115th Place, Alexander Residence
Exterior
A yellow, three story Victorian townhouse stacked directly above the Callasta Booksellers, Rain's house has dark red shutters and is well known for the spectacular view that can be accessed from the frontal balcony. The house is considered somewhat of a "corner house" since there are no houses to the right of it. The store, Callasta Booksellers underneath it, is surrounded by stories, however the stores to its right are the same height as the bookstore itself. To the left of the house, there are several similar townhouses pressed against one another that continue in a straight row until the end of the air-road. To the left of the house, directly in front of the balcony is a dock where steam-ships can park or dock.
Interior
Very classy with wood finishes and printed wallpapers, the house seems overall a grand yet welcoming environment. There are several shelves on each wall full of different kinds of potions and books, alongside precious knick-knacks and collectible weaponry that line the walls. The bedrooms are fairly nice, with a very comfortable feel. The grand bedroom (which Rain occupies) has a stone fireplace and several bookshelves. The overall theme is Victorian, and any metal inside is either brass or copper.

 One of the Chosen, Bringer of Balance
The sun flooded in through the bedroom, casting a golden glow on the polished wood that was carved into the ornate shape of the bed. The expensive satins and sheets thrown about the bed huddled closely around a tired being, a young man, with frayed red hair that sprung from the edge of the blanket. The sunlight forced its way into the young man's eyelids, as he was forced to wake up. Damn... Morning already? He had asked himself, as he began to shift within the cream-white sheets, the folds rippling as if the blanket were an immense ocean of white, subsiding to reveal the man underneath. He was wearing pajamas, or at least what seemed like it... only a simple unbuttoned night shirt and long cotton pants, both colored black, like the shadow the man loved so much. He rubbed his eyes before sitting up within his bed, glancing once more to the beam of light peering through his window with tired, aching eyes.
"Got to go to work, too... I really need to talk to the boss about these obnoxious shifts..." He muttered under his breath as he let out a yawn and stretched his arms, slipping off the side of the bed and standing up on the cool wooden floor. He took slow steps towards his bathroom, bathing and changing into his day clothes, a black long sleeve buttoned shirt with black pants and black shiny shoes. He wore a formal, deep sage-green vest over it and a long black trench coat he loved to wear often. He plucked his eye-patch from a shelf in his room, slipping it on over his white eye. He was ready for another day. Heading downstairs, he could not help himself but to go outside onto the front porch-balcony , which overlooked the vast expanse of the majestic city known as Callasta.
The wind whipped through his red hair as he leaned on the railing, watching steamships and other airships rush past as citizens went about thier daily bussiness. Little did he realize that soon their lives would depend heavily on his actions. He was Rain Alexander, otherwise known as Rainier, one of the Chosen, the seventeen-year-old Child of Balance...

One of the Chosen, Bringer of Balance
Rain plucked an apple from the bowl on the center of his dining table, slowly crunching through its blood red skin as the sweet juices leaked through his teeth. His mind flipping through thoughts as he stared outside the window. Once he finished the apple, he tossed the apple core into the trash can and walked back outside through his front door. He had a good hour before his shift started, but Rain always enjoyed riding his personal air-boat, which he kept docked at the air-bay in front of his house. He quickly locked his front door.
Stepping onto the fairly-narrow dock that was leveled miles high above the ground, Rain barely noticed the fearsome height as he nimbly walked across the firm, wooden planks and neared his air-boat. He climbed into the side activating the boat as the large furnace in the rear boiled alive, roasting the booster and causing a large flare to erupt from behind. The engine was ready and juiced up, heated for its next morning ride. Rain loosened the clasp that attached the air-boat to the dock and without a second to waste, sped off...
The wind was wonderful, and the sight was amazing. "Man... I love doing this..." he said with a sigh as he allowed his air-boat to dive, It sunk through the air, speeding past lanes as Rain drove his boat too fast and far too illegally. Under only a few minutes, he was chased by police in their miniature air-speeder. A red and blue light flared from the tesla-like lamps on the top of their speeder.
"Damn!" Rain cursed under his breath as the speeders neared closer to him... , yet with a swift swerve, Rain gained speed and ducked into a narrow alleyway, the side of the air-boat knocking into the brass wall, leaving a large dent in the side. "I got away fast enough for them not to get my registration number... but I will have to get this to a mechanic..." He sighed as he watched the police speeders rush past to look for him... They could not find him, and after a few moments, gave up and returned to their patrol schedules.
He drove out onto he air-lanes, scanning for a suitable mechanic shop...
"Thats it!" He said with a smile, pointing to a mechanics shop that sat nearby the outskirts of the city... "It reads..." he said as he looked at the flickering sign... "Spark's Gadgets and Repairs... perfect!" He said as he ducked the air-boat and tucked it neatly to the sidewalk beside the mechanic shop. He stepped out from the boat, analyzing the damage for a few moments before walking up to the front door of the store...

