I get my cell phone upgrade in February. Since the summer I have had my heart set on the Samsung Captivate. (Yes, I am AT&T) Well at the store/online with my upgrade it will cost me $200. I discovered that at Walmart I can get my upgrade and it will only cost me $100 for the phone. Last night, I was doing a little fishing and I discovered that if I go through Newegg.com then the phone with my upgrade and everything will only cost me $40.
My boyfriend has a Blackberry Bold 9700 and has been on my a** about getting one. He doesn't think that the Captivate is a very good phone and he wants me to have a Blackberry like his. He says that in the long run it will be better for me. I tell him all the time that a Blackberry is way to expensive and that I would never be able to afford one. Then I discovered on Newegg that I can get one with my upgrade for only $10.
So, I am a little strung because I love the phone he has. It has a lot of customizable features that would make it truly mine. I just think its a little thick compared to the Captivate and with an Otterbox defender case on it, it would be huge in my pocket. >.> I'm also not sure if I'm going to really enjoy it.
I wanted the Captivate because of the fact that it was touch screen and that it was very similar to Verizon's droid except that it didn't have the ugly keyboard. I knew that if I got it I would have a lot of fun with it. I plan on getting an Otterbox defender for it as well because it is quite slim.
So my question to you is, which do you think is better; The Blackberry or the Captivate?
