*sighs*... My eyes... If only i were blind. Those of you whom know me outside of Gaia may all ready have an idea of my funny sight. There is an old saying "The eyes are the windows to the soul". Nothing could be more true. Any time i look into someones eyes... I have a vision of them... Past, Present, Future,... it never matters when i see... The main thing is that i have a vision every time i look into someone else's eyes... Its something thats pushed my sanity to the brink every time i walk down the street. Ive learned to ignore everything until the visions go away... And then blame the lose of concentration on "A.D.D." (Despite actually having "A.D.D.") Im tired however of simply hiding this part of me. There must be a reason this happens!!! Am i to try and help everyone alive? Or should i attempt to continue this pattern of downward gazing?

If you were blind, I suspect it would only get worse. Your mind being open to the threads of the past and future like that would only be more obvious with no light to get in the way. The eyes are the window to the soul, yes... but these threads surround each and every person and I suspect your mind's eye would see them - or more of them.
Perhaps it happens because your mind is simply more sensitive to the possibilities inherent in each person than most. Or maybe you truly can see their souls.
It'd be easier to work out if you had a bit of documentation... Perhaps it's not the past, present or future that you're seeing, but you're actually looking into their mind and seeing a portion of their mental world? (I'll admit, I find it all quite fascinating and I want to experiment - but I'm quite sure you're utterly sick of it!)
Try some glasses. Any pair. Sunglasses, normal ones with just plain glass (ie, the lenses are flat) or something like that. The mind (my mind, at least) finds it difficult to consciously push or reach through glass (or resins and some plastics...). I think it has to do with the crystalline nature of glass; there's something really weird about how crystals and the mind interact. It's why crystals make natural focii.
It should work - and allow you to look people in the eye.

Its hard not to chuckle about the advice of glasses... I'm virtually blind without my thick lensed glasses. You are right though. They do help. My "vision" is unfortunately powerful enough to oppose the opposition of the lenses however. Past... visions... without my glasses i have seen with great detail events i really didn't want any part of their knowledge.
I'm looking for some way to suppress this form of my "third eye", or preferably find a way to control it better. I'm familiar with a more ... "primitive" version of spell casting... but my arts are somewhat faith based... I really have a limited knowledge of controlling my thoughts. Meditation techniques aside... I'm quite clueless honestly in the finer arts of self control.
You are right... I am sick of these happenings... but I need access to your eyes for any form of experiments. Sorry

Hahaha... I didn't see that coming.
Okay, self-control exercises. These I can do. However, they do start off as meditation; this is for a good reason. While meditating, you can focus better; with practice, you come to be able to do these techniques at will, rather than only when you meditate.
The first one - and the best one for me, I find - is "the room". This is the first one I teach to anyone who asks.
Picture a room. As empty as possible and as featureless as possible. The walls are back in shadow, as is the roof; there's just you sitting in a chair in the middle of this room.
Take this image. Hold it. Put as much of yourself into this room as you can; smell it, listen to it, etc. Focus only on it. (Side note: If you're having a giggle-fit, this is an excellent way to calm down)
It may take ages to get a handle on this. Practice it, also every now and then during class. Essentially, this room is going to become your room.
It's a great technique to focus yourself. Keeping detail out is often more challenging than putting it in; focussing solely on this bland, featureless room and allowing nothing else in (it comes with time) helps to train your focus - and allows you to learn to block unwanted thoughts and mental images out.
It also gives you a place to sit and think sans distractions.
