Hello, and welcome to my writing contest. I have started this independent of the other staff here, and all prizes come out of my gold, so yeah. ^.^
The theme is to write either a story or poem about anything you wish. The catch varies depending on what you're writing, because I like to be mean make things more difficult than just "writing" a story or poem. In the following sections, I'll also include the submission guidelines.
FOR STORIES: Your story must include song lyrics (one verse or more) from
any song by the artists Breakign Benjamin, We Are The Fallen, Evanescence, Lady GaGa, or Chris Daughty. The title must be the name of the song which has the lyrics included. Otherwise, it can be about anything.
YOUR STORY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF it is not at least five hundred words in length, the paragraphs do not have a double space between them, it violates the Gaia TOS or the Guild rules (duh), or has excessive grammar and spelling errors (of course). Do not submit anything longer than one thousand five hundred words in length, or I will only judge the first one thousand five hundred and will dock two points.
FOR POEMS: No minimum word count, but it must be at least three verses if it is freeverse or blankverse. For anything else, all rules must be applied. The catch here is that it has to be inspired (or, if not inspired, relevant to) this scene which I'm going to pull out of my a**:

Read between the lines, do whatever you want, it just has to be inspired by or relevant to that scene.
DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY IF it's under three verses, violates Gaia TOS or Guild rules.
