Heterochromia is present in ALL Mages. It is the different coloration of both left and right eyes (for example: Left eye, blue and Right eye, brown). It has been realized that the decision of the color of the Mage's two eyes are determined by A: Their natural born eye color, and B: Their magical aura color. It is rare for any mere human to be born with this, unless they possess come kind of magical ability. The only magical beings that do not possess such eyes are Nightstalkers.
The strongest of those with heterochromia have one white eye and one black eye. Those are the Four Children of Balance, and are considered some of the most powerful magical beings that are born from the Lord of Balance. With those eyes, the Four Children of Balance can both heal and conjure, however the animals a Child of Balance summons is any animal that best suits their personality, rather than demons.
The Four Children of Chaos, whom are equal in power to that of the Children of Balance, have equivalent powers, however they do not heal, they specialize in Destruction, and their conjuration techniques summon Demons. The color of their eyes usually revolves around the left eye being solid black and the right eye a bright red.
