Rushing along the frozen woods brought flashes throughout Kang's mind. He saw the icy tundra of his long forgotten hills his father once proudly protected. He felt the freezing winds pierce through his chest; filling his lungs with the bitter air as it refreshed his soul. Even the burning chills of the fresh powder caressed his face as he witness the wild mustangs trampling throughout the snowy peeks. He could even feel the loving embrace of a mother as she held her boy close. A boy. He was no longer a man battered by the world. Kang was a child. A mere boy untainted by the world's injustice, rather. He knew nothing of the cruelties that he endured. He recalled nothing of the scars he bore. All he could recall was the security he felt. The gentle touch his mother left upon his hand as they sifted throughout the snow as they observed his father stare across the mountaintops.
But as these memories filtered throughout his mind, reality snapped back as quickly as the bent branch snapped across his chest. He was not home. He was not a child. He was a man--nay, a slave. Nothing more than property to the eyes of the law. And he will remain as such till the bitter end.
Sprinting along beside the winded woman, Kang decided that now was a good time for questions to be answered. No-one pursued for a great deal of time, and no-one was to be seen over the horizons. "Mistress Alice," he bellowed as he continued to move rapidly along, "if I may be so bold as to ask: What is the reasoning for our hasty retreat? Those men appeared to be of the guard. Please tell me I was not purchased by a fugitive."

Watching the flustered girl wade her way furiously through the snowy mounds, Kang could not help yet hang his head in jest. "Such a fiery spirit that one." Grinning audaciously, he then leaped forward and lifted her up without warning nor subtlety. Marching steadily up the banks, he stared onward as the snow heavily beat across his face. "Alas, poor Yorick, I knew him, Horatio. A fellow of infinite jest--of most excellent fancy." Grinning once more, he glanced into Alice's crimson eyes. "Your bounty is none of my concern. All that does matter to me is getting up this mound. And don't mistaken my gesture as kindness. Like you said, if you were to go, so would I."

Hearing her question his motives, Kang looked down once more into her softened eyes. Smirking once more, he loosened his grip slightly, but still restrained her to his beating chest. "It's not that I despise human contact. Just that sometimes that it's necessary for survival. You seemed to be buckling to the frosty conditions. I figured that you could use a slight break." As he kept pacing onward, a silhouette of a cabin began to form in the distance as the icy rain bellowed down upon the two souls. "Besides, Miss Alice...you need to keep well. If I am correct, we appear to rely on each others well being quite heavily. If something were to happen to the other, both of our worlds would collapse."

Alice just stares at Kang when he answers her question and feeling unsatisfied on his response. She could not help but wonder more about him. Continue to feel puzzled on his attitude. She began notice he was a bit different in some way. Thinking to herself for a moment on what to say. A sigh was let out to feel uncertain whether or not she should comment about the world collapsing part but deciding not to. She gave Kang a look. “You’re depressing,” she told him with a pout, “quit saying ‘mistress’ and ‘miss’! I told you already, you don’t have to be that polite with me. Just call me Alice unless you want me to start calling you Mr. Kang..” Giving Kang a stern look, the smirk that he had began to bug her. Feeling irritated as she watch him smirk more and more. She then began to struggle a bit in arms to feel uncomfortable with him carrying her. Even though she is quite happy that he is caring for her in some way. It was a bit hard of to believe that he care that much for her well being. At least, she believes so. “Put me down!” she told him in frustration, “I’m sure your tired from all that running so allow me walk so you won’t be too exhausted once we get home!” Hoping that he would put her down so that she could walk the rest the way to notice the cabin is not so far from them. Truthfully, she did not like the idea of a man picking her up. Especially someone she did not know too well. Even though Alice was aware that Kang will not hurt her. Her trust towards him was quite shaky. [[Blah, almost forgot again. What is F.E.A.R? Is it base off of a video game, a book, or something you thought of on your own??]]

((My F.E.A.R. guild is...was based on the F.E.A.R. video game. The first one.))
Like a flip of the switch, Kang's eyes grew dreary. That lightened gleam diminished and grayed over once more. His arms felt heavier as Alice's words rambled on throughout his brain. Her words, though spoken from a proud individual, seemed to drag on as if a nail screeching across a glass window. "See what being polite gets you?" His thoughts bounced about as they dissolved with his conviction. Feeling her buck and twist to be released, Kang looked upward once more. Dulling his glance even more-so, he instantly released her; dropping the woman flat into the snow. Halting in his pace as to not step upon her, he looked down upon the woman with the deadpanned tone. "Whatever you say, Alice," his voice empty as his mind.

