That's beautiful.
If you don't mind, I'm moving this to Real Life Help, okay?
to me, life is a gift. It's a gift we shall treasure always. Many people will treasure our lives, too.

I'm assuming you mean in the philosophical sense, not scientific blaugh
As far as I can tell, life is everything. Everything, from the people we see and know and love and our vast collective intellect to the tiniest creature smaller than a mote of dust, from the vast and inconceivable universe we're rocketing through to the molecules that make up our DNA. Everything we know is life.
To quote some song lyrics (forgotten what song): "All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be."
Some may see that as depressing, but to me that sounds like as much as one could ask for.

A b***h.
Also, it's one long road trip, but no matter what routes you take, everyone ends up at the same destination. That being said, it's the trip, not the destination that's important.

according to me, life is a long journey that never ends. you have to dream as much as you can & your dreams will come true, you have to discover the true part of everything, find people, meet friends, have fun, be a nice and honest person. that's life for me!

life's about making mistakes and getting messy! → well, actually if you pardon the MSB reference I think that life is really about finding out who YOU are, and from the finding who you really want to become. And I think we accomplish this by making mistakes. We don't learn from what we do well--well, rarely.--but what we remember is what wen wrong and what was different from the last time!!! smile That's my two cents.

As a Daoist/Buddhist, the answer is not so simple that I can express it in words.
The best I can attempt to say is that life is what it is. By trying to describe it, I butcher the concept of it by planting an abstract definition and expecting it to be the reality it is not.

I think life is just one big messed up dream. Coming from a psycho's point of view. I don't like reality that much so I live in my fantasy world whenever possible. Also, I see life as this short period of time we're given to mess up and make small things last forever. I also see life as something I would live to the fullest before I die and become nonexistent, just another task I'll never do right before I get erased from this world.

Life is like a Dream
Sometimes its a good Dream
Then other times its a horrible Dream
But life is like a Dream.

Ryan Cahill Life is like a Dream Sometimes its a good Dream Then other times its a horrible Dream But life is like a Dream. Chuang Tzu: "Once upon a time, I, Chuang Chou, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was Chou. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man. Between a man and a butterfly there is necessarily a distinction."

Life is my daughter. Whether she's having a 'fun' day or is in 'pain in the a**' mode, It's her that rules over my decisions.

life is what you make it, to me it is a dream in which i wait to be waken from, my dreams a prtal to a reality in which i wish to enter, but the dream fades away and life takes over, and the dull point if its endless pen writes upon my book charting down my history as i move on through the days. the book to be closed and placed on a shelf never to be read on the day i lay still never to move again.

Remember, it's not that we our life is short, it's that we are dead for so long.
I'll think of a reason.
