No. I was never forced to smoke anything against my wishes. In fact, there were many times when I was offered some and passed it up, and my friends respected that. I don't actually know anyone who was told "smoke this or you won't be cool" or anything. Really, peer pressure has become something of a joke to anyone who actually smokes weed. Or so I've seen, anyways.

I started smoking weed in france to fit in with the others. There is definently a peer pressure angle to some people. Peer pressure doesn't mean you were FORCED to smoke weed, it means you were pressured to smoke weed.
I have no idea why you told us the story about your hair though. But I can honestly say I would never shave my head just so I could smoke weed. It's a recreational activity.

Hell, where I live, no one is going to pressure you to smoke it. Honestly, we're all to greedy to waste our weed on someone who doesn't really want to smoke it in the first place. Also, most of us consider it rude to smoke weed around non-smokers without their explicit permission. It's just not something you do.

That's why we're an 'Intelligent Society'. What'd you expect. There needs to be a place were people are responsible with what they do. I'm not suprised at all that a smoker could be a validictorian, it's perfectly logical. It doesn't effect intelligence. Memory yes, intelligence no.
I'm takin' biopsychology this month and we are studying marijuana pretty extensively. I cannot wait to learn exactly everything we know aout marijuana and our neat little heads. *Dances the happy knowledge dance*

I'm just taking first year psych this semester, so I'll probably get one class' worth of information on the subject of drugs in general. In the next couple of years I plan on taking as many biology and chem classes as possible (I need something like 60 credits from sciences to get my degree), so I'm hoping that I'll eventually get into a class which goes in-depth into the effects of different drugs on the body. ...Yeah, quite frankly, I've found ED to be more informative than my psych class sweatdrop

I have to tell someone cause I love the subject. If they have an Intro to Biopsychology then take that. You'll study the effects of it on your brain and mind, which to me is a LOT more interesting than its effect on your body. I guess cause when I'm high its more of a mental experience.

I tried it willingly a few times about 2-3 years ago, didn't feel anything from it and pretty much gave up on it. About a year and a half ago I inhaled marijuana smoke for the first time ever and felt it and I loved it, everything is so much funner when your high, food tastes better, you remember forgotten things, music sounds better. I just instantly knew that I loved to get high and a year and a half later not much has changed. As for the intelligent comment we are indeed lucky to have such intelligent minds here in this guild, I'm not much of an intellectual but I am willing to impart one and a half years of pothead wisdom on anyone willing to listen.

Pothead wisdom? That's an oxymoron.

Let's see, I had been curious about it before hand, especially while I had a crush on a major pothead... and i'm not mentioning who, because he also did other things and I'm not interested in those things...
anyways, after that, I got back together with Drickt, and my first time I was actually hotboxed, and I enjoyed it so much I had to try again, although I vary between being timid about it and acting like a total pothead... *sigh*
Either way, I'm a responsible smoker and I know when to pass, and I will pass, especially if I know I'm too far gone...

My first time.. I was 12 or 13. I was very curious and all the people I hung out with were 14/15 and had smoked lots before. So one day I asked if I could try some and they said "yeah sure." But I definately did it to look cool.
When I told my parents that I smoked they pretty much forced me to smoke with them. And I did. It was a good smoke too, they even bought quality organic BC weed and taught me the ways of the good stoner.

Peerpressure is for gullible little twits who can't think for them selves they are just a simple white sheep in a flock known as mainstream society...
You are never forced to do a damn thing in this world, My mother smokes so do I and so does my father I have seen what the good and the bad effects of pot its all in the mindset of the individual if you have an addictive prone personallity then you are doomed to falier...but my father tought me that you never loose grip of reality and you will enjoy life moreso and all pot does is make you sleep and eat... So I made my personal choice to try it

Peer presure... nah, it was my choice. I don't know that many people who smoke pot, maybe a handful at most. One day I wanted to try some and my mate happened to have some on him... the rest is history. biggrin These days, when I have some, I spend some lovely nights sitting in my living room on my lonesome, floating up to the ceiling. 4laugh
