I know almost everyone has this problem. We should all share stories and then call everyone (bus us) ridiculous and selfish!!
3nodding We let my neighbor use our phone charger last week and she has come over every day asking to use it again. When I tell her she can't use it because I am using it at the moment, she gets all weird and starts begging (which I think she thinks is cute) and/or acting like is isn't my decision. Most of the problem here is that she doesn't bring it back and we end up having to go get it. I don't know why she can't just get her own. They are like $2 on ebay.
I had a similar problem with her a few months ago. She came to my door at least 3 times a day asking to buy a cigarette. She would give me a quarter. Eventually I got sick of it and started saying no. She would start in with the begging. At one point I only had like half a pack and NO money. She came up as asked, I said no because I didn't have enough for myself and I had no way to get more. She couldn't seem to understand that I can't get more with a damn quarter.
While I'm on ungrateful neighbors....
We got a car, finally. So now all of my neighbors think that they are entitled to rides as long as they offer me some gas money (usually with no intention of giving it to me).

I'm gonna write her a letter in that other thread) to pick up her kids from school. ******** WALK like you have always done. How did you get them home before I got a car? Stop acting like your kids being at school is an emergency!
Other neighbors practically demand a ride. Yes, they will be all polite at first because (contrary to what they seem to think) I am doing them a favor. But when I say no, they start in with the "Why not's" and the "come on's". ********.
