I have been smoking for a good while. I have smoked with people from all walks of life, gender, race, and religion. And I must say that I have what I call my rules for smoking with me. That is to say, if you fit a certain profile I'm not going to smoke with you. And I call this profile the "Beavis and Butthead smoker":
The Beavis and Butthead smoker does not understand the idea of moderation. This is problem number. They tend to be hogs, and their idea is to smoke as much as possible as fast as possible and become so ******** up you cannot understand what is going on.
It's fine to get totally shitfaced, as long as you do it in moderation. Don't do it everynight. The stuff is costing somebody money and you should conserve it and be coherent.
The 'Beavis and Butthead smoker' has very little, to no, respect for others around him that may not be smoking.
If there is someone around that protests (ESPECIALLY if they own the place where you are smoking) then you should put it down and wait. What you are doing is illegal. Whether you think it should be or not it is, and therefore you should respect the lawful wishes of others.
The 'Beavis and Butthead smoker' has no meaning for the words safety and discretion
It is not intelligent to carry around more than two bowls worth in your pocket. Even that is pushing it. The smaller the amount the better. If its less than a gram there is the chance the police will simply have you destroy the evidence rather than arrest you. Carrying an eighth (or god forbid) an ounce, a bowl, or a bong (yes I've seen people who just carry a backpack with a bong in it) around is retarded. That's the only way to put it. You may as well put a sign on you that says "HELLO OFFICER I'M STONED SEARCH ME!" I know it may be harsh, but in my 4 years I've had several close calls, and I understand that no matter how much we wish it was legal, and the current time it is illegal, and cops dont care if the law is bullshit.
That's all I ask from smokers. Intelligence, respect, and discretion. If only more smokers out there would exercise these rules.

Hell, these are some great guidelines for anyone. The only time you should have more than what you are going to smoke on your person is when you are travelling back home to put it away after buying your weed.
Stickied, and I'll leave it up to you if you want to put something a bit more descriptive in the title.

Woot my first sticky!!!
I'll add more as I think of the old rules. I used to have more to describe these sort of smokers. I truly hate them.

I agree with your rules and I have a few to add of my own: Puff, puff pass; don't feel the need to be talking about something when you have the joint in your hands. Like getting all deep on a subject when you haven't even taken a hit yet. None of that. Do give as many beings a chance to get stoned too. They might like it and fully participate the next time.

I dont necessarily agree with the stoner's rules of smoking. The pass it to the left, puff puff pass, and s**t dont make sense to me. There shouldn't have to be rules on how its smoked. You keep passing and smoking it, it really doesn't matter which way you pass it, or who gets it first, and sharing is up to the person who's cannabis it is. Of course I smoke bowls so I dont have to worry about burning and good joints you dont have to worry either.

If I provide my own weed, isn't it fine or me to be greedy?

Amen to that brother. Although I've bought an oz. and a half of weed when I planned on going to someones house for a week. I had a duffel bag and the pot was wrapped up in tons of plastic and in a sock. Other than that I don't carry what I don't plan on smoking and even then my blunt is tucked safley tucked away.

I certainly agree with your rules, and I'd just like to add one thing: I only like to smoke with proactive people. There are people who perpetuate the negative stereotype of the couch-slouching stoner who does next to nothing, but not I!
