Appearance: Rain has straight, crimson red hair that is often unkept and messy. He has a basic caucasian skin color, lightly tanned, with a green left eye and an entirely white right eye (He wears a black eye-patch that conceals the white eye). He has an athletic build, and an excellent stamina that enables him to run, climb, and leap great distances without trouble. He often wears a simple black sleeveless cloth shirt with a green flak vest-jacket over it. His pants are simple loose black pants with several black pouches attached that he wears, which are cut off just between the ankle and his knee by his black dueling boots. He wears a thick utility belt that holsters his gun and holds on to most of his belongings. He wears a tan-cloth hood that is not attached to any article of clothing on his body, when he has the hood down, it doubles as a scarf. On days he is not outside for adventuring, he wears a simple white long sleeved shirt and white pants.
Personality: Responsible, adventurous, optimistic, though deeply conflicted inside. He is determined to get anything done, regardless of the circumstances and the consequences. He is stubborn, and once his mind is set, nothing can change it. He is however, known to complain when things do not follow the way he has planned, often repeating "This is such a drag..." when he is forced to adjust his plan of action. He is known to be humble at times, and usually light-hearted, making jokes as often as possible to stimulate happiness and interest within any awkward situation.
History: Born in Callasta and destined to be pure at heart, despite his rather dark element nature, Rain was born from Mara, the wife of the Lord of Balance. He never knew his parents all too well, and at age five, his father was killed, executed, for being purest and most balanced of the Elders. His mother, Mara, brought Rain into hiding, before she herself was killed by subordinates of Lord Lucius. Rain from there on was forced to fend for himself, living in the simple victorian style townhouse that was left to him in the metropolis that was Callasta.
During the course of his time, Rain began to develop his powers, and his right eye began to turn white. Not knowing much about his power or his origins, and oblivious to the fact that his father was an Elder, Rain continued to practice with his power, training himself in its many uses. He was able to warp, control, and twist shadows, using it to control others as well as controlling pure shadow itself. Rain was able to locate an antique clockwork gun that his father had hidden within his private room. He continued to make modifications to it as the years passed.
Through several events in his life, Rain remained a solitary person, going about on his own, and when he became of age, 13, worked on an steam powered airship as one of the crewmen. He was able to travel great distances, but never got the opportunity to actually stay and venture through their destinations. After a time, four years to be exact, Rain decided to quit, residing once more in Callasta, working in a local bookstore... To this day, he has yet to realize his true potential to prevent the lurking danger of the Elders, who plan to rid the world of entire races but themselves...
Weapons: -Soundsplitter .48 {His trusty Clockwork Pistol}
His pistol is usually his last resort when his sword and magic fails to protect him. He uses this commonly in quick ranged battles, and usually never resorts to using it... It projects a strong gold bullet. Rain has modified his gun to his own personal tastes, and his version of the original model is no longer available or able to be replicated.
-The Sanguine Rose {His short-sword blade}
The Sanguine Rose is a blade that Rain commonly uses to attack in melee battles. It has a red hilt-fabric, with what appears to be a gear-shaped hand-guard. The black blade itself is sharp and swift... Rain holds this blade in a backhand style, positioned so that the blade extends to reach the tip of his elbow, protecting his entire forearm. Rain will always resort to using it first-hand in battle.
Power of Weapon: -The Soundsplitter .48 contains bullets that move at an abnormal speed, and upon reaching the victim, releases a small poison that can drain only part of the victim's energy. Rain does not use it often due to his lack of supply of the bullets. They are rare for him to come upon the materials to replenish his supply of the bullets, and therefore does not use them.
-The Sanguine Rose is a blade that is somewhat enchanted in the sense that upon striking the opponent, it sends throughout their body a sharp, painful sting that numbs their senses. This can only happen, however, when the blade successfully pierces the skin.

His hair turns black, leaving only the tips a deep, blood red color. His scarf changes to a black belted mouth-cover, and his eye-patch becomes a brown-ish leather. With his secondary release, Rain can become the shadow entirely, enabling shadows to twist around his body or allowing him to submerge into shadows themselves.
