Melanie had somehow lost her guardian Charna in the last few hours. It was a good thing for Charna since Melanie had a habit of pestering the daylights out of her. Melanie had already given up on the idea of tracking Charna down, deciding her guardian needed a break. So here she was, in the woods near a small meadow, with absolutely nothing to do. There weren't even any butterflies to chase. She sighed in disappointment and looked around. Still nothing. Just lots of trees and some flowers nearby. "So boring!" She cried out. She flapped her wings and glared at a tree. She sighed again and settled her wings against her back. She couldn't get angry at a tree cause there was nothing to do. It certainly didn't help that she didn't even feel like trying to fly. She had crash landed on Summanus the other day and had been thoroughly taught to never do it again. He had beaten the crap out of her and that didn't really sit well with her. But then again there was nothing she could do about it. If she tried to fight him, he'd only beat her up again. So she remained here sighing and trying to figure out what to do.

Sinister was especially bored today. He didn't know, nor did he care where his seven other siblings were. He often got annoyed and fed up with them, and just wanted to get away from them. He rarely was seen around any of the others. He usually ended up going out hunting or fishing, though he preferred hunting as it was easier for him to release his unused aggression. He had just finished catching and killing what must have been his fifth or sixth rabbit today. He was particularly irritated today for no apparent reason. He grabbed the rabbit in his mouth, walked over to the river bank and tore off a piece of the rabbit, and chewed on it still not particularly happy. Normally the taste of the fresh meat cheered him up a little bit, but not today. He tossed the rabbit aside, half eaten and growled to himself. He laid down and stared up at the sky. Why...he thought to himself.... Why? He was so antsy and in general pissed off for no reason. He was alone...again.

Melanie had started walking, heading deeper into the woods. She thought there was a river somewhere nearby. Perhaps she'll swim or maybe she'll be in the mood to practice flying when she got there.
It wasn't too long after she started walking that she heard a growl. She cocked her head listening. It had come from the left and she looked in that way. She didn't hear another growl but she did hear a river. She mentally shrugged to herself and began heading towards it.
She soon broke through the trees and spotted the river. She was staring at it hard for a minute before something else caught her eye. It was a grey wolf with black flames and a mohawk. She stared at him for a moment a little surprised to see someone else. Finally she smiled and bounced over to him. "Hello there! Wha'cha doing?"

Sinister turned his head around and looked as another wolf approached him. He didn't really want to admit him to himself, but there was absolutely no denying how stunning the female was in front of him. Still, she looked like a priss, with her big black and starry wings, her creamy, soft fur....his mind wandered off and he caught himself staring. He snapped himself out of it, and got up. She looked like the type to think she was better than others because of her wings. A girl that stunning and that bubbly couldn't possibly be good news for him.
"Hmmph! I hardly think that is any of your concern there, princess", he replied with heavy sarcasm. He turned his back on her, and started walking away, not really wanting to deal with someone as happy sounding as she was right now. He was perfectly content to be...well, miserable right now.

Melanie's smile instantly vanished and a dark look crossed her face. Princess?! Seriously?! He couldn't come up with something better than princess? Oh he was quickly going to learn that was a mistake. She quickly ran passed him and blocked his path. "Oh you so didn't just call me that, punk. I don't know what crawled up your butt and died but I don't let anyone talk to me that way. Either apologize or this is going to get physical." She snapped tucking her wings in. He so flipped her switch to angry bad mode. She didn't even think that her wings had something to do how he responded or how he would take her comment. All she was thinking about was what Charna taught her to do in a fight: go for the weak spot and possibly the kill.

Hmmm...feisty, he thought to himself holding back a smirk. He hadn't expected her reaction even slightly, and this made him see her a bit differently. He hadn't meant any harm with his comment. She didn't deserve him acting like a jerk just because he was having a bad day. Ashamed, he looked down at the ground. Being stubborn as he was, he didn't want to admit being in the wrong, or apologize, but something in him was telling him he should. "Sorry," he half-mumbled. He brought himself to look up at her in the eye, so she would know he was sincere. "I...I'm afraid I've judged you too soon, miss. I should know better, having it done to me all the time. I'm sorry, I should not have taken my misfortune and bad mood out on you." Not really knowing what to do, and with his face starting to feel quite warm, he turned around and slowly and awkwardly started walking away. (( Updated growing))

Melanie stayed crouched down as he apologized. It took a moment for what he said to sink in and when it did he was already starting to walk away. She slowly stood up straight looking at him confused. The apology was the last thing she had expected someone like him to do and it left her a little dazed. She shook her head and quickly darted after him. Looked like she had judged him a little too soon as well.
"Apology accepted. I must apologize too since it seems I had judged you too soon as well. I was sure you wouldn't apologize just because of how you looked." She said as she reached his side, "I'm sorry for judging you on your looks alone. If you don't mind... maybe you would feel better if you talked about what is making you in such a bad mood? I am a good listener."

Sinister looked at her a little stunned. Usually his looks and his almost constant bad moods were enough to scare off any potential friends. He was always alone, and didn't fit in with any of his siblings either, except a younger sister, who he was very protective over, but didn't exactly hang out with.
"I'd rather not talk about it. Besides, I barely know you, miss."
Sinister paused a moment looking down. "Thank you for the offer though." He didn't want her to mis-judge him again and think him rude, because despite his looks, he was far from most days.
He had a bit of a sinking empty feeling in his stomach, and was slightly angry with himself. She was beautiful, and being so nice to him already...why did he have to snap on her like that?
"I really am sorry for snapping like that. I am not used to being around anyone other than my siblings, who always just make my moods worse."
He was slightly nervous around her, although not sure why.
He spoke to her, almost shyly, which definitely was not like him. "May I have your name so that I may call you by it? The name I was given is Sinister Gaze, however most call me Sin."

Melanie missed the stunned look since she was looking forward and not at him. "That's alright. It is true that you don't know me." She said with a pause, "It's fine. Not like I'm not used to someone snapping at me." She didn't ask him why he stayed with his siblings if they make his mood worse since she thought that might be a tad rude.
She looked at him when he said his name. "Well that is a most interesting name you have Sinister Gaze." Apparently his parents named him for his looks and not personality, although it's not like she knew him very well and could say his personality was opposite of his name. "I'm called Melanie. And it's nice to meet you. Even if we got off on the wrong paw."