Rain stepped out from his elevator, fairly tired and somewhat drained. He fixed himself some supper, a little bit of stew alongside cider, and proceeded up his flight of stairs to his bedroom.
After but a few moments later, Rain was slumped on his bed, already changed into his night clothes. He grumbled as he could not fight off a pounding headache that slowly began to grow within his head. Why am I suddenly getting a headache? He asked himself with a sigh as he allowed himself to lay back onto the rippling white waves of his bedsheets. He pulled his blanket over him as he rested his head on a pillow. Sleep began to slowly creep up on him, however his headache prevented him from submitting to it. Damn... Rain cursed as he tossed and turned. Finally, his headache had no option but to submit to his weariness, and allowed Rain to fall into a deep sleep...
Hours passed...
Wake up Rainier... Wake up... A tiny voice called out. It sounded almost child-like, like a little boy was calling out to him...
Rainier... Wake up and find me...
Rain's eyes flickered open. Sitting up in bed, he looked around himself. He snapped on the light switch, causing a warm orange glow of light to illuminate the room. It was empty.
Find me Rainier, I've been waiting for you to find me...
Rain blinked as he scanned the room again. "Huh?" he said aloud as he slipped off from the side of the bed, snatching a small oil lamp from his night-stand and lighting it.
In the basement Rainier... come and find me... I'm all alone...
Rain shook his head as he slowly stepped from his room... "I hope this house isn't haunted..." He said with an annoyed tone in his voice. "That'd be annoying..." He took soft and quick steps down the stairs, a circle of light surrounding him from the tiny lamp as he opened the door that led to the basement. The inside was pitch black.
Rainer... You're almost there. Please come and find me. The young voice called out again.
"Stop calling me by my real name..." Rain grumbled as he proceeded down the basement stairs, flicking on that light switch. As the shadow retreated from the light as Rain continued down, finally reaching the basement itself. He looked around. There were only shelves and shelves of boxes and collectibles he had no use for, tucked in a corner was a collection of metal tools and parts. In either corner of the room were two boilers... or furnaces, so they were called. One of the furnaces worked perfectly, maintaining the heat within the house, however the other furnace was much older and hadn't worked since he could last remember...
Over here Rainier... The voice called out again, as the voice seemed to be heard from the non-functional furnace.
Rain walker over to the furnace, frowning again after hearing his real name being called.... Reaching the rusted old charred furnace, he plucked the rusted door open, making a piercing screeching sound as the metal hinges scraped against one another... Rain peered inside...
In the center of the empty furnace sat a lump of crimson red cloth... Rain reached his hand forward, brushing the excess dust and ash off of the cloth and slipping the cloth to one side. Underneath revealed what appeared to be a giant pearl. It was about the size of a basketball, nestled within the red cloth as it glinted under the dim light that shone through the doorway.
You have found me... The pearl seemed to say.
"You're a talking pearl? How... weird..." Rain muttered as he slipped the pearl from the inside of the furnace. For a pearl, it was pretty heavy...
He turned the pearl around in his hands, looking at all sides of it to see if there were any signs that one would most likely not find on a normal pearl. Nothing... a simple old pearl...
Suddenly, the pearl seemed to stir, quivering within Rain's hand as he felt something move inside... "Wha-!?" He gasped as he placed the pearl on the ground, taking a large step away from it...
Within seconds, the pearl cracked and broke apart, leaving a large pool of liquid on the ground and shards of the shell of the pearl everywhere...
"Gggrhreeeeehh" Rain could hear a raspy chirp coming from the center, and as he looked closer, his eyes widened... Sitting in the center of the broken pearl, about the size of a small dog, was a small, green, chinese dragon... You have found me Rainer! I've waited so long. I had to wait until you knew about my kind before I could reveal myself to you. You met a dragon today, and therefore it was my time to be born. I am Benjiro, your dragon! The childish voice seemed to ring throughout Rain's mind, the dragon seeming to sound more eager.
Rain was awestruck... "B-Benjiro?" He muttered as he stared at the dragon in pure disbelief. He was indeed a beautiful dragon. Long and snakelike with small legs, powerful talons and two small horns atop its head. a long trail of red spikes ran along the back and every so now and then, a long flowing tuft of golden hair would emerge from the skin.
"Your name is Benjiro?" Rain asked aloud, reaching out to touch the dragon.
I am Benjiro, your chosen dragon. I have been waiting for you well... pretty much since you were born...

"~So let me get this straight..." Rain began, sitting on the sofa of the living room. It was made of a comfortable leather, and the fireplace had been lit allowing a cozy warm orange glow to fill the room. He had dried off the little dragon and allowed it to sit neatly, nestled within a nest of blankets and scarves, on the other sofa that faced Rain... The little jade-green dragon brushed its scales with a nudge of its nose and turned around to face Rain, flicking its flowing golden haired tail back and forward with a calming rhythm. "You mean to tell me that I all along had a dragon just waiting for me patiently squished up in an egg in a furnace in my very own basement? How the heck did you get there to begin with?" He asked, still in utter disbelief.
"Ben-Ji-Ro!" The little dragon chirped happily, repeating its name in a most adorable little voice... Yes, I am your dragon, and I did have to wait for you to finally hear my voice before I could ask you to come look for me... I know not who placed me there, however I do know it was a woman... she had a sweet voice like one...
Was it... could it have been my mother?... Rain asked himself...
I'm not sure... Benjiro responded...
You can read my mind!? Rain asked, rather annoyed that the dragon has been accessing his thoughts...
We talk through our minds too... Benjiro said rather happily, as if proud of the ability...
Rain sighed and rolled his eyes with a smile... "I know just who I need to talk to now..." he said as he remembered his little visit earlier... "Miss Karin...."
