Owner: Karin Helpers?: None Looking for anyone to work here?: Anyone is welcome. If you don't know mechanics then I'll be happy to teach it to you~.
A large shop with... well... gadgets. The moment you walk in you'll see different inventions, and stuff in the middle of repair around. It looks like utter chaos but there's a clear path to the front desk. If Karin's not at the counter then just listen for the sounds of clanging or squeaking, that'd be her working on something. There's a door in the back that leads to a warehouse but it is marked as EMPLOYEES ONLY.
The door seems to be enchanted somehow and Karin is the only one who ever goes inside.

"So now shadow, my rose, my fierce jewel, my ravenous eagle of the silent heights..."
One of the Chosen, Bringer of Balance

Rain entered the rather large shop. Gadgets and small inventions lined the walls and several other larger inventions were scattered across the ground. "Wow..." Rain said as he silently stepped through the store, walking to the clear pathway that led up to the front desk... "Hello?" he asked as he took slow steps... "Anybody here?" he asked out again as he selected one of the gadgets from the wall and looked at it, twirling the small metallic thing-a-ma-bobber between his fingers... The gadget still in his hand he stepped up to the front desk...
" ... Who owns this place?" he asked himself quietly as he considered leaving and coming back at a later time...

Take a look~!
Karin
Mechanic and Dragon Rider
From the back of the store and out of sight, there was a sudden scuffling noise. There was a squeak and the soft click of a door before all went silent again.
"Hello~!" a young woman with a bright smile appeared out of nowhere from behind the counter. Her orange hair was loose and her green eyes were alive with silent laughter and a trace of innocence. Her clothes were layered, slightly unusual, but most prominent of all was the top hat she wore.
The girl hopped over the counter and in front of Raine. The aforementioned top hat was pulled off her head and brought to her waist as she gave a deep bow. "Grand Mechanic Karin at your service~. Nice to meet you~." She straightened and pulled her top hat back on, smiling as she leaned on her cane "So what can I do for you~?"

Rain nearly tripped and fell backwards as he re-stabilized himself... "Wow you scared the living..." he started as he watched her take a deep bow with her top hat. She appeared to be very... foolish, in a sense, and Rain couldn't help himself but to smile as she asked what she could help him with. "Well, I-er..." he began, looking up to her top hat. What's with the top hat? What mechanic wears a top-hat?... Is she good at this? I figure she has her own shop so she must be a professional... He pondered within his mind before returning the smile. "Nice to meet you too, the name's Rain... I'm here to have my boat repaired... how I got the damage in the first place I'd rather not share..." He laughed nervously as he pointed towards the door. "Is there anywhere you wanted me to park it? Or could you possibly repair it for me or must I make some sort of appointment?" Rain asked, eyeing her cane, he had never really had to go to a mechanic before so he did not seem to know much what the procedure was, despite the fact that Rain had sent his boat in to other workshops have special additions added to it for a more efficient and faster drive.

Karin laughed "Rather not say huh~? I get a lot of those~." Turning, she walked back around the counter and took off her green trench coat to put it on a stand that had been hidden in gadgets. She pulled off her top hat to grab the goggles before tossing it over her shoulder with a flourish so it landed perfectly on the stand. As she went about getting ready she chatted "You're actually rather lucky you know~. I just came back from business outside the city~. If you'd chosen to go speeding any other day I wouldn't have been around to repair it~." she turned to smile at him as though everything was completely fine. It seemed she had somehow deduced what he'd been doing before he came here despite her appearance.
The sunny young woman twirled the cane lightly with one hand as she grabbed what seemed to be a toolbox with the other. "I'll have to see your license~." She suddenly stopped spinning the cane and the toolbox was hanging off the end now. It could have been a trick of the light, but had the cane seemed... different for a moment?

Rain smiled as he rubbed the back of his head. "Lucky me, eh?" He breathed a short laugh as he slipped a card from his pocket. The card seemed to be a sort of laminated parchement with some sort of special encoding. A small and thin brass frame encircled the card. These were how most licensee cards appeared nowadays. The surface reflected the light from the lamp hanging above them...
"Here's my card." He handed her the card. There is something different about this girl. What's with the cane? She seemed to have a certain aura about her. It was different from others Rain had met. He could tell a Mages aura, and perhaps a normal individual's aura, but something about her seemed different. Rain decided to disregard it for the time being as he waited for her response. His eyes continued to eye her can with what appeared to be slight caution, though he attempted to hide his interest in it.

