Witches (魔法使い)
A witch is a powerful being and a natural enemy of the DWMA. Almost all witches have a destructive nature and are, in some way, based on a type of animal. Witches also have a distinctive purple soul. Most witches have the ability to fly and have very long lives (far over 800 years). Some witches are even capable of being meisters (e.g. Kim Diehl). One witch's soul is needed to complete a death scythe and, as a result, witches are hunted by meisters, however, there are a couple of cases of witches who the DWMA would not hunt (e.g. Angela and Kim). Lastly, it's been shown that witches have a unique Spiritual Flexibility, as they can break their soul into small fragments and reform them later (as shown by Medusa and Arachne), but results in a weakness of magic that takes time to regain.
