Luminous DecadenceIn the bleak, war torn land of Tabrelith, conflict was a constant, with no respite in between battles, even if one side of the continent found some small measure of peace for a few months. Heroes and champions rise from every army, leading glorious conflicts until another, stronger one steps up to replace them, constantly adding to the never ending war that has engulfed all the known land. Centuries of non-stop fighting have seen the absorption or annihilation of all but two armies; The Guard of the Luminous Kingdom and the Horde of Decadence. The Luminous fight to put an end to the war, praying to the sun for gifts of peace and prosperity, whilst the Decadent ones fight solely for the sake of battle, praying to Skirata, their God of war, and to Vau, the God of destruction. With both sides losing hundreds of soldiers by the week, it is only a matter of time before one side is ground to dust and the other is so small it simply fades away. Foreseeing this fate, both sides scour the lands for champions to call upon to help win this war before all life in Tabrelith is wiped out forever.

Rules "" Obviously, following Gaia's terms of service, as well as the guild's own rules are a definite must. Duh.... "" So long as you RP in one of the threads I've made, you'll be polite and respectful to one another. Arguing in a roleplay, amongst characters is just a story and hurtful things aren't meant. Arguing outside the roleplay will get you stricken from my list and you can join someone else's thread. "" This is a war RP, but that doesn't mean elements of comedy and romance aren't allowed. In fact, they're greatly encouraged, just try not to stray to far from the story's purpose. "" Profiles are to be sent to me via PM so that I may add them to the profile thread myself. "" This RP is mine, you knuckle heads! That means I can and will alter the rules whenever I see that something needs adding.

You may control me now, Horde spit...
The stench of blood filled the frigid air as countless dead lay across the battlefield and thousands more kept on fighting. From behind a twisted pile of bodies, Hood leaped, twirling once in the air and landing behind a Luminous soldier. Swirling air, hard as steel around his fist made the punches Hood landed feel like a hammer coming down on the soldier. Three blows to the body and the man fell over, dead.
Hood looked around and saw that the Horde was going to win today, but it would be close. There would be a lot fewer soldiers left on his side and the likelihood that they would be able to pursue the Luminous survivors was slim, though they'd still be ordered to do so. Another Luminous swordsman attacked Hood, aiming the blade at his neck. Maintaining the steel air around his arms, Hood blocked the blade with his forearm and then pushed the air around his shins, kicking the man in the head and breaking his neck. Another Horde warrior came up alongside Hood and the two of them charged a line of Luminous archers, the soldier with his shield in front, Hood with his arms blocking his body with the steel air around it.
But my time will come, and I'll make sure you pay.

There's no rule's to war meaning you don't have lifes......... Sophia was put on arrow's for this part of battle today. The Horde was doing quiet well today and was loosing at one point, but brought up the energy. She aimed out her arrow, then out came her words. " Watashi no mokuhyō ni jigoku o jisan shi, itami de jimen ni ochiru. ". With that the arrow was shot through the air. For the third time today, she had shot a Luminous warrior right in the neck. She looked down at her snake feeling it tighten around her ankle.
Sophia's attention was suddenly brought behind her. Quickly, she unsheated her sword, and quickly flipped her body around. She now lay on a branch with her sword out in front of her, a Luminous soilder ontop of her. She smirked at the man before she pushed herself off the branch. Now in the air, she pulled out an arrow and lit it up on fire. She aimed at the man and got a clear aim since he jumped off the branch after her. Before hitting the ground, she let the arrow flame off towards her target. She flipped back and landed on her feet, sword now ready. Sophia turned towards the battle feild and saw that Hood and a few others were attacking a line of Luminous soilders. She let out a light laugh before she was attacked once more.
.....so you better run or die by my blade on the spot! (( I'm bad at starting off, so hope this is alright for right now! ^.^ ))

Hood landed in the center of the archer line, breaking one man's neck with a kick and swatting an arrow down before it managed to dig into his shoulder. One of the archers pulled a short sword out and lunged at Hood, but the Hored soldier that had rushed with him plunged his own blade into the Luminous archer.
The two fought back to back for what was only about forty seconds, but seemed like ages. When the line of archers was dead, Hood looked around to see that most of the Luminous were falling back and the Horde was just wrapping up the last few stupid enough to stand and keep fighting. Just about all of the men held their weapons in the air and cheered, but Hood stood there, silently. He had no desire to celebrate a victory for the Horde when it just meant he was continuously getting further and further from his own freedom. Hood spit on the ground and began walking to the rear Horde line where they would begin to set up camp and rest until the reinforcements arrived and the next battle began.
But my time will come, and I'll make sure you pay.

There's no rule's to war meaning you don't have lifes......... Sophia was finishing off a man, when she heard some cheering far off. Out she looked towards the middle of the battle feild to see the Decadent had won yet again. Thing's were beginning to get easier by the day now. All Sophia did was close her eye's, sheath her katana, then start walking alone. She kept walking, falling behind as everyone else went in front of her. At on point though, she opened an eye and looked back to the dead bodies to see Hood was also walking alone, an expressionless look on his face. That's something they both had in common, weirdly. Sophia just followed behind everyone else, and then did what they did. Nothing special, right?
.....so you better run or die by my blade on the spot! (( Sorry of the shortness. Writer's block! xD

As camp was being set up, Hood walked over to where the fire pit was being set up. There was already several large pots and pans ready to be set on top of the giant span of hot coals that would soon be laid out and lit. Looking around and noticing that almost everyone had shed their armor and set their weapons aside, Svexal removed his hood and with it, the name.
"Oi, Svexal, you making that sea food thing again?" one of the men setting up the fire asked.
"There's no fish fresh enough for a man to eat anymore. I'll give you guys a taste of something new." he told the man. That seemed to please him so the soldier kept on setting up while Svexal walked over to one of the few trees set up around the base and sat down under it, pulling out a flask of water and taking a small drink.
But my time will come, and I'll make sure you pay. [[No worries. It happens.]]

