She was fine with living that way, until her mother was taken away when she was eight. After that, she never saw her mother again. Her father told her that she had been taken to a castle far away so she could help serve those in need. Nelly never asked why she wasn't picked too, for it didn't matter all that much to the young girl. Nelly lived with her father and older brother, Stefan, until she turned thirteen. A man came and scooped her up from the streets one day, taking her away to a large castle. The young maiden was thrilled! She wasn't so thrilled, though, after her first day in the castle. No one said a word to her except her teacher, a weird old lady named Mrs. Whipps. Her days in the castle went on like that for four and a half years. Little Nelly had grown to be much more mature and polite, rather than the silly little girl she had been once she first arrived. She was sent to another home, one she loves much more dearly than her last, where she lives to this very moment- working proudly as a maid under her masters' commands. Personality : Nelly is a very strong girl powered by her will and hope. She is silly but respectful and polite to those of higher rankings. She obeys ordersvery well and gladly does what is asked of her. She is rarely sad or upset and loves to brighten peoples' days. She's stubborn at times, though, and is defensive also, but she takes punishment as she is given it and hates to anger her masters. Nelly is a mousey girl and isn't one big on chit-chatter, she'd rather be off working, but will speak if she is spoken to. She is small but her heart is big- along with her mouth. She will mouth off if she is angered but will expect punishment afterwards. All in all, Nelly is a pretty decent young woman. He is engaged to a woman two years younger than him, Lorraine Clement. She is his friend since childhood, engaged to him since he's 16. Personality : Very, very strict. He's stern, and tends to scare away the servants, especially when they're late. Time is something really important to him. Nice, most of the time. Sophisticated. Promise is also something important to him, and he never breaks one or make a promise he cannot fulfill. He's also active for a noble. LoVelYMarRionEtTe Name : Ella Marie Deveneaux Age : Fifteen Gender : Female Bio : Ella was born originally in France. She grew up there with at least a middle class life and it was simply perfect to her. She never thought of herself as poor but she knew she was no higher than them. Yet this life wasn't enough for her parents. They moved out to London when she was only eleven years old, hoping that maybe there would be a way for them to become rich and live the luxurious life they believed they deserved. Ella never really cared about the fancy jewels or the extravegant meals they could have. Her life was fine the way it was in France. And she truly was right. Their life in London only became worse over the years as her mother died of an illness and her father couldn't find a job. They lived on the streets with barely enough money to survive. But they did their best. On one lovely day, she was wandering the streets, looking for a kind soul who would give her something to eat. That's when she was taken in and worked for the Timeshards family. Not a day goes by where she doesn't worry about her father, but at least things are looking up for her. Personality : Ella is a gentle and kind person. She cannot hate a single soul no matter how much damage they have caused to her. She believes in forgiveness and cares for everyone. She's extremely helpful and grateful to the Timeshards family so she'll do any job they ask of her. She knows the life of poverty and that taught her how to be thankful for what she had and to show kindness to others when no one ever showed kindness to her. Though she does have a temper and can be quite stubborn. She knows her place and would never say anything she didn't mean or say anything to be rude or disrespectful. He was raised penniless and taught that no one cares for he and his family. The young prince doesn't remember much of his past but really sort of chooses not to. He was brought up in a very small abode with six siblings, his grandmother and his parents. When he was out at school with his little sister Chastity, the two returned home at the end of the day to find their house in flames. Both young children ran in, trying to save their family, but only young Ciel returned out. The police arrived too late to do anything and all of the boy's family perished, his sister included. He was taken to an orphanage where he closed himself off from the rest of the world- that is, until the queen came in, distraught, looking for a child to take in. She had lost her baby and opted to adopt a child. That child just so happened to be the ten-year-old Ciel. She fell in love with his manners almost immediately. She took him in and raised him to be the young man he is now. Not but a few months later, though, they found the queen's baby and he was the exact same age as Ciel. The two get along greatly, now. The two boys quarrel about who will get the country, though... Personality : Ciel comes off as a hard-natured, cold young boy but he really isn't. Due to his past, he has taught himself to not show his true emotions, choosing to hide them behind a dark curtain of harshness. He's got a sharp tongue that is trained thoroughly to snap at anyone, besides his 'parents', that gets on his nerves. He's stubborn, childish and just downright mean sometimes; but he means well. He chooses to not convene with any of his servants unless absolutely nessecary. He doesn't like to make conversation unless with his parents or anyone else above the ranking of a Lord or Lady. He finds time to be a precious thing and hates wasting it. All in all, he's just a boy trying to get by. I anticipated some questions about a Noble's job, but I'll answer you here, since it's not that much.
A Noble's job, if they don't have a factory to look after is just to hunt, attend parties, accepting visitors and generally being pompous xD;
And no, the picture doesn't have to be anime :')
