keys and bring them back here." she nodded, only to scowl at the sound of the nickname and the insinuation given. "Right... Keep thinking then." With that, she turned on her heels, giving one last glance and a smirk to Tawara, and a nod for Hitoshi to follow, before leaving the office.

There was work to be done. "Are you coming, Koroko? There are keys to be stolen."

He was hoping for the two to have a sit down and enjoy what remained in his little bottle before Hitoshi had to go and refill, but once Sumire came into the office Hitoshi’s face lit up at the sight of her. Already she began to insult the value of his sake, though true to was cheap at the price but still. "Oh my dear Sumire, don’t doubt the flavor that this Sake holds. One sip would send your taste buds into a wonderful bliss I assure you. " He said to her with his ever jovial smile. He was going to say more, but then Tawara came in to flirt with her, he chuckled at the two with cross arms then looked over at Tawara. "Hehehe, Aw Tawara-san you beat me to it. " he too was going to flirt with the female of the Mantra fraction, it was always fun to see how flustered she would get, but that was going to have to wait for another time. He fully turned to give Tawara his full undivided attention, though in his mindset Hitoshi was a bit sad that he was going to have to go out on a mission rather than just getting more sake for a big party. Oh well, he did have to earn he keep around here anyways. An eyebrow was arched, his pale eyes glistened at the orders he was given. Keys, all of this were revolved around keys that apparently hold a special reward, the smile seem to widen showing that Hitoshi was taking an interest in such a thing. Normally a person would find this a bit farfetched but considering he had a demon in his head and was in a war with multiple supernatural powered beings Hitoshi’s mind was willing to accept this ideal. The thought of gaining more power was more than enough to sway Hitoshi to follow, but even if it didn’t he would have anyways; there wasn’t much to do besides sleeping or training. " Keys, find them, steal them, return them here. Gotcha " another musing chuckle escaped his lips as he turned away to exit. Already Sumire was ahead him and waiting on the man, " Sumire my dear, please don’t be in such a haste. We’ll find those keys soon enough I promise you " Exiting the Office after waving Tawara farewell Hitoshi returned to the lack of sake within his gourd, it was pity worthy; at least to the man. His pale orbs were now fixated on Sumire with hopes of starting conversation as they continue to venture onwards. "Should we search along the island, or head for Inaba? And…can we get a new bottle of Sake while we’re at it. Kinda running low "

It was rare these days to find the Chairman of the Mantra sitting atop his lofty tower in his posh chair and behind his large, oaken desk where he signed off on all the fights of his group when the time came to put on a show. What with all his different little projects, his scouting for new recruits around the country and particularly in the Inaba area of late, not to mention all of his impromptu skydiving lessons that had been landing him conveniently all over the two spiritual hotbed cities the last month, who could hope to catch him in his office was really all a matter of chance. That, of a matter of well-perceived opportunity. Was it fate and ill-fortune that had landed the leader of the Mantra Faction in his Tower on this particular day, at this particular time, for this particular visitor that had come to call upon him? Was it planning? Anything but fortuitous chance which had him actually appearing to do work for a change when the Master of the Hellguard came knocking on his door? One might never know the true answer, the way that things worked with the Fiend that came now like a shadow of hate and pain upon his sometimes-home here in the city of Iwatodai. As it were, Tawara Bunshichi simply seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or was it the right?

It was only a few meters before the white-haired man's desk that the swirl of dark and flame emerged like a sudden pyre from the floor of his office, a mass of fire-red hair rising like some sort of summoned creature from the center of the circle with his blue eyes shining, pearly teeth shimmering in a wide grin as he examined the figure that sat behind the desk and waited to be greeted by him whether he knew it or not. His claws flexed as the tendrils of whatever Hell had spat him out retracted back into the hole beneath his feet and his boots set now upon the solid floor of the carpet, though the abyss was still there, calling, waiting to embrace him again in just a moment or two. He caught his prey's eyes with a predatory glance, a challenge and an invitation all in one. He had two gifts to offer this man today. One of them was an opportunity, one in a thousand lifetimes. The other was twitching, a red light on the tip of his fingers at his left side. It was death.

"Tawara Bunshichi," he spoke his name low, beckoning, but with a hint of superiority that must have instantly put the competitive man on guard, "If you live by way of a reason, then you already know what I am. And I know who you are. But none of that s**t really matters does it?" There was a wry laugh somewhere in his words, a glint in his blue eyes that screamed that he really didn't care what the answer to this proposition he was about to make would be. Accept it or don't, he could always just kill the man and shatter his pride, right? He was still pretty hungry, after all. "You've been chosen. To represent War and bring chaos, battle, and death wherever you go. To come with me. It's an offer I only make once," he explained with a smirk, the blackness and fire swarming around his feet as though it would engulf and consume him at any given moment, "Admit it, you're wasting away here. Pretending to be normal, like any of this s**t matters to you. It's a waste of time. I say, forget it. Come with me and do what you were born to do."