There's no rule's to war meaning you don't have lifes......... Sophia watched as everyone set up, Svexal or Hood, apparently making dinner tonight. Seeing everyone set their armor and weapons aside, she just set her weapons down. She didn't have armor, but cloth. All she wore was a dark blue bra, or bikini like top, the matching dark blue underwear, then a dark colored wrap the went around her waist. Sighing, she began walking to the tent's, but to a bigger sized tent. A little far out, Sophia heard her name being called from behind.
" Sophia! Hey wait up. "the voice said, getting closer. Once the figure got closer, she saw it was Rekh. She just smiled as he came near, then came to a hault. " Where are you going? Svexal's making something new tonight. "Rekh said, his breathing hard. Sophia has known Rekh since she was five, since he was the one that saved her when she got caught in a battle. She owed Rekh big time for what he did, and because he got her training at six years of age. Not many people get the chance to start training at a young age like that, but Sophi was one of those lucky ones that did!
" Oh, don't worry. I'm going to go get a few wounds wrapped up. I had an arrow hit me in the side of my thigh. " Sophia said moving her wrap to have the wound shown. " I had enough medicine in the hilt of my sword to stop the bleeding. Don't worry about me though. Just make sure there's something for me to eat when I get back. " Sophia said with a light laugh as she turned around and walking towards the tent again.

As the heat of the coals finally started to make them glow, Svexal walked over to where all the slaughtered livestock were and hefted some meat over to the large pan. A few others grabbed what was left and tossed it on the pan as well, making the cooking process a little faster.
Svexal had noticed, with some annoyance that, while the spiciness of his food always seemed to upset the soldiers, usually because their eyes started watering, they still liked the taste enough to ask him to make the meals on occasion. The whole point was to hurt them more then help them, but that was just his luck.
Grabbing a few jars from where the meat had been laid out, Svexal began seasoning the food while the men who weren't busy sang songs while they waited for the meal. Svexal was never much for happy tunes or merry cadence. No, he preferred the sounds of instruments to that of a human voice's imperfect notes. Still, he just kept on cooking, neither smiling nor frowning as he watched the food cook or call for more produce to be tossed in.
But my time will come, and I'll make sure you pay.

There's no rule's to war meaning you don't have lifes......... Sophia came out of the tent, some of her body wrapped up in bandages. Carefully, she pulled the string out of her hair and let it fall to her shoulders. She ran her figners through her hair as she sat down in the circle of men, few girls there including herself. She looked at what was in the pot, to see Svexal was making something different. He never really cooked anything different, so this was kind of weird.
" So Svexal, what's it going to be tonight? Seems different than your usual. " Sophia said leaning back on her hands, letting her hair slip from her shoulders to be back. She then just sat there silently watching as the meat cooked. A spark from the fix popped up and landed on her knee, and all she did though was just push it off. It gave her a light shock, but nothing to big. Sophia felt a slithering around her waist, then stopped in her lap. The snake's face became viewable , but she could only see it sicne it was in her lap. No one would look in her lap, so it was alright for him to come viewable right there.

Svexal glanced over at Sophia as she addressed him and cleared his throat of all the smoke. "Hello, Miss Sophia." he began. "We were all out of sea food, being so far from the shore now, so I decided I'd make some of my mother's secret recipe. No name for it, it just involves beef, veggies and enough spice to incinerate a man's oral cavity."
She would probably be able to tell it was an exaggeration but Svexal did like to joke around with the champions when he got the chance. Out of all the Horde scum he was forced to work with, they were the only ones he didn't mind being around. Then again, that mostly had to do with the fact that he wasn't a champion himself, but all the other grunts treated him like one simply because he was a better fighter then most.
"A good fight today." he said, changing the subject. "Hopefully we can keep the momentum going and end this war..." he didn't add that he would be assassinating as many of the Horde leaders that had been over him as he could once he was free, but he figured that was just best left unsaid.
But my time will come, and I'll make sure you pay.

There's no rule's to war meaning you don't have lifes......... Sophia saw Svexal eye's lock on hers for a moment before her talked. " Oh, I see. Interesting. " Sophi said, a light laugh escaping her lips. Svexal always did have a way to make someone smile, or let out a light laugh, including herself. He was quiet a person, and he was really fun to be around. Sophia didn't have to many friends, but Svexal was one of her close friends you could say.
Sophi nodded her head slightly as he talked about the fight today, and just the war going on. " Yep, today was a good one. What I hate though is that everyone act's like it was their first victory ever! It gets irritating, if you know I mean. " Sophi said looking down at the snake sleeping in her lap. She gently caressed her snake as it slept soundlessly. She looked back up at the fire as it danced in the night air.

"I couldn't agree more." Svexal said, glaring at a group of men who were already completely drunk and walking dangerously close to the pan Svexal was cooking on. One of them lost his balance and was foolish enough to grab the pan instead of just falling to the floor. The man screamed and Svexal merely shook his head at the idiot's burnt hand. "But, if they don't celebrate, then I don't get a show like that one." He said, cracking the slightest of smirks.
"Well, Miss Sophia, the food is ready if you want to grab one of those platters over there." he said, pointing to the large stack of plates that the men would soon rush to grab once they knew the food was ready. Svexal grabbed a cleaver hanging next to the pan and started hacking off pieces for everyone, taking plates and sliding a piece on. "Make sure to drink water, gentlemen. Wouldn't want you children crying to your mothers when the spice is too much for you."
But my time will come, and I'll make sure you pay.
