It was an average day - everything was blissfully normal, and for that, Vunjififaudi was grateful. His body ached with his walking, but his belly was full with a kill he had left for the vultures and other hungry beasts that may have happened upon it. For now though, he would rest.
The lion was far from tired, though. The urge to walk was strong making him restless, but he was well aware that his body needed a break sometimes aside from sleeping.
And he still couldn't figure out where he was going. Alas, he didn't even know where he was. That was a happy mystery to him, but it worried him in some way, worried he wasn't even headed in the right direction. How would he know the right direction if he didn't even know what he was searching for?

Today was just like every day for Aras. Another day to search for her missing past, and the home she never truly knew. Each step she took, she knew she trudging forward against her bodies will. Her body screamed for a break with each stride and hop she took. She tried to ignore the aching pain of her body for as long as she could. Since she had no time to stop for a break, she had to keep searching. Who knew what she could miss if she even stopped just for a moment. Then only a few moments later and Aras began to realize that her feet were beginning to grow heavier and heavier. Soon she could not even lift one of her paws, no matter how much she tried. It was as if they were full of lead, and were determined to stay glued to the rouge lands ground. "Guess I have no choice," Aras whispered under her breath as she breathed a heavy sigh. Her body had won this round that much she knew. She slowly began to look around the area where her feet had glued themselves. Where on earth was she going to rest exactly? From where she stood there didn't seem to be any place that looked very comfortable.

Mismatched ears flicked at the sound of paw steps and not the usual flat pat of hooves. The steps sounded heavy and almost dragging. Fau shifted nervously at the sound, though he figured there was no threat - the steps seemed tired... He gave a frown, pulling himself up from his sitting position and moving to go meet the tired footsteps.
"Hello?" He called softly, searching for the owner of the tired steps - steps which had stopped. He paused upon seeing a red figure, hesitant to call out again, but he would if he needed to.

Once more she tried to lift her paws from the ground. Though no matter how much strength she used they still will not budge. So instead of trying anymore aras just plopped down on the dirt below. Her strength at this point was almost depleted.
The moment she landed on the dirt with her body, Aras heard a voice call out. Had she really just heard a voice out here in the middle of nowhere. Just to make sure she wasn't going crazy she called back, "Hello...?" Though as soon as she did so, she lifted her head and looked forward. As soon as she did so, she noticed the owner of the voice. The owner was a lion of many markings and colors, and to her believe he was standing only a bit a ways from her.

Fau gave a small smile at the call back. He padded up to the lioness, giving a small shy nod in greeting. "Hello," he said again, though it was no longer a question. He shifted shyly on his feet before the lioness who had collapsed from what he figured was exhaustion.
"I'm sorry - I heard your footsteps and came to check it out." he murmured. "I can leave it you need rest though." He was hesitant, not wanting to disturb the female in case she didn't like company.

Aras listened to the male talk and as he spoke she noticed he seemed rather kind. That was when she realized, no matter how tired she was she definitely didn't want to be left alone. At least not now, when she barely had enough strength to stand.
"Hello there, and oh well thank you for stopping by," she said as kindly as she could it felt nice that someone cared enough to stop. "Though oh no I'd love some company, if you wouldn't mind staying...?" she asked him. This was definitely a first for her, since she normally didn't ever ask for company. Though now just seemed like a good time to maybe change things up a bit. "Plus I'm not going to be going anywhere for a bit, and if I can't search for my family. Why not have a nice chat?" she thought to herself awaiting an answer.

"Oh, I don't mind staying," he said kindly. He was normally terribly shy, preferring not to hang around others. He would stutter over his words sometimes and shift a lot as he was doing now. Right now, he was lonely - he didn't know where he was going or even where he had been at this point.
"If you don't mind me asking," he hesitated with a light stutter, "What are you doing out here." He glanced around to the area around them, looking at the lands. It was slightly fertile, though much of the game was small and it probably changed by the season.
It was a nice area to rest in though.

Aras couldn't help but smile as the male said he didn't mind staying. "Well thank you," she said in reply kindly and slightly shy. Normally she didn't talk much to anyone and just tried to mind her own business. Except for today when she felt a need for company. As great as it was exploring the lands for something, it sure did get lonely at times and she got tired rather quickly.
As she glanced towards him she noticed he was shifting a lot and stuttering. She couldn't help but giggle not to rude but because, she was happy that for once she wasn't the only one nervous about talking to another. "I don't mind at all, I'm actually out here searching for my family or really a place I belong," Aras said with a shy but passionate voice hoping he wouldn't think it was strange like some had before. "What are you doing out here though?" she questioned "...if you don't mind me asking of course..." she said slightly stuttering herself towards the end.

Fau gave a small noise in relief when she told him she wasn't upset with his curiosity. He gave a small uncertain smile. "Oh, your family?" He tilted his head to the side ever so slightly.
He couldn't even remember what it was like to have a family.
"Oh, I'm... not really sure. I'm trying to find a reason, I guess," he gave a small laugh, as if he was laughing at himself. It was silly, wasn't it? But honestly, he didn't know why he was out here but to find a purpose for his very existence.

"Yah I've never really had one, but I'm positive I did when I was younger! ... if only I could remember that far back," Aras said remembering how her memory was blank of her past. Though she didn't let that faze her mood and how could she once he tilted his head slightly. She giggled, so she wasn't the only one who did that after all.
As soon as she heard his reason she cracked a small smile. They were both out here for similar reasons. To find something to live for, as he slightly laughed she did too. Though it was the happy kind of laugh you get when you feel like your not the weird one for once. That you belong almost...she quickly shook her head out her thoughts remembering she still had to answer him. "Oh wow who would have guessed I'd run into someone who's searching for something too," she said before continuing shyly. "I think that's wonderful though! what kind of reason are you looking for though?" as soon as she asked that she tilted her head to the side like a curious cub. For once in her life she wasn't worried about anything so it seemed like an okay time to show her cub like side a little bit.

"You don't remember?" That was curious. But he supposed that, if she were young enough, that she wouldn't remember. Its not that far fetched - he didn't remember his family either... He gave a sheepish smile as if to apologize if he was rude.
He gave a small shy grin at her laughter. "What kind of reason - a reason to live, I guess. Sounds depressing, doesn't it?" He gave a small laugh.

Aras thought hard for a moment to see if she could remember anything at all. Though once again she remembered nothing. "Nope I can't remember anything, its kinda sad I know," she admitted when a nervous look on her face. She was probably one of the only people in the whole wide lands that couldn't remember their family.
Soon she was dragged out of her thoughts and back to him. This only happened because she noticed the small grin on his face. Aras quickly shook her head, "No it doesn't sound depressing at all. It sounds like an adventure," she said with a small laugh. While quietly in her mind she began to realize maybe in a way maybe that's what she was looking for too.
