My Christian sister is forcing me to go to Winter camp with her.
Winter Camp is like this isolation-learning-worship-three-day thing where we go to an isolated part of Tahoe and do something.
I don't want to go.
And the sad thing is that she told everyone at her church that without a doubt I was gonna be changed.
Plus I'm leukophobic (fearing the color white) and I can't look at white for more than 10 seconds without freaking out. And snow, as you all know, is white.
And I have some conditions that could be...seen as bad to people with high religious beliefs as they do.
I don't know what to do.
I know it sounds like a simple problem, but I just needed someone who understands to listen. I just don't know what to do.
And I don't get how they're forcing me when they keep repeating that they're not forcing me. WTF?

I know it's tought, but if you don't want to go then don't go... and from what it sounds like because of your conditons you might be in danger if you do go.

I know how hard it is to say know when other people have told the masses your going, I wound up going to a seminar on going into the preist hood when I was younger because my grandma told all her friends that I was going and made me feel guilty about not wanting to go

I understand what your going through.. i know how unfair it is to have religion forced on you, and even worse when ppl act as if its for your own good. I would say just tell her how you feel and refuse to go, but i also know its not as simple as that. So use your conditions as an excuse ^-^

Actually I have been in a similar place, I was forced to go to Mormon camp one summer. Keep in mind it was an isolation-worship kind of thing, but I did start to get tired of it.

The best advice I can tell you is hide who you are, don't let yourself be swayed by people pushing their beliefs on you. When they say prayer, bow your head so no one can see you aren't praying, saying amen, etc. When you have to sit though lectures, silently laugh to yourself about how you don't believe that or reinforce your points with the things you say. The minute someone asks you if you are turning around simply explain, "It does make me consider things." That is not an entire lie, I'm sure you will consider how false things are or how they came to be.

So quite honestly, you just need to learn the art of BSing~
