Evangeline walked up to one of the generic oak doors that lined the hallway. She looked anxiously at the number. "This is the one, number 47," she said with a sigh. She inserted the key into the lock and turned it. The door was so loosely mounted that it seemed to open itself. She looked around with a vaguely dissatisfied look on her face. The room was a drab off-white with grey-brown carpet. There was an adjoining kitchen, living room, and bathroom complete with a shower/tub combo. "This is far from what I'm used to," she said with a hint of sadness as she hung her blackout curtains ever so precisely. The room went from dimly lit to pitch blackness inside of a second. The only light came from the slot below the door. It reminded her of home. Then with the listlessness that had plagued her day thus far, she lazily plugged in a dim lamp and turned the switch, The room was suddenly bathed in a soft white glow, although to her overly sensitive eyes, it was like a small sun had emerged from the darkness with a disappointing click. "Bloody f***in' hell, that's bright!" she yelled unconsciously as she instinctively threw her hand up to cover her eyes. When they adjusted to the relatively bright light, she looked around once more. She had been too tired before the sudden shock of temporary blindness to notice the rather lavish furnishings that decorated her rather large dorm. "Well then. I guess they know how to treat a girl here don't they," she said with a hint of venom on her tongue. Eva's face wore the characteristic sadistic half smile that came forth when she felt somewhat pleased by something. It wasn't her fault. She had what her friend had so eloquently labeled the b***h face. But it worked with her tall thin frame. She was about 5" 10 and weighed a little under 110 pounds. She had a fragile, almost sickly, look about her. The only thing that kept her appearance from being overwhelming was the regal air that surrounded her. In fact, she almost glowed with pride. Her natural stance was back straight and shoulders back, as if to show herself off. She walked with the balance of a cat. Her hips swung to and fro at every step. She obviously thought that she could have anyone she wanted, whenever she wanted, however she wanted. She sauntered over to the couch that was pushed against the far wall. Her red eyes were a dead giveaway that she wasn't human. But they soon faded behind her heavy eyelids, as she fell asleep on the couch to the soothing white noise of television static.
