Yeah, so, this guy is amazing. He's a Korean director best known for Oldboy; which is part of trilogy of movies revolving around the theme of vengeance. Sympathy For Mr. VengeanceOldboyLady VengeanceThey aren't connected in any other way. Just the theme. They can be watched in any order. I'm A Cyborg, But That's OkayThirstHis stuff is amazing and incredibly visceral. I think he's one of the best out there. Supposedly he's going to be doing a movie in America soon.

I've only seen Oldboy, but it was great. I need to check out the others.

Mr. Vengeance is the best one to hit next. The 'pay off' is pretty elaborate and crazy.
I haven't seen anything side from the trilogy yet, but I have Thirst on my HDD.
I think he's releasing a movie/short he made on the Iphone soon.

I've only seen Oldboy, it was very good, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I'm a Cyborg, But Thats OK looks like it would be a really weird movie, I think I'll check that one out first. Then, if I like it, I'll probably look into the others.

I'm another in the "only seen Old8oy" clu8. It was something I really enjoyed though, so I'll have to go ransack my dvd stack. I think I 8ought Lady Vengeance once when all the local movie rental shops closed.

Ah Mr. Vengeance, man that movie really kicked my butt. Man it was so intense and such a roller coaster of a ride, I loved it but I was all worn out afterward. I did like Oldboy better, I felt like it had a better sense of balance and character to it. I have yet to see Lady Vengeance though I'm planning on watching it soon.

He is an amazing director and his style is something else! I have Old Boy and my GF has Lady Vengeance, and you are correct. This director is amazing in just about everything he does. I hear he is making his latest film using an Iphone. I'm excited for just about anything he does though.
