Bixbyite was restless. More than restless, actually. She was in a deep blue funk and wallowing. She had far too many unanswered questions about her own purpose in life that were not likely going to be answered anytime soon. And, as introspection had never been a favored pastime, she'd decided to go prowling and admire the snow and Christmas lights. And perhaps steal a little energy while she was at it.
Running a hand through her short and newly dyed hair, Bixbyite found herself somewhat relieved that she didn't have to go out and steal starseeds anymore. Somehow, stealing energy didn't seem so terrible by comparison. the young lieutenant's awakened conscience wasn't so prickly about energy theft. Still.
Passing by one particularly lovely light display, Bixbyite paused and found herself smiling. Her family had always tried to decorate the house for Christmas. And always given up upon finding their strands of lights in a frightful snarl. At the thought of her parents and sister, Bixbyite felt thin, icy cold tears streaking down her cheeks. She missed them. And she couldn't go back. Not yet. Maybe not ever.
Really, it was enough to make her want to break every light in that display.