Why am I here... Why aren't I dead?
Quora Lightstone One of the Chosen, Shy Beauty of Lightning
A semi-tall, slender figure stood outside of what looked to be a repair shop. She glanced down to an old slip of paper in her hand that read the title of the shop, then back up to the sign. "This looks like the repair shop..." she mumbled, pulling the hood of a long black cloak over her eyes. She gulped before taking a few steps forward, about to push open the front door. Her feet stopped moving. Should I...? What if the owner recognizes the materials I used...? The girl reached back over her shoulder, grabbing a handle with frets on the end, and pulled out what looked like a guitar, glancing at the dented metal and four out of six broken iron cables. Then glimpsing down to the long, bright red cut that ran all the way up her leg. Oi vey... After running into that sick vampire-creature-thing, I'm gonna need all the help I can get. But no matter that. Here goes nothing... And she pushed open the door with one hand, holding the guitar by its neck in the other. Upon walking in, she felt her long, electric-yellow hair get caught in the door. "Not again," she muttered, yanking it out as she winced slightly. Her violet eye glanced around the interior of the shop, seeing there were many different pieces of rusted machinery, plus other mechanical devices, then looked over to the two standing at the counter. She walked up to a few meters behind the red-haired boy and would patiently wait until he and the owner were done.
It's because of the monster... That separated me from my family!

Take a look~!
Karin
Mechanic and Dragon Rider
Karin took the card with a smile and observed it carefully. As her eyes came across the name her eyes lit up with laughter and she handed it back to him "Don't like your name much huh~?" she murmured very softly so only he could hear "No worries~. I won't tell a soul~." She caught his eyes and suddenly stopped talking as she fixed an intense stare on him. It was impossible to tell what was going through her mind...
You're doing it again~...
A familiar voice chimed softly in her mind and Karin shook her head slightly to clear it. She grinned and nodded to Rain before gesturing to a chair "Please have a seat. I'll be done with it soon."
Without missing a beat she turned to the newcomer "Hello there dear~. What can I-" she cut off suddenly as she saw the cut on her leg. Not a word escaped her as she turned on her heel and disappeared into the maze of gadgets. A moment later she emerged with a first-aid kit and grabbed the Quora's wrist to guide her to a chair and sit her down. "Let's get this looked at~. Now tell me what I can do for you dear~?" she smiled and started attending to the wound as though it was an everyday thing.
You sure you know me~?

Why am I here... Why aren't I dead?
Quora Lightstone One of the Chosen, Shy Beauty of Lightning
Quora let out a sudden, short yelp as she was dragged over to a chair, having bandages wrapped around her leg. "Oh, t-th-thank you. B-b-bu-bu-but you didn't have to...do...that..." Her voice trailed off as she looked to the shopkeeper. "Well, I, uh..." She shyly held out her dented, iron-hard instrument shaped like a guitar, then pointed to the strings. "I j-j-ju-ju-just needed some replacement c-c-ca-ca-cables after these broke. And...could I borrow a sledge hammer to evenout the d-d-de-de-dent???"
She was hoping so badly the owner wouldn't notice the materials used to make her guitar were the same parts "accidentally" stolen from her shop a few months back... How else was it supposed to be used more as a sledge hammer or machete than a musical instrument?

Raine glanced cautiously to the new figure that entered the shop as Karin seemed to have implied she knew his real name. "Eh... it's not necessarily that... or... er... Well thank you." He attempted to find an excuse, but thanked her before he was informed to have a seat. He sat down momentarily, but could not help himself but to look and watch to see what Karin was doing to the mysterious girl.

