The year is 32,276 in the age of turmoil, two-thousand years after the human race made first contact with extraterrestrial life. The galaxy of Sollus Prime, formerly known as the milky way, is in the middle of a great political upheaval, following the downfall of the largest known intergalactic empire in existence; The Kor'valkian empire. The power vacuum that ensued from their sudden extinction has been met with heated discussions in the high counsel which broke out into war. There are several factions in this war, most of them were outside Sollus Prime, contesting over ex-Kor'valkian territories of little, if any, consequence to humanity. There are, however, three large factions contesting for territory inside the boundaries of Sollus Prime. The United Free Worlds, The Central Galactic Imperium, and The Neo-Provaliun Confederacy. These three factions wage war over the territories of the galaxy left contested in the aftermath of the Kor'valkian downfall, but the real story here is the new wave of entertainment that's taken the universe by wildfire: Death Sports. A sort of corporate take on war, a certain company, by the name of Firestar incorporated, has started hosting events in various places across the universe. Specifically, they host a home brew kind of sporting events that has become widely advertised as "Worlds of Death: a new kind of sport." Firestar had been marketing this franchise as a holovision series for public consumers prior to the war, but their ratings and their number of episodes skyrocketed shortly after the war broke out. Firestar both utilises a legalized version of slavers, and buys its combatants from the factions partaking in the war, providing the various governments of the galaxy with a place to be rid of their civilian convicts and their prisoners of war (and fund their war efforts in the process). To celebrate the new year, a whole new event has been planned; the biggest and bloodiest "Worlds of Death" event ever conceived. On the red-rocked, mountain-world of Damascus, over one billion contestants, divided into six teams, will compete in an all out, fully equipped, battle royale for the public's viewing pleasure. The planet has been surrounded by a full war-fleet of Firestar prison-cruisers (some of the largest and most heavily armed starships in the universe) ready to drop their living cargo onto the planet's surface and watch as they blast, rip, shred, tear, cut, smash, and blow each other apart in glorious sessions of brutal carnage. The new season awaits, freedom will be awarded to those who survive, profit to those who exceed, and death to all others. How will you make it? Why are you here? All else aside, the real question is; how long will you last?

Rules:
As a contestant in Firestar's "Worlds of Death: Damascus" event, you are subject a number of rules of conduct.
1. You are not to open fire on your teammates. Doing so will result in a warning icon that will flash on your bionic HUD, and if aggression towards teammates persists for 2 seconds; you will recieve an immediate team-swap to the gray team.
2. You are not to open fire on any property, nor representative of Firestar incorporated. Doing so will result in immediate individual termination.
3. You are not to interfere with Firestar Inc. operations on-world, or off-world outside of Worlds of Death(tm) game rules. Doing so will result in an immediate team-swap to the gray team.
Follow these three simple rules, and your chances of survival will dramatically increase. Good luck, and remember that we here at Firestar are always watching. (All players must be either humans, or human-like in the sense of physical capabilities. Whether you were born on earth or not doesn't matter, but your physical capacity must not exceed those of a human being. (Throw some grey matter around to allow for poison immunity and the like.))

Game Overview
Worlds of Death is a death sport owned, and hosted by Firestar incorporated. In order to provide all combatants with the aspiration to excel at Worlds of Death, Firestar incorporated has constructed a general overview of all in-game rules and systems.
Points If carnage is the bread of 'Worlds of Death', then points certainly are the butter. Points are the basis of the 'Worlds of Death' ranking system. You can earn points by performing significant acts in the game; such as making a kill, capturing a location or hostile property, sabotaging enemy property, rescuing a team mate, claiming resources, and much more. The more points you have, the better.
Team-Points Combatants, in addition to earning individual Points, earn points as a team. These Team-Points are an actual currency that the team uses to requisition additional weaponry, ammunition, and other resources. Teams start with an amount of Team-Points equal to the amount of combatants they have fighting for them. Teams may earn points by completing missions and by making kills after the establishment of a base camp.
Events Objectives: Objectives are things of significant value to all teams that are dropped into strategically compressed points, such as a maze or pyramid. Objectives are displayed to all teams upon placement completion. (Teams may purchase a heads up signal.) Teams must secure the objective by guiding it back to their base.
Teams Prior to the game start, combatants are divided into one of five teams, and two special teams, which are classified by color. The teams that combatants are divided into are: the Red team, the Blue team, the Yellow team, the Green team, and the Purple team. The other two teams are special teams that have individual team rules that apply to them and them alone. Teams start with as many points as they have members and they earn specialized 'Team-Points' for every hostile kill after the establishment of a base camp.
Special Teams The Gray Team: This team consists of every combatant that has been sentenced to death by Firestar incorporated, and or their benefactors. They are worth double points and cannot requisition supplies, nor earn points.
The Black Team: This team is a very small core of well equipped, well supplied, elite combatants. They consist of the grand champion and his chosen personal escort. They usually are exempt from a game unless they are specifically challenged. But, on Damascus, they are free to roam and kill any gray team members they come across. They are allowed to defend themselves, but they are not permitted to engage in aggressive activity with any teams other than the gray team.
Sponsors Perhaps the single most important feature in Worlds of Death, sponsors often decide the fate of combatants in the long run of a game. Simply having a sponsor gives an increase to a combatant's total points. Combatants receive sponsors by catching the eye of a sponsor through some display of personal ability. Combatants may be sponsored individually, or as a team. Sponsors supply combatants with equipment, and or secure locations. Both of which are incredibly crucial to a combatant's survival. After all; no matter how many trees the blue guy has to hide behind, the red guy still has a flamethrower.
Base Camps Base camps are by far the safest places in the game. They are established by first finding and activating a secure location's beacon. This claims the area for that said team, and emits an announcement, and coordinates, to all team members in the vicinity of a hundred miles. After the team has held the beacon for an hour after activation, the location fully activates and converts into a base of operations complete with fully operational resource conversion bays and an armory with a moderate ammunition supply. At this point, team members can requisition supply drops to their vicinity.
Requisitioning Equipment Any individual on any team can access the "Firestar inc. sales" site to requisition food, basic medical assistance, and Warbikes to their pesonal location at any time. As long as you have the points, Firestar is more than happy to accomodate you. As soon as a team has captured a base; they can call in drops of ammunition, weapons, medical supplies, food, building materials, narcotics, armor, and or vehicles to their base camp.
