but imagining it makes it so...
Drown in a sea of Darkness  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the outskirts of Soul Society was a forest that was in complete darkness. This area was known to be infested with hollows that only manifested inside the forest. In a clearing inside the forest was Ryoko Minamimoto standing in the center waiting for any opponent that would cross his path. He was user of the dark arts and a black minded shinigami that would kill even his own kind if he wanted too. He had no regret on the lives he has taken in the past and certainly won't regret it now. Mostly the espadas would call him a demon. The onl thing that isn't making the area be filled with masses of reiatsu was the patch over his eye that was repressing it from within. He mastered the darkness abilities unlike those who didn't have the courage strength and hatred as he did. He was a monster waiting for his next meal.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge me and you meet death

"Burst through the heavens, Enkai Ikazuchi Bakudon!" 
Through the clearing in the woods the man could see a shady figure. As he waited and the figure got closer, his figure was reavealed a bit more and more. It finally was clear to make out that this was Shimizu Kazuma, the head captain of Soul Society and Captain of the Tenth Division. He was clothed in a lax black attire that clung to his body except for a black jacket. His zanpaku-to rested lightly at his side. The captains were only required to wear the uniform on duty after all. The man reached the new captain..and spoke.
"Ello there Ryoko." He felt no fear in speaking with one of his own captains. "What might you be doing in a place like this..?" He asked. Shimizu had had a long past...and he too was skilled in 'dark arts'.

Drown in a sea of Darkness -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ryoko turned his head with an arched eyebrow. "Killing time... Shimizu was it? " Ryoko started out calm and collected as if he was sure that the commander is going to be his opponent. He didn't care rally all he wanted to do was fight and fight even more. He revealed his patch to him but wasn't ready to take it off just yet. At the moment Ryoko could use only a small bit of his energy. Manly he would use it for his speed or for kidos. His hands came out of his pockets and folded his arms. "So why did you come all the way from Seireitei where there is nothing but monsters and darkness." he continued with a more deeper tone in his voice. The questioned seem more retorical because he already knew whath Shimizu was going to say ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge me and you meet death

Shimizu placed his hands in the pockets of his jacket and turned from the Captain slightly. "Oh..what is a nice stroll through a place like this.." He started, "..I am not afraid of such darkness...after all..I have bonded with my inner hollow. I suppose a likeing of dark places has been etched into my personality." He lightly scuffed at the ground with his foot. "It is funny actually. Light and dark making a pact..." A soft wind blew through the forest and the leaves surrounding them rustled and many fell to the ground. Shimizu's jacket flapped in the wind. He turned his head to the captain. "Now..what might bring you here. I have told you my reason..now what have you?" He asked.

Drown in a sea of Darkness -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I came here to look for a decent opponent..." Ryoko said as if Shimizu should have known. Ryoko always looked for fights and always seems to beat anybody that would cross his path. "So commander are you here to challenge me." Ryoko dropped his arms and laid his hand on the hilt of his zanpakuto. "Having the mask of Hollow? It doesn't make them a member of the darkness. Theres more too it than just a hollow mask." The clouds shifted revealing a fool moon and at the end of the clearing was a large dead hollow that looked like Ryoko killed. "See that creature over there. He was nothing more than just an appetizer." Ryoko said in a deep tone. Ironically for Ryoko he didn't like hollow masks he thought it was a cheap power boost that a shinigami takes from a normal hollow. He found it a bit insulting for the commander to think that aquiring a hollow mask makes him more aquanted to the darkness. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge me and you meet death

Shimizu narrowed his eyes as he laid his right hand on his zanpaku-to's hilt. "I rarely even use a mask anymore..though occasionally. No..I have attained a higher form of power." He looked to where the dead hollow lay and snickered. "Do you really believe that that hollow had any comparison to my skill?" Shimizu jokingly asked. He had always liked to lighten the mood and joke around. He knew this captain was clearly bloodthristy for battle...a perfect component of the 12th Division. "I will have you know that I am certainly out of practice and could use a good practice run." He smiled as he lifted his thumb on the hilt and the blade shone from its containment of a black sheath. "Plus.." He added, "..this shall be a good entrance exam for the newly appointed captian." He smiled a crooked smile and crouched into a fighting stance, his hand at the ready on his blade.

Drown in a sea of Darkness -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ryoko gave off a little grin as he turned around completely. "What good is power without skill? What good is a man who becomes a leader but is unable to lead? Ryoko asked retorically as he readied himself in his fighting position. Ryoko always didn't liked to be the first person to attack but this time he would make an acception. As the air shifted Ryoko shunpoed at Shimizu head on. Ryoko focused his energy on his speed before using his shikai so it was alot faster than normal shunpo. When he was close enough to strike he drew his zanpakuto for a drawing strike that was aimed at the commanders upper chest. If Shizumi were to block it he would cause a sword deadly lock between them. Ryoko always started out at his minimum best to see if his opponents are worthy to keep going. Very few have ever beaten him and to those that have Ryoko became stronger an returned the favor with full force. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge me and you meet death

Shimizu let a slight smile escape his lips as he quickly drew his blade. He stepped slightly to the right, not blocking his opponent's blade, yet doing a type of parry that did not really touch this attacker's blade as he rushed by Shimizu. "Do not underestimate me.." He gravely said during the brief second that their blades met, and then ending up in a standoff again. He winced as he realised that the spiritual pressure leaking out of the captain had cut his left cheek on the way by. He raised his left hand to his cheek, pulling it down to reveal a couple bloodstained fingers. He knew better than take an attack like that head on. "Hmph.." He said, licking the two fingers and then wiping the excess blood from the cut. "..looks like this should be interesting. I can see I should not underestimate you either." He then quickly ran towards Ryoko with the tip of his blade cutting the topmost layer of dirt as he ran, aiming a strike up at his side.

