I walk along the streets of town,
hoping a miracle will come and save me.
For a long time I've been so down,
not willing to look up and attempt to see.
The music blasts in my ears, hurting them.
But it's dull compared to other pains I've had.
The rain soaks through my denim.
But it's dry compared to the tears I've shed.
As I think of all my memories with you,
I start to cry, wanting all of it back.
I've made stupid mistakes and hurt you.
The forgiveness you had for me has started to lack.
I'm lost and alone on theses streets, begging for death.
You'll never be able to understand how much I hurt for you.
All I can say now is "at least I'm not doing meth."
Like a bird going sout for the winter, you flew.
The dull pain on my wrists and the blood oozing down
reminds me of my life, fading and falling.
I always sacrificed myself so you wouldn't frown,
but never again will I get to hear you calling.
I'm sorry I could never make you happy enough.
I did the best I could to help you.
You left me lost, alone, and in love.
Standing in the rain with nothing more to do.
