Invited participants: Any Rogue Vizards in Redin's group may enter, friends of the Rogues may be let in.

<| High walls of stone surround an open field of sand and random mounds of crag and boulders are scattered about, but up front and most important were descending stairs that lead to an open valley. |>

~:~ Redin walked down the steps, waiting on the bottom of the flight for Ms Spike to come down for a good bit o' exorcise. "Come on, lets do this already so I can get back to bed." He shouted up to the room above, waiting impatiently and playing his fingers along the flat of his blade.

Spike took her time walking down. She didnt like orders. "Do I look like I care about your sleep? You're the one who wanted a spar anyway." She skipped the bottom dosen or so stairs, and landed lightly. She stood with her hands in her pockets, which was, believe it or not, one of her more common stances.

~:~ Settled in well enough where he was, "I suppose your right," Standing up, Redin shouldered his blade and paced about her till he was behind her last location and a few yards back. "Ready when you are."

Matt yawns atop his rock overlooking the fight. He calls down to Redin before the fight actually begins "Hey! when do we get to start our training? are is fighting eachother our training?" Matt hoped that traingin would be more than sparred combat maybe atleast to go kill a few Hollow or something fun.

~:~ "We'll train more after you learn patience and Spike's temper is cooled." Redin yelled back up the stairs, for that brief moment he actually let slip what was on his mind, 'tact' he thought to himself, 'Must keep my tact' he scuffed his toe into the dirt and loosened up his shoulders as he readied himself.

Spike whirled around. "Who are you saying has a temper? Bring it on, I was ready the day you were born." She pulled both fist out of her pockets, drew both swords, and spun them in complicated manuveurs around her fingertips. She growled, and called to Redin. "Try to keep up, tubbs. We both know who's the fastest Vizard here." Before she had finished speaking, she had disappeared from sight. Getting warmed up, she kicked up dust as she ran circles around Redin, slashing from different intervals.

~:~ Redin knew that his speed was far below hers, but that meant nothing. Letting his armaments and blade take the blows, he let her dance about. Not taking a single step in any direction, his blade danced and ran between the two of them. The dust she kicked up was a tad annoying, "Gale Strike" He initiated, and with every sweep of the blade, a swipe of wind flings outwards in no particular direction and simply causes the dust about him to blow away. Each swipe was light, not meant to hurt, but if she was struck it would knock the wind out of her.

She calculated carefully. Even his speed was far inferior, her strength level was low. If he landed even a couple of blows, she was pretty much out. That's how it always was. Everyone was slow as molasses, everyone was stronger. She adjusted. Her blows now were fewer in number and heavier in terms of seiousness. She hit the weakest parts of the armor, and didnt stay in place long enough to let him hit her with any attack. To confuse him more, she kicked up huge amounts of dust continually, creating a sort of electrical cloud as she ran as well. She tried speaking, her voice distorted and hard to keep up with. "What's....wrong...Mr....Snail?....Can't....keep...up?....I...am....the...lightning.....bolt....after...all...right?"

~:~ Redin spoke in an abstract manor response, "To chase the lightning all one must do is stand taller than the trees.". And with that, he started dashing about using his quick step skill to dance along the rocky walls of the training grounds, picking speed over sure footedness he chanced slipping but was confident enough with his own feet that he was able to dance about the cliffs unhindered. In addition to this, he found his wind strikes to be ineffective. Releasing his sword to shikei he started to amp up his pressure, stacking his reitsu about him to create an intense gravity and seemed to pull all energy about him towards his feet. He knew that this would not keep her from moving about, but it should slow down the strikes of her blade should she rely on such a tool with a shift in stage of game.

She slowed down enough to leave one solid afterimage of herself in the middle of the field before disappearing again. His speeding up meant absolutely nothing to her. He was still slow, and she was just starting. She twirled both swords and clanked both hilts together. "Rage, Arashi no Ikari." She changed to shikai just for the fun of it, her dual glaives not even given time for their colors to shine in the light before she was off again. She walked beside Redin, keeping up the same speed. She looked at him curiosly. "What are you doing exactly. If you're trying to be faster, it ain't workin." She twirled both weapons and stabbed them both onto the same place of his "reiatsu sheild" with blinding speed. The gravity meant to slow her down was annoying, but even with the slight slow down, her attacks would still be extremely fast. She drew back her glaives and wasted no time to jump up andattack from above, firing huge blue ceros off of her blades.

~:~ As she danced along side him, he noticed that his gravity was having no effect and immediately changed tactics before she got a steady feel of his full presence. Redin might not have been faster, but he was fast enough to leave an after image of himself and coordinate his abilities enough to flare his reitsu in one location alone. Without a misstep he managed to dance above the strikes of her glaves, the stone breaking away was of no concern to him. As she struck from above, he saw his opening, his clone might have been attacked but that was what he was waiting for, "Sting" Redin whispered as she assaulted his now vanishing after image.

Matt smiles from farther away now watching Spike closely "she's fast..wow. but Redin is to tactical to lose from just speed alone i can already see how this will turn out...but watching still is fun He unties his sword getting nice and comfortable for this may be pretty long

Spike skidded, redirecting her cero before it hit "Redin". She didnt like the way he was fighting. He was still relying on speed and afterimages even though her speed was of much higher grade? It annoyed her to no end. There was no way that she could lose. "I seeee you! Two can play at that game." She tapped her toe against the ground, once, twice, and then speed off. She left a grand total of 13 clone afterimages, each with suficiant reiatsu traces. The real Spike never stopped moving, hidding her reiatsu completely and speeding up past the motion that the eyes could follow.
