Magical Menagerie The Magical Menagerie is a magical creature shop that in addition to selling magical creatures also offers advice on animal care and health. The shop is very cramped, noisy and smelly, due to every inch being covered with cages. Among the creatures in the Magical Menagerie are enormous purple toads, a firecrab, poisonous orange snails, a fat white rabbit that can turn into a silk top hat and back, cats of every colour, ravens, Puffskeins, and a cage of sleek black rats that play skipping games with their tails. When Harry, Ron, and Hermione visit in Prisoner of Azkaban, a witch wearing heavy black spectacles helps them. Ron buys Rat Tonic for his pet rat Scabbers, while Hermione buys herself a cat, Crookshanks. Crookshanks had apparently been in there for ages because no one wanted him and he often caused chaos in the shop.

"What about in here? I've always wanted to see a magical pet shop." Drago said, he wanted to see if they soled mini sphinxes or something. Thay walked in and Drago was surprised at how small the shop was. It was noisy too and smelt like a petting zoo. Some weird fish like creatures caught his attention in a tank against the wall.

3rd year Gryffindor Al looked around the shop and discovered some really weird-looking animals. There were tap-dancing rats, talking birds, some cats, reptiles, a bit of everything. "You thinking of getting anything?" She asked, curious. She knew Drago already had a hyper-active owl named Tallow, and couldn't picture it putting up with a fish very well.

"No, I was jus curious with the kinds of animals in here. Tallow is enough for me, for some reason he's started landing on my head every time he returns from a delivery." They looked around for a little while more and then headed to Gringotts, he still had to transfer some of his muggle money into wizzard money.

Ayamae normally would've gone to Eeylop's for owl treats, but the fact that some weirdo had been following her the whole time she'd been in Diagon Alley was wearing on her and she'd gone to the closest place. She rolled her eyes at the rats skipping eachother's tails on the counter. Such show-offs...she thought. If I wasn't so kind, I'd buy one just so Artie could eat it...little buggers. She grabbed a box of owl treats off of a nearby shelf and paid for them up at the counter. She exited the shop, looking around quickly to locate the man in the hat. When she couldn't find him, she began to make her way quickly back toward the entrance to Diagon Alley, her hand clamped tightly around her wand the whole way.

Donny watched and waited for Ayamae and purposely walked up to her as she exited the shop, right behind her. He wasn't sure what to say, but she was too amazing to ignore anymore. He held her hand in his and squeezed it then leaned close to her and stammered a bit, "Come on..." trying to lead her to a side road. He hoped he wasn't scaring her, because she looked rather pale. He tugged on her arm a bit, trying to drag her away from the shop and take the hat off. He wasn't sure what was running through his mind, but panic was certainly there, because the shoppers had been giving him odd looks ever since he got here and he couldn't really blame them. A man with a hat pulled down covering his eyes in shabby clothes must look a bit strange, indeed. Still, he hoped Ayamae would recognize his voice or something, even though he stammered, but as always, Donny had terrible luck.

Ayamae's heart thudded in her throat as the man in the black hat grabbed her hand and tried to pull her into a side alley. She whipped out her wand, and turned, breaking his grip on her hand. She pointed it right into his still darkened face.
"Who the bloody hell do you think you are!? You've been following me all day, I know you have! You've got three seconds to take that ridiculous hat off and show me your face before I curse you so hard it falls off!"
The look she was giving him could've killed a basilisk. She felt threatened, and the worst thing a person could do was corner Ayamae Akahana. People in the street had stopped to stare, a few of them even drawing their wands.

Shock and frustration seemed to explode in Donny's chest. If he ran, someone was bound to corner him or something. Nearly everyone walking by had stopped and stared at him with hatred, even drawing their wands looking like they were about to curse him into oblivion. It was odd to have Ayamae stare at him with this much hate when he usually saw her loving, kind smile.
Knowing he really had no choice, that if he whispered who he was to her it sound look like a threat to passerby, he took of his hat and said, in his usual voice that sounded weak with tiredness. "Hey...Aya..." He looked around and tried to smile as though this was just a funny joke rather than mortifying, but he couldn't manage it. He stood there with his hands held infront of him in a position of complete surrender, his eyes a bit wide with fear and shock, trying to turn his face...he thought he saw Hogwarts students in the crowd...what must they be thinking...

Ayamae almost dropped her wand in shock.
"Donny! Oh, you scared the hell out of me!" Ayamae eyed the crowd that had gathered as she stashed her wand away.
"Clear off, you bunch of nosy gits. Nothing to see here. Go back to your shopping!"
Once the crowd had started moving again, she practically ran into Donny's arms.
"I'm really sorry! I saw you wearing that hat at the entrance to Knockturn Alley...gave me quite a turn."

Donny finally managed to give a weak smile as he held Ayamae in his arms, his head on her shoulder.
"Well...I...didn't want to embarrass you, looking so lovely to be seen with me...like this..." He said quietly.
Looking around he saw the crowd thinning, but a couple of young Hogwarts students who knew him were eyeing him curiously. He closed his eyes as if in doing so, they'd dissappear.
"But...guess turned out that I'd embarrass myself, I suppose.... Even if you didn't care", he said hastily, knowing her kindness and loyalty, "I know I would..." He kissed her cheek and put his head back on her shoulder, sighing a bit.

Ayamae glared in the direction of the students who remained in the street.
"Clear off or when you get back to hogwarts, it'll be double potions!"
She smirked as they scampered away. She knew that Donny was extremely self-concious of the way he looked, and that having students gawping at him wasn't a good thing.
She looked up into his eyes.
"I don't care what you look like, Donny. You're kind, and caring. So what if you haven't got that much gold and your clothes are secondhand? You're a good person, and attractive to boot! I'm not embarassed to be seen with you."
She smiled encouragingly at him and stood on her tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek.

Donavon smiled a bit when the students ran, though he certainly dreaded the moment when he saw them in herbology now. He looked down into Ayamae's shining eyes and her words filled him up with warm happiness, as did her kiss afterwards. He beamed at her and said a quiet, but more confident, "Thanks."
He was so grateful, so happy, he felt like he could fly across the sky. He held her hand as they walked in the street, not so many people stared now. He couldn't help but smile now, now that he was with Ayamae. He put his herbology book in his pocket and looked at all the bags Ayamae had in her hands.
"Here, let me carry that for you" He said, gently sliding the clothing boxes out from her hands. He felt guilty watching her weighed down by all the stuff she was holding. He looked down into the second of the two boxes box which was slightly open as it passed from her hand to his and couldn't help but notice...oh god. The tiniest nightdress he'd ever seen. Would it really even cover anything? He felt his face go a bit red and he grinned.
"I think you'd look quite lovely in this, though I certainly hope it's just for my eyes." He said softly, just loud enough so she'd hear. He chuckled a bit and put both boxes under his arms.

Ayamae's hair and cheeks turned blush pink at his comment about her nightdress. When she recovered, she decided to mess with him a little.
"For you only? Certainly not! I'm going to wear that around Hogwarts..."
She winked at him and pointed at the ice cream parlor.
"You wanna go get some? My treat."