She continues to struggle in his arms and once he releases her by simply dropping her. She fell onto the snow with a thumping sound. Showing no sign of pain or distress on what he did. She slowly stood up and pats away the snow on cloak but feeling the wetness on her back have her ‘tch’ and take off her cloak. Untying the string on her neck to reveal she was simply wearing a purple spaghetti strap shirred chiffon party dress that stop to her knees. She then ties her long black hair back with a ribbon she held onto since her visit to the marketplace. Going ahead of Kang to not care on what he’ll do now after what happen. She hurriedly her way towards the cabin to see smoke coming out of the chimney. As a small smile form on her lips to know that someone was still home. ‘It looks like they’re home still,’ she thought happily as she run towards the front door to find it lock. As a puzzle expression form, she turns her head to her right where the mail box is located. Opening the box while going onto her tippy toes to search for the key inside. The sound of an object sliding around have Alice quickly grabs it. Taking out the key to unlock the door to walk inside. Her eyes wander around the living room in worry. “Hello?” she said in a confuse tone before taking off her shoes to head towards the dining room to her left. [[Huh, I never heard of that game before. ((Yeah...wished the guild kinda kicked over. Oh well.))
Idly standing within the old pine threshold, Kang peered around with a melancholy glare. His body sank as his shoulders once again suffered the world's weight. The dank hollows of his mind once again scoured through and radiated like the blazing sun. "So...this is your home, eh?" Eyes cocked to and fro; carefully assuring no threats to be found. "Quaint." Though sincere, his voice rang a lifeless and dull droll.
Sealing the door behind him, wisps of falling flakes whisked in as it heavily sank back into its lock. Shuttering once to shake the winter blanket, he peered once more about. As his eyes caressed every object in view, he began to make mental notes of every window, door, threshold--even every seam in the wall. "Interesting choice of decor." Again his voice rang with the deafening tone of apathy. "Between the bay windows, pine doors, and second story, you've got your options of escape. Question is...are you man enough to follow through?" Rolling his shoulders about once more, Kang dragged his hand heavily across his brow and down along side his cheek--almost clawing his own flesh. Head titled forward and eyes locked steadily upon the maiden, he asked drearily, "If I may be so bo--Ah, screw it. Who are you expecting to be here?"

