I would choose the more difficult course of action to avoid it, in order to test myself. Should I fail, I am ready to accept the consequences.

I would fight till one of us fail. If that one happened to be me then the Goddess must of had a reason for my death.

That would depend on the circumstances in which we are facing death.
If our death comes in the form of a beast or being then one should stand their ground and fight for what they believe in until the bitter end.
If our death comes for us once our lives are fulfilled and our goals completed, then we should welcome death as a peaceful rest after a weary journey and pray that we have lived our lives well enough to be allowed to enter Elysium
