I saw a program today on National Geographic about the Goliath Bird eating Spider... gonk It scared the heck out of me because I have a bit of a phobia of spiders, and this one is as big as a diner plate!!  I think spiders a really usefull and I would never harm one (besides, I think if you tried to hit it with your shoe it would take your shoe and hit back eek ) but someone made me soo scared of them when I was a child I can't really get over the fear of them. Sooo.... what scares you?

Spiders when I lived in the a different part of the US.
But not here. Earthquakes scare me. I still remember the stories my grandmother told me about the earthquake here years ago.

As weird as it sounds, aliens. Grey's specifically. I guess I kind of worry they're watching me sometimes or I'm going to be abducted but they way they look just really frightens me.
And the strange thing is it's totally unfounded, never had any contact or any similar experiences.

Fumyo As weird as it sounds, aliens. Grey's specifically. I guess I kind of worry they're watching me sometimes or I'm going to be abducted but they way they look just really frightens me. It's been since I was really little. Actually I rather enjoy the movies, even if they do make me feel scared or uncomfortable I guess it's like a safe way to face my fears. Plus normally they have positive endings so... Actually, when I get scared about things my first instinct is normally to find things out abut them. I stopped doing this with aliens since a lot of information is accompanied by pictures which just really get to me. Aah! I'm sorry, I know this whole thing sounds silly.

Fumyo Actually, when I get scared about things my first instinct is normally to find things out abut them. I stopped doing this with aliens since a lot of information is accompanied by pictures which just really get to me. Aah! I'm sorry, I know this whole thing sounds silly. I do the same! Something about needing to face your fears I guess! And when I was 8 or 9 I read a comic about Martians invading Earth, I had nightmares for months, so I don't think it's silly at all.

I am terrified of hieghts. If it's too high up, I'll start shaking and crying and just nowhere feels safe. crying I've tried to conquer it once, when I was hiking with my family. We went up to this watch tower called Harney Peak, and it's waaaaayyyy high up. Well, I climbed the stairs to go higher, trying to get over my fear. Just made me more scared. sad
Luckily here in Wyoming there aren't many high places for me to freak out over. smile

Balloons! I hate being close to them. I just know they're going to pop and that scares me like crazy.
Another thing is driving on the freeways.
I always have to ask my husband to drive me somewhere. I hate being like this. I have bought hypnotist tapes and well that was a waste of money didn't help one bit. Good thing my hubby loves to drive.

i used to to be very afraid of flying but i have recently beaten that fear but i am scared of snakes, spiders, dark places, bugs in general, drunk drivers....

I have a fear of claymation....
things like pee wees playhouse, Gumby, certain parts on the cartoon chowder, the music video schism by tool...the list goes on. eek *chills*
I guess the unusual is what scares me the most....its kinda weird of me. confused
