Five years it had been, and five years still hadn't been enough to completely rebuild the land that was once so lively and happy. Sophia wandered around aimlessly through the now partly destroyed area for some time, looking at her surroundings before noticing in the distance, a being sat by a fire. From this far away, Sophia couldn't tell who it was, so she moved in a little closer, quietly as so not to disturb the person she was technically creeping up on. When she was close enough, Sophia realized that it was Rygaru who was sat by the fire and he looked a little sad, and Sophia tried to guess why. The first assumption that came to mind was what all Hunters were currently affected by: the disappearance of Artemis. Surely there had to be more to it than just that though, but even though Sophia had been a Hunter for the best part of seven years, the other Hunters were still complete mysteries to Sophia and she barely knew any of them. She knew names, of course, and a little bit of their personalities, but that was just about it.

Sophia gave a little smile before nearing the fire and sitting next to Rygaru. She sat there quietly for a few moments before acknowledging the man's cooking by sniffing the air curiously. Not bad at all... Sophia thought to herself, and quickly decided that the quiet needed to be broken sooner or later. "How've you been keeping then? Not been too overly busy I hope?" It was the first thing Sophia could think of, and well, it was far better than saying nothing at all.

Sophia listened intently to what Rygaru had to say for himself as he served the food. "She'll be back. Artemis always comes back." Sophia stared with interest into the flames of the fire as she considered what she had said. Well, it was what she assumed any other Hunter would have said, and a very likely thing to say at that, but perhaps not said in the same way. Her head quickly turned away from the flames when a sudden question came to mind. "If you're certain She'll come back, why were you so sad back then? What's wrong?"

"That's another one of those things the priestesses drummed into your head, isn't it?" Sophia immediately faced Rygaru with a sort of look that only Sophia could have really given. It was intended to show kindness, but her eyes gave the look she was trying to give an apparent intention of the completely opposite kind; cold, hard calculation. "You're no slave, Rygaru, and it's not about what you are, but who you are, and who you choose to be. Admittedly that's as far as my wisdom goes, but you know what I think? I reckon you deserve to be here as much as the next person, maybe even more than the next person."

The minute Rygaru looked in her direction, Sophia went back to staring at the flames of the fire before them. "Then we must find a way to disallow that to happen." Sophia muttered under her breath, then suddenly wishing she hadn't opened her big mouth and then praying that nobody nearby had heard, or even Rygaru for that matter. She had just willingly and knowingly spoken out against Artemis Herself!

So he's no better than a doll, a damned puppet with invisible strings, unable to escape the control... Sophia thought to herself glumly as she continued gazing at the fire. It simply had to be pity that was on her mind; yet another one of the side effects of being around the Hunters for so long. Before ending up here, Sophia had cared little about other people, but now others' suffering vexed her for some reason unknown to her. Not wanting to dig up any further information, Sophia resorted to twiddling her thumbs, but her curiosity was something she was known best for so she gave up thumb twiddling in the finish. "... So there's no way to undo it?"

It can't just be lost, surely not. Lost or just hidden from plain sight? I sense another need for yet another adventure, but what if it is just lost? The chances of it being unfound are high, so it could just end up as another waste of time. No point getting anybody's hopes up right now then. Sophia continued to contemplate Rygaru's words, trying to be optimistic about things but optimism wasn't exactly her strong point, and so Sophia resorted to muttering random things that seemingly made hardly any sense at all; as if she was talking to herself. The muttering envolved quite a bit of huffing, noding of the head and shaking of the head.

"Death always finds its way to us one way or t'other, and it leads to people doing silly things..." She cut herself off immediately and realized that it was yet another thing she shouldn't have mentioned, and since at that point it didn't make any sense at all, she figured it was the best place to stop muttering and to not bother to explain what she was doing.
