How do you propose we restore activity to this mausoleum? One has to have a plan if one is to have a goal and achieve it.

A noble gesture to be sure, but I have tried may times to breathe new life into this guild. Although it's not just this one which suffers, but all vampire guilds seem to be suffering similar fates.

I wish there were some way to attract more people to the guild. More members often means more activity.

While it's fun to blame Twishite for the current drastic loss of interest in true vampire culture, there's actually very little going on surrounding that fandom to cause such a decline.
We're not so much an Anti Twilight guild as we are just a vampire guild. The problem mainly, likely, lies in the fact that most "vampire" players anymore insist on playing the romantic side without embracing our... Bestial side. We are no longer known to be potentially psychotic creatures like the renowned Alucard of Hellsing. Instead, we get these... pathetic, lovesick whelps who only desire to wallow in their "dark misery" and not embrace the evil that we've embodied since the Dark Ages.
That alone has turned many people off from vampires, no pun intended. They're sick of badly played, poorly portrayed vampires. I know I'm sick of it.
I remain unsure of the rest of you, but I, for one, would prefer to deny new blood that is only interested in our culture as a romantic RP fetish. We don't need any more of that nonsense.

What my OC said. (If she offends, don't mind her; she's an elitist b***h, those of you who haven't met my dear vampiric alter ego. xD ) Like she said, no one plays a decent Chaotic vampire anymore. They're all, or seem to be, Lawful Good. Chaotic Good at best. But there's no true Neutrals or Evils being played anymore. I speak of alignment in D&D terms, by the way. Kat herself is considered a Lawful Neutral, neither good nor evil, but bound by a set of codes and laws. I digress... Horribly. My apologies.
And Antis are no longer outcasts. If anything, we are the majority. It is the fans who are the "outcasts". I don't see many of them anymore, except the occasional dipshit in SNF or Books proving the theories about the collective intelligence of their sort to be true.
I'm just sayin'. The fact that we lack anything to talk about doesn't help, either. I mean, I know RP is a core operative of this site, as you can tell by my slippage into the mindset of my own foremost vampire, but I'd like to see us have more than just RP and short talks on vampires and pop culture.
Perhaps someone should look into some of the other, more active vampire guilds and see what they have that we don't. I'll volunteer if no one else will.
Never mind. Take Valag at his word, he is correct (apologies, Val, if I sound like I doubted you; I had to see for myself). All vampire guilds have been languishing since mid-late '10. Even the ones who are for all "Creatures of the night" have fallen silent. Yes, even the RP-centered ones. They've all been languishing.
I will set up a new freestyle RP when I get the chance. It's been a bit since I last DM'd a freestyle, but it ran for two years with only 3-4 people at any given time, so doubt me not, kindred. xD I'll even provide maps, and I will not restrict you to solely vampire characters. That's how my last one ran for so long; each of us were running anywhere from 2-7 characters at once. I had 12 at one point due to running the NPCs the group faced and killed. xD