Drown in a sea of Darkness -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- " That wasn't even half of what I can do..." Ryoko said as he stood there concentrating on the timing of this next attack that Shimizu. He flipped his zanpakuto backwards and in the second when Shimizu strucked Ryoko spun his body around at the commanders left avoiding the strike hitting skin but his jacket started to tear a bit. With the speed and momentum from the spin and his sword being held backwards Ryoko had Shimizu open for a powerful counterstrike at the backside. Ryoko knew when to use skill tactics in his battle leaving his opponents questioned on how he does it. A true captain would learn to work through a target than to just attack it head on lik a barbarian. Ryoko may have a lust for blood and battles but he still had the honor of a warrior. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge me and you meet death

Shimizu flipped his blade to run along his side defensively and braced for an attack. Sometimes he enjoyed simple...defensive styles, while testing his opponent of their skill.

Drown in a sea of Darkness -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once the blades collided eachother Ryoko had thhe commander where he wanted. With his blade behind him this made him open for a seperate attack. Ryoko held his free hand at his back " Bakudo # 61 Rikujōkōrō..." Suddenly six thin beams came at shizumi in an instant. Ryoko lunged back while sheathing his zanpakuto and held out his right hand. " Bakudo #63 Sajo Sabaku" A strong rope of energy was then aimed at Shimizu to get him tangled. Ryoko then held out his left arm again performing one more kido " Bakudo # 79 Kuyō Shibari." he said as as eight black holes that emit spiritual energy at Shimizu's personal space surrounding him with a ninth black hole manifesting in the center of the at his chest. This then would benefit by absorbing any reiatsu from either Shimizu's zanpakuto or himself

Shimizu winced as he realised the kind of trouble he was in. Faster than a bolt of lightning a cold wind blew through the forest and a blinding light shone out from Shimizu. The forest seemed to be in the most stale silence as the light slowly vanished.
Upon the light's vanishing and vision returned to normal Ryoki could see what seemed to be a giant prism of ice where Shimizu once stood. Even more suprising, Shimizu stood in the middle of the ice, holding his blade(now in Shikai.) in a horizontal fashion. He was not moving one bit, not even in the least. Slowly, red started to form around Shimizu's chest where one of the hadou had made it through, though Shimizu had harmed himself by freezing himself, he had also sustained less damage than he would if he had done nothing. Shimizu continued to stare, eyes seemingly void of life towards Ryoko, the same horrified look as when he had stopped the blunt of the attack.

Drown in a sea of Darkness -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ryoko arched an eyebrow as he saw the commander is encased in ice. Ryoko walked over looking at him and noticed the dead look. "My my... Looks like you are frozen. Then you don't mind if I put 400 volts through your head now?" Ryoko said as he lifted his left hand at Shimizu's head pointing two fingers at the forehead. "Hado # 4 Byakurai" He said as he fired concentration of lightning through his fingers aiming at the commanders for head. The ice may have saved Shimizu from the last few kidos but it will be hard for him to dodge an attack that will not only be fired at his head but also electrifiy his entire body due to him being encased in ice. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge me and you meet death

The ice had begun to crack and the burst into thousands of tiny pieces as Shimizu gasped for air. Luckily, the ice had protected him from the initial blast, yet a trickle of blood ran down his forehead and he felt the slight shock of the Kidou..although he was used to being shocked by electricity. He slowly stood up using his blade as a crutch. "Quite the attack force you have there.." He started "..tell me, why wasn't it you who tried out for squad 11? You show the qualities for it." He stood fully upright and stretched his back out, then turned to Ryoko again.

Drown in a sea of Darkness  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ryoko arched an eyebrow with a slow thought." Because I don't want to work under someone who doesn't have the experince that I have. I rather be my own leader than someones dog thats the way of the warrior..." Ryoko said as he got into a ready position holding his zanpakuto backwards still. "Now you must answer this question to me. Ying....Yang. Power Skill. Good and Evil what do they all have in common?" Ryoko asked as he Senka immediatly at Shimizu's back. This form of Shunpo was too fast to tell whether or not the opponent will be striked from the fron or the back. He aimed his zanpakuto at his waist once he appeared at his backside. The speed behind it was something hardly visible even for a spectator. Ryoko took some thought as to what the captain has said apparently he doesn't like to be bossed around by captains who don't know how to truely fight or lead their own men. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge me and you meet death
