Do I cross into the wide-open blue where even as fish swim through
Spacious water waves shift the balance of the universe as it used to
Be, or do I tread the barrier between that and the clustered, solid land?
In the ocean, all possibilities are explored in the absence
Of everything else, and only then can it be understood how
The existence of said possibilities are profound,
Majestic, and cleansing in their individual wonder, anguish, or bliss.
However, past the shore the other way
Lies familiarity and no games of chance;
I know that there I won't loose all that I've got.
Thinking that I must grow up someday,
I leave behind the land with ease and dance-
Knowing you dared me to, yet you believed I could not.
PoliticsJust a face and a name
With hidden priorities
And hidden shame.
They're all the same;
Corrupted (by) authorities.
