Damnit!! The former general grumbled bitterly as she shoved the rubble out of her way, before glaring at the hole in the ceiling that it had fallen from. She blew some loose strands of hair from her eyes and then continued her attempts to get over the massive pieces of stone. She'd forgotten how badly damaged this place had been. But she had a reason to be here. There was something here, that she needed to take back.
After Leviathan had left to fight Gaav, and avenge Rayla, Sherra had finally remembered what had happened a thousand years ago. All about her early missions with Xellos, the details of their relationship -much to her embarrassment- and how Dee, Nast, and Grau had all been killed by her hand. She's spent most of the time in the Astral Plane, trying to cope with the guilt.
So now instead of returning to Kurou and Levi, who were probably worried out of their minds, she was in the ruins of the old base looking for the token Xellos had given her. It wasn't anything all that special, a small carved wolf hanging from a leather cord. But like with Lazuli and Hellmaster's present, the necklace had been rather important to her back then. And since she knew that Xellos still had the charm she'd given him, it was only right that she find it. Of course that meant struggling over slabs and piles of broken rock and risking getting crushed to reach the spot where she had been entombed.

Sherra was battling with a rather stubborn piece by the time Leviathan arrived. It had been wedged between several others, making it a rather difficult task for one person to remove. She was just about to blast it with magic, not caring what that would do the rest of the room, when Leviathan suddenly came up beside her and assisted with removing it. Had this been any other day, she might've smiled at the neko for his help, or done something more common and protested how she could have done it on her own. But this wasn't one of those days. Forcing a smile would take a lot more effort than it was worth to fake it. Instead she kept her gaze ahead, working on the rest of the rubble that had dared to get into her way.
"I figured you'd come looking for me...." she replied, instead of answering his question. She didn't really want to, since she knew how jealous the neko could get. And this was something she'd gotten from Xellos, after all.

Sherra frowned slightly; she knew that Levi wouldn't let the question go. He never let anything go. Being stubborn was one of the things they had in common. However, today wasn't a day to expect normal behavior from her. She didn't want to deal with arguing or misunderstandings. There was enough for her to struggle with already. Anything else would just make her head explode from stress. "I'm looking for a gift a friend gave me." she answered. "It wasn't at any of the other locations, so this is the only place it could be..." He didn't have to know who that friend was. All he needed was that it was a gift and that it was important to her. That was all that mattered, right?

Sherra continued on once they'd finally made a path through the rubble, and then continued on towards where she'd been entombed. That was the only place they should even bother to search. There was no way it would be this far away from the ice. "A necklace." she answered. "And it had a carved animal charm hanging from it." She wasn't going to say what the animal was. It would completely give away who the present was from. And then she'd have to deal with his jealousy and reassure him that she no longer had any feelings for Xellos for the millionth time. Blah blah blah. They must've both had her speech memorized by now.

Even though Levi was glancing around their current location, Sherra continued onwards towards where she'd been sealed. She wasn't going to waste her time with searching a place where the necklace wouldn't be. That would be silly. When she suddenly became aware of the smell of blood and bones, she knew they were getting close. This was the spot where Levi had first attacked them after her resurrection. Not that he remembered that. It probably wasn't that big of a deal to him. Since she'd just been another monster back then. Even though they'd met before her death too. She was only just recalling those times. She'd been so different back then. Nothing at all like her current self. It was no wonder that Levi had never realized it.

Sherra hadn't noticed the look on the neko's face, and continued on until she arrived at the far end of the room. The back wall was dominated by a massive sheet of ice that jutted out several feet from the stone surface. Her gaze went to the center of the ice, where a large chunk had been removed. That was where she had been asleep for those thousand years, only to wake up in this morbid underground chamber. A small sad sigh ecaped her, and then she glanced over at Leviathan. He still had that look on his face. "what?" she asked quietly.

"Why would I have anything to hide?" Sherra answered calmly. "If there was something I didn't want you to know, I would've told you to go back to the mansion." From her expression and tone, anyone who didn't know her very well would have taken her words as the truth, and believed her with a shred of suspicion. The problem was, however, that Sherra was rather skilled as an actress. She could fool almost anyone into believing what she wanted them to. It was a trait she'd picked up early in her existence for manipulating humans and other potentially useful beings.
She was keeping plenty of things from him. In a way, he almost knew nothing about her, now that she had recalled her first 'life'. He didn't know about her past, or what this place signified, or even about the necklace.