Quickly looking around the house to be sure that it was empty; it breaks her heart to find no one present. As a sad sigh escapes her lips to find everyone gone have her wonder why they suddenly decide to leave so early but as she shrug to know it was important. She made her way back to the dining room to notice the table filled with food and drinks. Folding her arms with a suspicious look to see table being set up for two people to eat have Alice twitch on their sneaky plan. ‘Idiots,’ she thought angrily as she walks up the table to see what was made. Grabbing one of the lids to see what was inside. The smell of lobster mix with vegetables fills the air. Smelling this have Alice smile gently to know Felix took his time before he left and as she gently place the lid back to its place before checking the other lids to find one plate full of biscuits, a plate full of Vietnamese aromatic lamb chops with rice, and another plate full of multiple of different cheesecake. Her eyes then wondered to the drinks to find some alcohol and juice. ‘let’s hope he’s not a drinker’ she thought with a worry before walking back to the front door to see Kang inside with a question. “Irene and Felix were suppose to be here but it seems that they left early,” she answer his question before noticing a pile of papers lying on top of a small table nearby the door. Letting out another sigh to see the pile quite large have Alice rub her head in irritation to know what is. “The town never gets enough remedies,” she said sadly as made her way towards the pile and pick up a yellow note. Staring at the yellow folded piece of paper for a moment before unfolding it to see what is written. She read quietly to herself,
“Hey Alice,
Sorry that we’re not there to meet our new family member but we had an emergency to attend to so hope you do not mind us being gone for a couple of months. Dinner has been already made for you guys so enjoy! Also, be sure to take your medication before bedtime or else you’ll get sick again. I don’t think your new companion will be pleased if he finds you sick with a high fever. Enjoy your time together and have fun~!!
Lots of loves, Irene & Felix
P.S. Here is the list of remedies that needs to be made. Apparently, your rosemary leaves is quite popular. See you in a couple of months!”
Staring at the note for a minute with a twitch before letting out a long, sad sigh on the work that has to be done. Alice eyes wonder down on the pile of papers. ‘Have fun with my new companion?,’ she thought to herself unhappily, ‘after what happen a few minutes ago, I don’t think we’re going to get along.’ Putting down the note to pick up the folder to see what kind of remedies that needs to be made. She opens the folder and slowly begins reading with a concern look. After a few minutes of silent. She then shut the folder, locks the front door, turns to Kang, and said gently, “make yourself at home Kang. Felix made lobster bisque soup for us at the dining room with some biscuits, Vietnamese aromatic lamb chops with rice, and cheesecake. But, if you’re not hungry, you can go ahead and pick whatever room you like in the house. If you find any of the doors lock means that it’s taken. I’ll be up in the study room making healing remedies. Call me if you need anything or have any concerns about something.” Opening the folder once again to go back to reading the list. She walks around Kang and walks through the living room to a staircase nearby. Carefully walking up the stairs as she reads. She soon disappears out of sight. [[I'm sure you'll get more members. ((Well, it's been three years, so I don't think my guild's going anywhere))
Watching her busily saunter up the stairwell, Kang frowned as she vanished from sight. Swaying to his own rhythm, he mumbled, "What the ******** is a lobster?" in his low, dreary tone. Scowling about, he slowly made his way to the table and surveyed the containers of food. One-by-one, he grabbed hold of them and peered inside; wafting at each unique scent. Straightening his back once more, he blankly laid eyes upon the table. "Is all this necessary? Lamb? Cakes? Whatever...lobster is? All of these things...Unneeded luxuries." But as his eyes ogled the food, he soon began to realize that he has not eaten in some time. His stomach churned; calling out for sustenance. Cocking a brow, he reluctantly reached into one of the pots, only pulling out two biscuits.
Turning about with one of the pastries half-devoured, he made his way towards the window adjacent to the front door. Eyes as clouded as the driving snow, he swallowed heavily. "Remote and away from civilization. Escape from reality."
"Who is really running?"
His body locked as his heart suddenly seized. Eyes condensing, Kang whipped about fist firmly held extended in the air. as the biscuit crumbled and fell limp upon the wooden floor, he felt himself slowly return to realities icy grip. Holding his breath, his eyes scoured the room; desperately trying to locate an answer. Nothing.
Moments felt like eternity. Eternity felt like Hell. Frozen in time, he remained captured by its chilling clutches.
"What are you hiding from?"
Clawing from within, a burst of fire came forthwith. His eyes reddened as his body came back to life. Arcing his back as his body retracted, Kang released a breath of heated air. His lungs aflame as his flesh boiled. An inferno raged within--igniting his heart once more. "I hide from no-one." The fires swirled as his mind burned. His body ached with each agonizing step. "I need answers..." Swaying from side to side, Kang made his way eerily up the stairwell. As if instinct drove him, he walked to Alice's room. Filling the threshold, he stood there with a fiery glare. "We need to talk."

