I don't understand why Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Yes, I know that it helps you burn calories and such, but doesn't it also give you calories? I hate breakfast, it's so annoying to get up and be forced to eat. Don't get me wrong: I'm not anorexic.

Breakfast can help curb your appetite. Not eating breakfast can cause problems to your metabolism, and concentration during the day. If you have trouble eating breakfast, than I'd suggest starting small and having a slice of toast and drinking some water or juice. That's usually enough to break the fasting your body went through during the night.

Your metabolism works when you have food. Like....when you're sleeping your body is burning very little colories compared to right after a meal. That's why the best way to eat is actually in very tiny portions every few hours, because it keeps your metabolism running!!! smile It also helps you focus in the morning. Your body does need energy to get up and do all the things we want it to do!! smile

My least favorite meal is breakfast. But I like to eat it anyway. 'Cuz I love toast. It's yummy.

Having had many teens in my home over the years, I found the perfect remedy to those who didn't want to eat breakfast. What, you ask? They were allowed to eat anything for breakfast that was in the fridge. Cold pizza, fried chicken, spaghetti, or anything that was left over from the day before. When I started doing that, even those who said they hated breakfast started eating it.
Many times a neighbor would see one of the teens eating a chicken leg or a slice of pizza while waiting for the bus. One neighbor even called me to tell me about it! When I asked her what her children ate for breakfast she said "Nothing. They hate breakfast foods." All I could do was say "Touche" and laughed as I hung up!

I don't know about any of y'all, but I'm not always hungry at dinnertime. So then I wake up hungry. Breakfast is a must for me, and lunch as well. I love me some bacon egg and cheese tacos.

I can't imagine not being hungry around dinner; that's usually when I'm the hungriest, as well as after i start eating. I used t hate breakfast, breakfast fod in particular (I typically only crave eggs every once in a while, and breakfast meats other than bacon don't appeal to me much). In fact, I rarely eat bacon for breakfast; i usually have it with lunch or dinner. I never had time for breakfast either. ever since i started dieting though, I've been eating breakfast, typically carbs like pancakes and waffles, now that I have time, and I run about 5 miles 5 days a week, so it's a nice thing to have an hour or so before a run. Oatmeal is big in my book as well, and is even better for a pre run breakfast; i typically frying it or flavor it though so it's fun to eat. As far as making me less hungry...well, I haven't noticed much of a difference. sweatdrop

Well breakfast means to break your fasting. So breakfast doesn't mean it has to be in the morning, though its recommended and people believe that's what makes it a breakfast. I've often been eating late at night before i sleep cause i know i'll wake up around the afternoon already, cause it's summer 3nodding

Yeah I know what you mean. I usually don't like most of the things that people generally eat for breakfast other than coffee. I was never a big fan of cereal, pancakes, waffles, toast, etc. I do like eggs and bacon and sometimes sausage, but that is about it.
