And the green flag waves for Bud Shootout picking!
BUD SHOOTOUT RULES! (I'm making them up since Triple and I didn't discuss them.)You pick ONE driver, ONLY one driver for the shootout.
Picking is just like a normal race, first come, first serve.
No points will be awarded, just bragging rights. Maybe I'll throw in a prize...just don't expect something awesome.
Picking is from NOW until Saturday Noon EST. That's 9AM for you on the west coast.
Look at my horse, my
horse is amazing!2/13

Chip gets the unlucky dog for Talladega!4/17
After a very exciting race at Talladega, yours truly has taken over the points lead. Triple falls to second while Melethia takes over third and is just two points behind Triple. Meanwhile, Bolt is just one point ahead of Crossfire in fifth. Could this signal a changing of the guard up front?
Triple gets the unlucky dog for Richmond!5/1
I extend the points lead thanks to Kyle Busch and a quick mouse finger. Melethia overtakes Triple for second
and Crossfire has a DNQ. After some time in the pits Nascar900 gets back on the track, but both he and Pearl have trouble.

Nascar 900 gets the unlucky dog for the Coke 600 at Charlotte!5/30
After the longest race of the season, most of us have a bad day. Crossfire and newcomer Demon_boy224 are the only two to post a decent finish, while the rest of us are 16th or worse. Melethia gets a firmer grasp of second while Crossfire edges closer to the top five. 2008 champion Shadow3199 makes a return to competition while

We're not in Kansas anymore and Crossfire, Dark, and Shadow all post good finishes. Dark slips past Bolt for 4th as the battle for 2nd through 6th tightens up with only 34 points separating them. Nascar900 and Chip both have off days, with
Chip getting the unlucky dog for Pocono!6/12
What a race! We ended up picking the TOP 6 finishers! I recall us picking the top 5 before, so it looks like we topped it! In more important matters, Pearl gets her second win thanks to Jeff Gordon! Bolt leapfrogs up to 3rd while Triple falls all the way back to 6th, though he he just one point behind Crossfire. Thanks to Carl Edwards engine troubles,
Shadow gets the unlucky dog for Michigan!6/19
Dark picks up his second win with Denny Hamlin! Dark takes over 3rd while Triple climbs back up to 4th. Soultrain stayed up too late playing Portal 2 and Minecraft and is reaaallllly tired right now.
Crossfire gets the unlucky dog for Sonoma!6/26
Since there have been no objections, I have applied the last place points to Hell_Boltz and Nascar900 tallies for Michigan due to the confusion about Autopicks.
After a fierce race at Sonoma, most of us have a good day. Pearl and I have okay days, and Chip's day goes from great to gonk in one turn. The points stay quiet this week.
Chip gets the unlucky dog for Daytona!7/3
Big changes in the points this week after the the Coke Zero 400. Dark takes over 2nd from Melethia, who falls to 3rd, just ahead of Bolt. Triple has a DNQ and falls to 6th behind Crossfire. Thanks to Carl Edwards misfortune,

Bolt gets the unlucky dog for Indianapolis!7/31
Congratulations to Paul Menard and getting his first in in style! In our race, I join the 700 club while Melethia overtakes Bolt for 3rd and is now breathing down Dark's neck. Chip is beginning to close in on Triple, who is still missing.

Melethia and Bolt continue to swap second place, with Melethia there this week. Triple makes a return appearance and starts to fight Chip for 7th. Overall however, it was a bad week for the top five, with three of us finishing 34th, 35th. and 36th. For the first time this year,

The infamous Bristol night race is over, and the fight for second continues! Dark leapfrogs Bolt to take 2nd away from Melethia, who falls back to 4th. thanks to Greg Biffle's misfortune.
Melethia gets the unlucky dog for Atlanta!9/6
After an odd Tuesday race, the chase is starting to fall into place. Pearl, Shadow, Nascar900, and myself are now locked into their spots. The battle for 2nd is super tight with Bolt, Dark and Melethia being separated by just 5 points. Crossfire could still get into this fight, though it's now unlikely with 39 points separating him and 4th place. Triple would need to make up 35 points to pass Chip for 7th. Unlucky dog this week goes to Pearl...which due to how late everything got run is kinda pointless, so
Pearl gets an unlucky dog for Chicago!9/11
After a wreck-fest at Richmond, the Chase is set! After a great deal of working the calculator, the points have been reset, and I'm still in the lead, but there is a new face in 2nd, Pearl! After the second rain delayed race in three weeks, there has been a big shake-up in the points. For the first time in five months, there is a new points leader; PEARL! I drop to 3rd with Melethia in 2nd. Thanks to Jamie McMurry's engine,

Pearl extends her lead of Melethia slightly while I fall further back. Dark and Triple trade places as do Chip and Shadow.

Bolt winds up with the unlucky dog for Kansas!10/9
Pearl continues her domination with her second win in the chase. But Wait! What's that smell? You probably thought it was Jeff Gordon's engine. NOPE!
It's Chuck Testa! It's my lousy pick!
crying Thanks to it, I drop down to 4th in the points behind Crossfire. Accordingly,

Bolt, who gets the unlucky dog for Texas!11/6
Tony wins again, with Shadow benefiting this week! With that, he overtakes Bolt for 5th. Pearl has an uncharacteristic day with a 16th place finish, her worst of the chase, allowing Melethia to move with 47 points of the lead. Thanks to the Kyle Busch incident and subsequent bad showing by Michael McDowell in the #18 car,
Bolt gets the unlucky dog for Phoenix!11/13