Right after Alice walk away from Kang to do her work. She hope that he would be all right on his own but having an uneasy feeling that something will happen. She stops at the last step of the staircase and look down. ‘Is he really going to okay on his own?’ she asks herself in concern and realizing what she just thought quickly shakes her head to wash away the worry. Facing the door with a serious look to grip onto the folder tightly, her heart for some reason began to pound. Remembering her past soon began to anger her little by little on the treatment she received as a child. Not wanting to make the same mistake as she did when she was young. She thought unhappily, ‘he can take care of himself.’ Grabbing the door handle and push it down to open. The door creak for a few seconds and to see the room completely black made Alice sigh in depression. “Is it that necessary to close the curtain?” she asks in gloomy tone before entering and as she place the folder on top of the desk where it rests in the middle of the room. She carefully made her way to the window behind the table. Gently placing one of her knees on top of the couch to bend forward to grab a heavy cloth, she swiftly pulls the fabric to her right to let some light shine in and as dust fly into the air. A soft smile forms on her lips on the warmth that she receives from the sun. ‘How soothing,’ she calmly thought before turning around to take a look at the room.
Scanning each shelf carefully in the small room. A sigh of relief was release to see everything in place. As she kneel off the couch, walk towards the silver metal desk, and flop the folder open. She read the first remedy on the list. “Sage leaves for Mr. Johnson,” she said out loud to herself as she grabs a black wooden stool underneath the desk. “If I remember correctly,” she said thoughtfully as her eyes wander to her left, “it should be there..” Walking up to the roll of shelves to place the stool in front it. She carefully hops onto the chair and grabs a large jar. Opening the lid to smell the powder with her eyes closed to be sure it is the correct remedy. Kang voice then startles her. As her eyes shot open when she heard his voice causes Alice to wobble a bit and drop the jar. Hearing the glass shatter onto the marble floor have Alice recover her balance and stare down at the mess and feeling her heart stop for a second soon have her cry out panicky, “The remedy for Jessica grandfather!” Staring at the broken glass and the dark green powder before facing Kang with small tears in her eyes. Anger fills up her mind but preventing herself throwing objects at him for startling her and creating a fight between them. She asks furiously, “what is it that you want to talk about!!?” [[would have joined if I play the game. You're guild is pretty awesome. D= I don't know why people are not joining. ((Thanks. I put a lot of time and effort into it. But, alas, it never caught on))
Watching her eyes glisten in the basking sun's light as she knelt upon the sullied floor a feeling of apathy continued to course throughout his mind. He cared not for her tears, nor for he dismay. All that ensued was the forever-tormenting innards of his turmoil mind. "You...Are you screwing with me?" His shoulders raised as his arms stiffened. "Do you think this is some sort of game? That I can be played with and tossed aside like some rag doll?" Heavily, his foot game forth upon the stone. Leaning, he began to step with the beating drum of his own dirge. "You purchase me. You treat me as an equal. And you completely act aloof? How? Are you trying to mess with my mind!?" With the drop of a hat, he knelt before the saddened maiden; fist slamming into the shattered jar. "I stay due to obligations. However, if you desire me to leave, just give the word. You obviously do not need me around for anything."
"But she is in control."
Snarling like a feral beast, he drove his knuckles deeper into the shards; smearing his blood in a small semi-circle. The pain seared throughout his arm, yet he could only focus upon her watering eyes. Watching them swelter, he felt the fires turn to smolder. His burning wrath quelled by her display of deter. But within that split-second of hesitation, a voice pierced his mind.
"She owns you! Controls you! You want that until you die!? You want that looming over you--never to see your homeland again!? You will never be free!"
Slamming both fists unto the cold ground, he let out a guttural growl as he clenched his teeth. Shredding like a grind wheel, small droplets of crimson ran down his mouth. With a mighty snarl, he lurched his back; hands grasping his head in order to silence the thoughts within. Slamming once more, he collapsed; heaving and growling about. As consciousness slowly slipped, he finally fell to tranquility.
"Feeble...So sickening."

Alice quickly jumps off the stool when saw Kang arms stiffen and taking a few steps back in defense as she quickly removes her ribbon from her hair. Her eyes began to glow lightly purple to get ready for any physical attack but as she watch him slam his fist into the shatter jar as the powder poof into the air a bit shock her greatly on his action. Listening to him carefully to feel rather confuse on the questions he ask her so far. It did not make any sense on why he was so upset about being treated equal but understanding why soon have her sigh quietly to herself in annoyance and close her eyes. Waiting for Kang to finish his tantrum as she cross her arms under her breast with a calm expression, her eyes slowly open to hear the man collapse on the floor. “You’re an idiot” was all she said to him a very calm tone as tie her ribbon around her neck gently to walk up to him and kneel down beside him. As her eyes continue to glow to feel threaten still. She examines the wounds Kang created on himself. No longer having tears in her eyes after the jar drop. Her eyes were full of irritation but as memories of her mother began to fill her mind. The stories, rumors, and secrets began to echo in her mind. Staying quiet for a moment to remember how she discover the information in her journey have Alice question her mother on how she deals these kinds of situations but quickly bringing herself back to reality to notice blood streaming down Kang mouth. She sighs and slowly crawls close to him.
As she dig underneath her dress ribbon that is tied around her waist to take out a small white cloth. She gently wipes away the red liquid off his chin before speaking sternly, “I’m going to treat your wounds first before I answers your questions Kang and I’ll warn you now that if you do anything threaten towards me or any of the remedies I made in this room. I’m going to make you regret that you ever come here, understand?” Glaring at the man with a frown to await for his answer to be finish cleaning away his blood. Her eyes began to travel towards the broken jar. Seeing Kang blood being mix with the powder have her groan miserably on the mess. “I have to find those leaves and turn it into powder all over again,” she said in frustration, “I’m making you sleep with the dog tonight in the basement.” Continuing to glare at the man furiously. Worry began to overcome her on the condition he is in. As her angry eyes quickly turn into concern, she hurriedly hovers over Kang body and gently resting her head on his back with her right ear. Focusing on his heartbeat and seeing that it was normal have her sigh in relief to know that he was okay at least. ‘His heartbeat is all right but what else do I have to treat to get him better again?’ she thought in distress as she slowly lifts her head off of his back to sit on the floor.
