A small town with a large apartment complex. There aren't many buildings here, and some older houses have been abandoned and nature has reclaimed them. People are found taking care of Pokémon and there homes here, there aren't many jobs, so people make and work for their own needs alongside their pokémon.

Quint gathered his things from his room. He looked around at the empty apartment and felt a tinge of loneliness, which quickly evaporated as Rizer the Drifloon floated into the room looking curious. "Yup we're headed out today Rizer, hang on, stay right there. Aaaand....there" he said as he snapped a picture of Rizer in the hallway. "Hehe you could be a pokémodel" he said. Rizer bobbed up and down at his words, obviously flattered. Well I probably should've cleaned up a bit more, but... I don't know what do you think?" Rizer floated around a bit and turned back to Quint with a dissaproving look. "Eheh jeez i'm no professional at cleaning i'll have you know, by the way you wanna grab that walking stick real fast?" Rizer grabbed the walking stick with its two strings and pulled, a book dropped from above and went right through him. "Gah did you have to go intangible that fast? Good reaction time though" he said rubbing the little puff on Rizer's head. Well we need to head out to the lab and grab a 'dex so we can make our way to the Elite 4, and take on Orsion J. Matter!" At this Rizer flew in circles "Driiiiiif!!" it exlaimed happily. Quint pulled on his backpack and looked back one last time, he closed the door and locked it behind them, pocketing the key. Here we go...

Quint left the lab with Rizer, but not before snapping a picture of Rizer by the Lab. "Hey Rizer, you think the shop owner'll let us have anything? It's not a girl so your charm probably won't work buddy." he said with a smirk at the little drifloon. "Flloooon loon driff" Rizer said being quite serious. "Oh whatever, if he doesn't like us we can get some stuff somewhere else, i'm sure." he said as they approached the store.
The shopkeeper looked up when he heard the pair enter and asked what they wanted, but not before casting a suspicious look. "We aren't here to steal anything alright? We just need some stuff for our trip to the next town, and we don't have a lot of money, what'll this get us?" the shop keeper handed him some fair supplies and sent them on their way, watching them as they left. "Drifloooooon" Quint heard Rizer say, when he turned he saw Rizer holding up a pokéball and a potion. "I don't remember you buying those Rizer" Quint said eyeing Rizer. "Drif!" it said with an attitude. "Well yeah i'm greatful but c'mon don't do it again, we may be poor but we can't resort to that, but good job you sneaky b*****d" Quint said with a satisfied smirk, slipping the potion in his backpack and putting the pokéball on his belt. "So Rizer, you ready to hit the first route? We've gotta go to the gym and get our first badge" Quint said. "Drif drif FLOOON!" it said excitedly rising up into the air looking towards the next town through the trees. When it returned to Quint's side it said; "Loon?"
Quint replied, "Um...how should I know if there's any girls on the way!? Well I sure hope there is, otherwise it'd be a boring journey! Anyway lets go!"

wakes up and sees aura (riolu) waiting and meditating.today "i guess were leaving arent we buddy?" (looks over at riolu who is nodding reapetidly.)"Riolulets go!" (exits appartment and locks door then slides key under door). "we wont be coming back there for a while will we riolu?" rii rii!

