Biography: Zhao Tong doesn't remember much about his childhood, mostly because he didn't have one. He spent every day of every year training, sparing, dueling, and sailing to prepare himself for the position he'd grab in the future. He had no parents to speak of, but was adopted by a family all nice and close with the Fire Nation Navy; the father was some admiral or something important.
He knows the rules: Fire Bending is a method of destruction. He knows that's what he was taught, but he learned something different. What can destroy can also protect. That became his mission upon joining the Navy: to protect his people. And he did so, and climbed the ranks as he aged. He became known for his amazing intelligence and strategic value.
