Okay you Kingdom Hearts fans, I need some information. I'm too lazy to go and read up on it on every bloomin' website on the internet and figured it'd be more beneficial to talk to actual fans about it instead.
So basically what I want to know is...

Is Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded worth buying?

I ask this because I'm broke and will have to get rid of some of my old games in order to get it. That and I've also been heavily disappointed with the last few Kingdom Hearts games. Yes each was great in their own right and perhaps I'm a failure as a gamer to compare them to the first two games which I adored so much, but I can't help but be disappointed with them. I won't go into details of my dislikes unless someone wants to hear me complain, which I'm sure isn't the case.

Regardless, I'd like some input on the game. I watched some trailers, read a bit of info, but I don't know if I should spend money on it at all. I want to play it despite it all, but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed again and be out roughly $50 for buying it and wasting my time.

So some thoughts on it? No spoilers if that's possible, 'kay?
Thanks.

I can't say much only that its more of a puzzle game then anything els. Not to mention its another side story so its not part of the main story line at all.

So basically I can look at Re:Coded as a side-story turned into a game, thus it has no real bearing on the major core of the series aside from character development, a bit of entertainment, and a means of squeezing money out of Kingdom Hearts fans?

Isn't Kingdom Hearts III supposed to come out in 2012 some time?

That would probly be the best guess. I read up on it and found the story to it. Its not that interesting at all. On top of that you dont even play the ACTUAL sora. It all takes place in some fake vertual world. Lastly the only part of the this story that has relavance to the rest is momentary. This is what I got from reading online.

If I was you and you havent done so yet get Berth By Sleep. That game was amazing and if you follow the series it actual explains allot of interesting things.

I've actually played Birth by Sleep (own it honestly) but even though I thought it was pretty amazing, I was still disappointed in it. It was very short and I continuously got ticked off at the loading screens, though the whole "command board" thing was a nice touch. I think I spent more time playing that than the actual game. ^^;

As for Re:Coded, I'm enjoying it so far. I checked my local movie rental place and they had the game for rent, so I rented it for a couple of days. Sure I have no real idea what's going on but it's kinda fun all the same. Doubt I'll actually buy it though. If I don't beat it before I have to take it back, I'll probably just watch a play-through online.

Okay, I have concluded the game isn't worth buying but it is worth playing. I just finished the game, so not worth the...$39.99(ish) you have to spend at Wal-Mart to get it, but it is rather enjoyable to play. :3
