Our culture is saturated with advertisement with very attractive-looking men and women, as if to say, "Come on, you know you want it," or "I am irresistible." Sex sells! There is a verse that says "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your Word." But another important factor is motivation. Is the only reason I'm keeping myself pure is so that I don't feel guilty or ashamed of a mistake (not necessarily actually committing adultery, but something as simple as looking at a woman lustfully)? If so, that's a pretty lame reason. It's like I have a super-high libido and I can't do anything with it. And it's almost as if the more I try to resist or suppress it, the more powerful it becomes. What do you think? Any ideas or suggestions?
