We're members of Ravenclaw, we enjoy reading (for the most part) and likely have a diverse range of preferences when it comes to books. So why not share opinions, help with tricky vocab (for example: wen, dandy, sapphic, bauderike, jarvies) and give suggestions on what to read? Your more likely to remember more of the book if you've discussed it then if you simply read it.
Now, when suggesting books if you know the lexile score then include that- If you have no idea what a lexile score (maps) is, ask your english teacher and hopefully they'll know.

Title:
Author:
Translator*:
Genre:
Lexile Reading level*:
Your rating (1-6):

*Lexile and translator sections do not need to be addressed if the book edition is not listed on the lexile sight, you have no clue what a lexile score is, and if there is no translator.
The code is just a basic guide, much more can be added if you wish- even going so far as to include a summery of the plot.

Suggestion for reading.
Title: The Picture of Dorian Gray
Author: Oscar Wilde
Genre: Classic
My Rating: 5, it's a very good book and a classic but it's somewhat odd to read if you don't understand the plot or read between the lines. There are references to homosexuality (obviously, Oscar Wilde was gay and went to prison for it) but none which can't be overlooked or missed. There are several words and phrases which can't be understood without help but there are also some which can be understood from the context their given in.

Oh my, what book to choose! Hmmm.....

Title: Evil Genius
Author: Catherine Jinks
Genre: I'd call it Fiction but that could be disputed
Lexile Reading level: 720L
Your rating (1-6): 6

Frankly, it's an amazing book. The main character, Cadel, has a genius IQ at age 7 and can hack a whole computer network in a night. Really a fun read for all those Tech Geeks out there. Also a very outgoing plot line that was so hard to pull off. Which is probably why it's 552 pages long.