Take a look~!
Karin
Mechanic and Dragon Rider
Karin finished with the cleaning and bandages just as Quora held up the guitar. The orange-haired woman looked it over with a smile but her eyes and demeanor gave nothing away. After a moment she nodded and picked up the first aid kit to disappear into the shop. She came back just as quickly, tossing something up and down in the air that let out a jingle. "Well now let me take a look at that~. You'll need these by the way~." she lightly tossed what was in her hand over to the blonde. As it caught the light it showed that they were keys. More specifically, keys to the shop. Oh she knew alright, but she wasn't going to say a word.
The sunny young woman pulled the rope of cable off of her shoulder and stepped on something sticking out of the toolbox. A sledgehammer shot into the air and Karin caught it while she dug in her pouch and pulled out a pair of lineman's pliers. She left both next to Quora and disappeared into the shop again before returning with a giant sledgehammer. Once again she grabbed her cane and toolbox where she'd left it and the cane seemed to change once more as she balanced the toolbox on its edge before the moment passed and it was gone. She turned to the two with a grin "I'll be right outside if you need me alright~? Make yourselves comfortable~." With that, she stepped outside and got to work on the boat.
From the back of the shop there was a small scuffling noise and then an eerie creak. If one were to go to the back they'd find that the door to the warehouse was open...
You sure you know me~? ((@Hime: I hope you mean the shop because the only way to get into the warehouse is through the door in the shop that's enchanted so only Karin can enter. It is quite literally an impenetrable fortress. XD On another note: It begins! XD ))

Why am I here... Why aren't I dead?
Quora Lightstone One of the Chosen, Shy Beauty of Lightning
Quora just stared shocked as the woman tossed her what looked like a ring containing a set of keys. She was unsure why they would be needed, but gripped them tightly anyways. Her violet eye glimpsed over as the shopkeeper left to work on the boat outside, then shakily called after. "W-w-will do Miss... Oh, never mind..." She sighed deeply and put a hand to her forehead, wondering why she was cursed to be so stubborn and shy.
She then looked up to the redheaded boy and laughed nervously under her breath. "So...what happened to your boat?" Quora asked, trying to make small talk. "D-d-did the side dent pretty badly? I always hated having to own big vehicles like that because they were such a handful and I never really used one much. Plus I was always a pretty bad driver. So I guess unless my old air cycle whacked into the side of a building during the middle of a high-speed chase, it was because of my reckless driving~!" Her tone was actually becoming lively for the first time in a long while. She proceeded to slap a hand over her mouth and looked down to the floor shortly after.
"Of course, the only manmade thing I use nowadays is my guitar. I made it out of some metals I found in this one building a...few months...ago..." She said too much, proceeding to stand back up and walk around the store's interior a little. Upon leaning down to look at one huge metal gadget, she lost her balance on the bandaged leg and fell over with a short yelp, making a bunch of loud clangs as stuff shifted under her weight. "Ngh... I'm alright! Nothing broke!"
It's because of the monster... That separated me from my family!
((Of course I meant shop. I meant the back room of the shop with a bunch of metals, tools, supplies and whatever, and I thought that was the warehouse. So meh~. xp XD))

Rain smiled and looked up to the blonde, he rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he attempted to find the best way to explain the situation. "Heh, well... I kinda sped a little too fast and ended up banging the boat into the wall a bit. I'm s pretty good driver for the most part, but I am sorry to hear about your airbike." Rain smiled a kind, boyish grin as he took a quick glance around the store, hearing scuffling coming from the back of the store... He could have sworn he had seen the back door open only slightly. "The name's Rain by the way. A pleasure meeting you." he said as he returned his attention to the blonde. He watched as she had fallen and without so much as a second to blink, he had held out his hand to help her back up. "Are you okay?" he asked as he guided her back to the chair.
Rain eyed the large mess of nails and gadgets, along with a pail that appeared to hold on to some sort of black powder were scattered across the ground. "I'll be right back, I'm going to check and see if there is a broom around here. I may as well clean up the mess." he assured Quora as he headed towards the back of the shop, behind the counter, scanning and looking above and below shelves for a broom... As he continued, he noticed a slightly worn metal door labeled 'Employees Only'. The door was slightly ajar, and the sound of scuffling could be heard from inside. Rain figured he could find a broom in the room, so he opened the door with a creak and entered the room.
I think this is the warehouse I noticed earlier... It's so dark in here, isn't there a light switch? Rain felt around the dark space, hoping to come in contact with a switch...