At an old house in Begna Town an old Tv was showing a fuzzy picture of a pokemon battle. The pokemon were Typhlosion and Dragonair. An older woman and an older man were watching it together lovingly. The man had his arm around the woman. The man looked behind him saying," Lilly, he brought out a Typhlosion!"
"WHHHAATT!?!? REALLY?!" a voice shouted from a bedroom. The bedroom was covered with pics of pokemon trainers with pokemon...FIRE pokemon. A cyndaquil was lying down on one of the beds in the room looking at his master. She stopped throwing things into the big bag on the other bag and ran out to the living room. "Come on Torch!"
The cyndaquil jumped from the bed and ran after her saying,"Cyndaquil!"
They both ran into the room and Lilly jumped onto an old reclining chair. "Hey hey hey, watch the furniture," the man said in a serious tone.
Torch jumped onto the chair and landed onto Lilly's lap with no flame. "Sorry dad," she muttered looking at the battle taking place.
"Quil,"Torch muttered, watching the TV too. Lilly and Torch both watch with fascinsation as Typhlosion and Dragonair were fighting it out.
"Well folks this battle is getting intense, but it seems Typhlosion is about to faint..."
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! HE"S JUST WARMING UP!" Lilly yelled, Torch getting mad said,"CYNDAQUIL!!" His fame was startin to come.
"Lilly calm down. You know what happens when both of you start to get excited," the woman said nonchalantly.
"I am calm mom," Lilly muttered.
"Wait just a second folks-" Lilly looked straight back ot the Tv," Looks like-?! I can't believe this?! Typhlosion just used Flamethrower!" Lilly and Torch looked at Typhlosion with wonderment.
"It hits Dragonair directly! Ladies and Gentlemen, Dragonair fainted! Typhlosion wins!"
"YES TYPHLOSION WINS!! FIRE TYPES ALWAYS WIN!!"
"Cyndaquil!Cyndaquil!CYNDAQUILL!!" Torch squealed, and causing flames to pop out and burned Lilly.
The mother got up from the couch to turn off the T.V.. She swiped Lilly's face with a cloth and asked," Are you ready to see the Professor?"
Lilly put Torch on the ground, and petted his head sweetly. "Yep."
"Really," the mother eyes arched," Let's see what you have then?"
Lilly ran into her room and grabbed a big bag." See! It's just books, a pad for drawing, pics of bro, and my pajamas!"
The mother just shook her head in defeat," Oh how I knew this would happen."
The mother got something from a plastic bag, taking only one drawing pad, one book, one picture frame and the pajamas out of the bag, and putting them in a satchel.
"Now this is all you really need."
Lily looked in disbelief at the little bag and said," Oh fine. " She grabbed the bag and took the picture of a young man in uniform smiling at the viewer saluting. She couldn't help but look grim at the picture.
"I know sweety." The mother wrapped her arms around lilly warmly," We miss Stuart too. But-" The mother went away from the hug and grabbed all the things from the bigger bag and gave them to her husband. "But we want some pictures too."
"Yeah," the father muttered by the extra weight. "Why don't you visit the professor first with Torch and then come back for your things. Were going to the store to get things too."
Lilly smiled,"Yeah!" She opened her arms and Torch jumped in and went onto her shoulders. "Will be back soon!"
With that they ran out the door, the parents smiling out of how their child is so optimistic during this time in Laetra.

Lilly ran out of the lab and ran straight home. Back to her raggedy home. She went inside and saw her two parents side-by-side waiting for her. " Lilly," the mother teared up wrapping her arms around her daughter tightly. Torch dropped to the ground. "Why don't you wait until tomorrow and then go on your journey."
Lilly knew what she was trying to do. She didn't want Lilly to leave like Stuart to the war. She remember Stuart and she playing with his Pidgey. She rembered why the army liked Stuart so much. It was becuase he was so good with flying Pokemon.
"Mom, I'll still call when I have the chance, and we will be back when were champions!Right Torch!" She siad looking down at her pokemon. "Cyndaquil!" Torch said with a determined squeal.
"All right," her father said, handing her the satchel. " Be safe allright. There's a bunch of creeps...and creepy pokemon. Oh we put some Pokeballs and medicines for you to make them stronger."
Lilly looked in and saw brand new medicines. "Dad these must cost a fortune."
He looked down," They....did.... but Sweetie your more important than anyone in the world."
Lilly smiled and huggef him," Thanks dad."
Lilly put the satchel around her back and laid her hand on the ground for Torch to get up on her shoulder.
"Good-bye, guys," She said sweetly, running out.
She ran towards the route with Torch thinking proudly," I'll see you again Stuart..... I promise!"