And so the offer was extended, for better or worse. His fingers were practically twitching, his claws sharp and his fangs almost dripping in anticipation of the feast if the musclebound man were to decline. But which option he would choose was still anyone's guess.

Quote:
[Tawara] is facing a decision! Will he go with the Demi-Fiend and join with whatever idea he proposes, or will he reject it and face the consequences of his decision?

- Go with the Demi-Fiend.
- Reject the offer outright.

Choose wisely! Once the decision is made, there will be serious repercussions and you cannot go back!

Tawara Bunshichi

Tawara was once more at the very top of the Gozu-Tennoh's Tower, on the highest floor, surrounded entirely by glass. He was boredly drumming his fingers on the desk, the rhythmic thuds pounding into his mind, mixing with the thought of just how bored he was sitting up in this stifling office, waiting for business head after business head to show up and give their pitch for whatever the hell they were wanting now. He had had enough of this... this sitting around, this exchanging pleasantries with weak fools. He was going insane slowly, and as he thought of this, the urge to vent some of his anger flooded his mind. He reached for the stainless steel phone they had replaced the other one he had broken with, grasping it firmly as the metal bent under his fingers... and then the floor in front of him started to swirl with darkness and fire, a man starting to emerge from this anomaly only... it wasn't a man, and Tawara knew this immediately. Tawara released the phone, leaning forward and resting his elbows on the desk his fingers crossing over each other as he rested his chin on top of them. His muscles tensed as the man fully emerged, the full extent of what was before him causing him to take up a... casual guard. He was ready to react should he need to, but for some reason making the first move seemed like a bad idea. He listened to the man, nodding finally at the proposition and leaned back in his large comfortable chair, rolling the thought around in his head. Do what I was born to do... well the only thing that came to mind when he thought of that, was fight. And compared to sitting in this office... this offer was outstanding. "Hmm... You're right..." He started, leaning forward and standing up. "Well, where are we going then?" He asked curiously.

Abandoned. The place was completely abandoned. The dark haired woman could even go as far as to say this was nearly in ruins… There were no weaklings roaming about like always, no people coming and going…Damn, not even Tawara was here anymore. Tch. She was gone for more than a few weeks, only to return and find nothing. NOTHING! What kind of shitty joke was this? Sumire walked around the entrance of the tower slowly, trying to figure what the hell had happened during her absence. There was urgent matters to talk…like that red clad clown mocking her a few days ago; she had been able to come out alive out of that one…freaking random idiot…but, she couldn’t say the same for her useless companion. What could have happened to Koroko when she left? She wasn’t sure…and didn’t care much either. What bothered her was the loss of strength…as much as she always looked him down, for his carefree attitude and love for the drink, she had to accept he had been fairly strong. But…obviously not strong enough if he had fallen that easily back then, the woman reminded herself sourly. She had returned here (putting in hold the mission of the keys for the moment) to convey this information to their leader. But… apparently this wasn’t necessary anymore. Nor looking for the ridiculous keys, as well. Either something had happened to the leader of the Mantra, or he had just left them to their fate. And none of those thoughts made her any less bitter…or any less enraged.

A growl rumbled on her throat before a fist flew and connected with a wall. “Idiot! Making me waste time, like always…” the woman scoffed to herself as she turned on her heels, moving towards the deserted entrance of the building, thoughts of what would be her next move swirling inside of her mind. She would have to move on her own…she didn’t need anyone to show her beliefs or her strength. But… what to do from now? Where to go? …. … Tch.

Tawara Bunshichi

In the midst of the ruins of what was formerly the Mantra Tower, a strong figured man knelt, sifting through the ruins. The fervor at which this man sifted through the wreckage made it feel like whatever he was searching for was important... or meaningful. Though there was something unnatural about the situation... the ease he showed in tossing aside rebar wrapped stone, or large block of marble was supernatural. He tossed aside bits of the once great building like they were no heavier than cardboard, and threw lengths of rebar as if they were paperclips. The building around him moved and shifted... but a while ago it wasn't like this. A large ivory tower, glass lining its sides rose and split the skies like an obelisk of hope for budding martial artists and fighters, now reduced to ash. This man now sifting on the ground, formerly sat atop this tower, leading it all as the strongest anyone knew. Maybe it was a deep irony and metaphor that had him sifting through the ruins now... Or maybe it was just him lamenting the loss of the lockbox that had all of the keys to his expensive cars in a nearby garage, something he had forgotten to grab before leaving the tower to Tala. "Come on, come on jesus the hot receptionists desk was right HERE!!!" He shouted to the sky even as he heaved a large stone slab to the side as if it were light as a feather, a loud scraping crash heard as it rolled and crashed onto it's side. Oblivious to the new comer walking around one of the most intact pieces of the building he stood up, stomping the ground fiercely, and almost comically as he swung his demonic arms pummeling the ground with windmilling motions and a scowl on his face as he smashed cement to dust, glass back to sand, and rebar into solid sheets of thin metal. "ARRGGHH Damn Tala, he could of at least left this place in tact. My poor babies." He said, a single tear rolling from the edge of his right eye as he stopped, taking a deep breathe... before starting to stomp the ground again, windmilling motions not continuing.

