Lately I've been seeing a lot of hate towards "Noobs". I mean...they can't help being noobs. But first off there are two classifications for the term "Noob".
Newb (nū'bē) - One that is new to something, especially a novice at using computer technology or the Internet.
Noob (nū'bē) - A person who partakes in activities meant mainly to aggravate other players. Or a person that doesn't understand that No means No.
See! Two completely different meanings...so they're homophones...I think. Now...we come to the point of who is a newb and who is a noob. I believe that a Newb is a person that joins recently...and achieves everything on their own...no donations, no handouts, nothing. But the moment they beg they become branded as a Noob. Well that's my belief.
So we need to be more tolerant to our noobs, because they could be the next richest person on Gaia. So here is my Grand Plan! Okay so today, the rich will donate something to a noob (What you consider a Noob, doesn't have to be a lot, just something). And tomorrow I shall be dishing out a lot of contests! If you have an idea for a contest and have spare gold then by all means create it, don't leave it all up to me so take the initiative...that's how you gain respect in a guild.

Totally correcto-mundo Cappy-Tain! Although it does irk me when they keep asking for donations of outrageous avi's worth over 430mil. Nobody has that much of gold in their hands, so how can that dream be achieved? I was a newb myself about a year ago, I felt like crap sitting next to those with over 60k avi's on. But look at me today. I never asked for donations. Love you Captain! 4laugh

Rockstar508 Why Thank You Wuppa! Yes those extremely high priced avis do irritate me....they don't understand the simpler the better I'll just quote you instead if you don't mind Cappytain. And I agree with you 5000% on that! Simple avi's are like the most amazing, most beautiful, and most liked in Gaia. It even shows on The Arenas with the Original Avatars entries. It's so bad I don't even want to see it anymore, although as luck would have it, some good ones actually do arise. And remember that Angelic Scarf? And Golden Laurels, Lusty, Those big anime eyes, the cigarette, the golden anklets, with Cloud, and a 'gangster' look? It really just irks me. No one is possible enough to get the Angelic Scarf, or the Laurels, or even the OMGWTF hat. Or the KiKi Plushie.

1. YES, captain! I agree with your terms of n00b and newb. My only change would be:
Newb: Someone who is new to something. Occasionally asks for donations, but does it politely. Example of newb ask: "Can you please donate to me?" "I'm in need of money, I have TONS of items I need. Donate to me?", ect.
N00b: Someone who isn't new, annoys other players, uses bad grammar ON PURPOSE, doesn't know the meaning of NO, and CONSTANTLY asks for donations in the most ANNOYING way. Example of n00b ask: "WILL U PLZZZZ DONATE TO MEHHHHH?!?!" "I need gold!!! I WANTZ IT NAO!!!!111!!!11", ect.
2. Yes, EXTREMELY high priced avvies are annoying. My newbie friend has 3 dream avvies, all over 1mil gold. I think actually over 2mil gold. And one of them involves TWO Gimpi's. I mean, really.
3. Anyhoo, I'll try to give what I have. Oh, and my newbie friend, moka-vampire-of-rosario needs help with her dream avvies. Yes, she's the newbie I was talking about in point #2, but I'll try to persuade her into making cheaper avvies. Maybe I'll make one for her. Idk. Well, that's all I wanted to say. YAY! XD

I agree with your definitions, Kirby.
I do ask for donations but I do it politely.
I guess I'm not really a noob though (am I)?
It isn't really a noob's fault that they are noobs.
It could just be they weren't a lucky one that got an easy 700k from a donator.
Instead, they got snubbed, quit, rejoined, whatever.
I have a lot of avatars, but I make tekteks for fun, mostly.
I basically just have them there so that when I'm done with my first, I move to the next one and soforth so I don't need to make more.
My noobie friends starrysky2night (sister) and Radioactive Teddy Bears, they beg people for donations. All. The. Time.
You have no idea how many times they get told to shut up.
Mostly by me.
I'm kind of a hippocrit in that way.
It is a little irksome when people PM you to get your gold.
Like when people try to hack me.
And when I fell for it.
LOLOL.
Yes, slang is irksome as well.
But I've gotten various random PMs saying--
'Hey, I have a quest, and from your avatar it looks like you have SOME money, so please give it all to me, or else you're a selfish person!'
THAT IS THE KIND OF NOOB I DON'T LIKE.
The rest I just pity.
But everyone, and I repeat EVERYONE, was a noob once.
