Now this is a rather daring adventure with Tarot cards. Not daring so much in it's danger but it's potential danger. The idea is simple enough. During a ritual, meditative time. Sit down and write your own personal meanings for your tarot cards ignoring the previous meanings for the most part. Some previous meanings fit the card like Lust, obviously being lust.

But you'll find the Trumps can present some rather interesting options when doing this personalization. And some cards that have always been personal to you are allowed to take on more life. Obviously there are benefits to writing your own meanings for the cards since you can clearly insert your own hidden messages and meanings into the cards.

So, anyways. The concept and the idea is simple enough. I'm not going to be doing the thinking for people and tell them how to set something up. That's already easy enough to understand. If you have a hard time understanding what I'm saying when I say, "Simply write your own meanings for your personal tarot deck during a meditative/ritual period"

Then you probably should practice reading tarot with the preassigned meaning before doing this. No offense, just being honest.

Now, there ARE some risks to writing out your own meanings. You MUST MUST MUST be good enough with Tarot to do honest readings about yourself. Or I would not recommend doing this.

Otherwise due to you only having a limited view of things when creating the new meanings for your cards. You could end up with a deck that will only tell you what you WANT to know. But will then completely ignore what you NEED to know. Or, if you look at yourself from to much of a negative or positive standpoint. Then the deck will change accordingly.

Neutrality, openness and honesty is ever essential when doing this magic. You don't want to make it so your own deck screws you over or starts giving you an incomplete picture of things. BUT, if you are experienced enough with Tarot that this idea doesn't worry you. It's something that can make a much more intimate bond with your deck and do wonders for your readings.

Again, it's all about the simple rule of personalization being more powerful. Just with some minor risks. Have fun and I wish anyone well who tries this.
