The Leaky Cauldron is a pub and inn for wizards, located on the Muggle street of Charing Cross Road in London, offering food, drinks and rooms to rent. It was founded by Daisy Dodderidge (1467–1555) in 1500 "to serve as a gateway between the non-wizarding world and Diagon Alley." The current barman and innkeeper is a witch named Hannah Longbottom (Married to Herbology Professor, Neville Longbottom)
On the main floor, the inn has a bar, several private parlour rooms, and a large dining room for guests to dine. On the upper floors, there are a number of rooms available; People often stay at The Leaky Cauldron when they come up to London on shopping trips, since there is no mention of other wizarding hotels or inns in Diagon Alley.
The pub serves as a way of entering onto Diagon Alley from the Muggle world for Muggle-borns and their parents (both of whom, until the first letter from Hogwarts, have no magical knowledge or means of entering). The rear of The Leaky Cauldron opens onto a chilly little courtyard where a brick (found by counting three up and two across) is tapped three times.

He looked up, to see it packed, as always, not knowing how to react. should he cough, or should he wince.
He let out a small cough, and walked to the back of the pub, through about seven tables, and ignoring all the snide comments he had gotten due to his apparel. He pushed open the small wooden doors, towards the brick wall leading to Diagon Alley, his mind only on one thought. Vera Flur, possibly the most beautiful Slytherin, wait, the most beautiful girl, in the world.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  J E S S I C A M A R I E H O W A R D "John, stop it!" she said to the boy that was harassing another girl before stepping into the pub. Jess walked to the back of the pub with her friend, and entered Diagon Alley through the brick wall. "So, where to first?" she asked the Fifth Year. Jess didn't need new robes, or anything like that, she mostly just needed more potions ingredients and parchment. Other than that she was pretty much set. The family always had extras if she needed it, or one of the housekeepers could always go buy her more in the middle of the year and send it to her. Either way, she didn't really need to go anywhere in particular. She'd let the younger girl say where she needed to go, and If Jess needed something from the store that they were going to, then she'd buy it when they arrived.

ｎｏｔ ａｓ ｉｎｎｏｃｅｎｔ ａｓ ｙｏｕ`ｄ ｔｈｉｎｋ. . . ❝Vera means trust.But should you trust me?❞"I wonder if I'll get what I want for Christmas" Vera expected for Jess to roll her eyes and she let out a giggle.It was obvious what she wanted.It was the Malfoy in the corner.Then it was her turn to roll her eyes.Butterbeer?When was that ever nice when a kid was around.Vera ordered herself some water and the waiter came back and got the water she drank in sips and listened to the older girl's voice."Robes,Potions,Library,and well Vanilla Ice Cream at my house."She said,Vera wasn't whispering.And out of the corner of her eye,she took a glance at Scorpious and started to glance back at Sienna.Where had Vera's water gone?She looked down at her lap and couldn't help but smile at the child."I'm way too young to be a God-Mother."As Sienna fell asleep she put her back in the stroller and nodded meaning she wanted to go.She stood up and swore that she could feel the smallest blush creep on her face as she waited for Jess at the outing of the bar.She put her left arm on her hip when Jess didn't leave with her.God,she really needed to teach the older girl to stop being to attached to her butterbeer. {OutOfCows- POSTED}

Sophie Luna Rose Moon  Hufflepuff Beater Half-Blood Sophie smiled and walked into the Leaky Coldren, she went over to the bar and got herself a butterbeer and paid for it. The walked back into Diagon Ally.
