Sailor Kraken unlike most known senshi has always been born to mermaids, now extinct but once had a larger population then humans. There mermaids have little resemblance to the krakken who looks freakish in their eyes but is accepted as an honored nobility of their society. Unlike the mermaids that are her parents, Sailor Krakken has the ability to breath air as well as water. Her stronger, more reptilian like tail allows her to navigate on land as well as any human.