Boots crushing glass shatters and useless pieces of concrete from walls and ceilings was the only thing the woman she could listen to as she made her way outside of the destroyed building, after having her small tantrum and making her own share of destruction. A string of very unlady-like curses left her lips as she kicked the crooked scraps of metal from a door, the thing screeching before crashing to the ground along with the rest of the trash in there. It was just then that the dead silence that came after her 'stress relieving techniques' was replaced by a rumbling and crashing of the same debris she had been pulverizing a few seconds ago, a bit farther from where she stood. "Huh..." It could have been the boiling ire that had blocked anything else happening around her...or perhaps it was her own noise that had muffled anything else that had been happening inside the tower at the same time. But now that she knew she wasn't alone, Sumire tensed even when a humorless smirk crossed her lips. Well... at least she could take out her anger with the poor soul that unfortunately roamed the ruins. Bad luck... wrong place at the wrong time for the little b*****d.

It wasn't long for the former Mantra member to reach the source of the noise (the rumbling at her feet as rocks fell seeming a little bit off for it to come from just a random passerby...) only to find out, to her surprise (or perhaps to her luck) that it was, in fact, not just a random passerby, but the same man that had let this place turn into a shithole. "YOU!" the woman growled, unable to contain herself as she dashed towards the man that was still looking for something among the trash. Well this was even better! No innocent idiots would have to suffer, but the one responsible for all this! Ha! He'll listen! He'll...She'd...

A fast, demonic fist connected with Tawara's jaw then, the dark haired woman not caring if it had really hurt him or not...even if it was probably the latter. Tch, he wasn't (or used to be) the leader of the Mantra Fraction for nothing. Long locks fell over her face as she breathed heavily, deadly crimson orbs glaring at him before she let out a frustrated huff. "Boss...nice to see you well." she spat venomously, claws gesturing at the debris around of them. "Could you explain WHAT. HAPPENED. HERE.?!"

Tawara Bunshichi

Tawara continued to stomp the rubble, teeth bared as if he were trying to scare it into giving him what he was looking for, bits of rock breaking and flying away every time his foot slammed into the ground. He was hardly paying attention as Sumire approached him from the side, her exclamation of you! completely going over his head, written off as a figment of his imagination until her fist connected with his jaw, his head turning just slightly, accompanied by a slightly red fist shaped mark impressed into his cheek. He turned his head, his eyes widening slightly and his foot stopping mid stomp as he stares at the person who had struck him curiously. He continued to stare, blinking a few times, almost like he didn't believe she was actually standing there, and that if he blinked enough she would disappear... She didn't. "Oh... OH! Suuuuummmiii-chaaaannn!" He exclaimed reaching out and wrapping powerful demonic arms around her squeezing her tight against him in a vice like hug. He held her like this for just a few moments before releasing her and looking around, ready to respond to her accusations. "And oh... uh well funny story, the devil rose from the floor of the penthouse, told me he was about to destroy everything, and gave me a job...Then he destroyed everything and killed everyone, or so I thought. The job is not like a mission or quest mind you, but like a literal full time job. I'm War apparently... which I'm perfectly fine with. Speaking of which, do you want a job? I need a herald apparently... plus this was that devil guy wont have any reason to get mad." he said, taking in a deep breath as he finished his long spiel.

What the Hell was wrong with him? Not reacting to her attack like that!? It was almost as if he wasn't really believing what he was seeing, staring at her like an idiot. The woman scoffed, just about ready to bring him back to his senses with another punch to the face when the former leader of the Mantra fraction suddenly (and finally) reacted to her presence there...but she couldn't say it was exactly what she had been expecting. A smartass comment, sure... a smirk and a rub of the cheek, perhaps. But, not this! "Grk!!! Get away from me!" Sumire hissed dangerously, hands pushing at his shoulders to get some space between them with all her strength (and that wasn't said lightly), without any avail. He was strong, she had to accept that, but it didn't take away the fact that this was infuriating her to no degree. "Get off before I chop you to pieces!" Empty threats perhaps...but it at least gave the woman something to shift her attention to, instead of the uncomfortable feeling of skin rubbing against clothes, or how the air threatened on escaping her lungs if he kept squeezing tighter. Hands pushed back in another attempt to escape just as the same time Tawara released her, making the demonic woman to step back, almost losing her footing ungracefully.

Her chest heaved slightly, brows furrowed in an irritated frown as he talked, going on and on about something about the Devil? "Really? You expect me to believe that?" Though...it wouldn't really be as surprising. I mean, they weren't really the most normal group of people, were they now? But... The tower was really destroyed... everything was gone...and well.... "A job?" her tone was finally starting to lower, her muscles relaxing ever so slightly, anger slowly slipping away from her. That didn't stop her from being wary about this all. "Why should I? What do I win in all of this?" Because really....just joining this strange new group just because it promised strength wasn't enough...she had experience on those things. Look where it had brought her last time...
