This fight takes place in the world of the living between Hisoka Tsen, Segunda Espada and Tokemaru, Squad 3 Captain. The setting is these two pictures. There is a lake which spans approximately 3.5 miles in length and 4 miles in width. The deepest part of the lake is 75ft into relatively clear, cold mountain freshwater. At one end there are timber uprights sticking up out of the water. Once it may have been a little pier for rowing/fishing boats but the walkway has long since eroded and now there is just the vertical beams sticking out like stepping stones, lonely indicators of an era past. These beams stretch about 10m out from the land and the gaps between each post are erratic and random. To the immediate left of this desolate mooring area runs a river, joining a mountain stream to the lake. The water runs fast out of the creek into the lake and there are two, 3 metre high-sided, slopes of earth, eroded by the hydraulic action of the water. Bridging the gap over the river just at the mouth of the lake is a felled tree that has acted as a foot crossing by the humans for many years. The land surrounding the area is well forested and there are a lot of shelters behind the trees and many of them have wide branches. There is one focal tree, it being a few hundred year old oak; as such it has huge, long and wide branches, more than enough space to fight on. The time is midevening and the wind is blowing softly through the trees, gently caressing the leaves and making them rustle in unison as well as giving the area an eerie feel about it. This is mixed with the bubbling and gurgling of the stream as it makes its way into the lake and the general area is silent other than that. No wi ldlife stirs, the fish in the lake have moved to the deepest part of the lake and there is a premonitious sense of foreboding clinging to the dusk air like the gathering dew on the grass. Anticipation sways in the air like the leaves, a single oak leaf breaks off and floats, carried by the wind, and settles on the surface of the lake, creating a ripple effect. Interruptions are permitted. PM me or not, it’s up to you.
All regular guild rules apply;
No Godmodding No Auto dodging No Auto hitting No Killing Etc etc
One small rule of my own, it is more of a guideline than a rule;
To make this an interesting and taxing spar, please hold back on Shikai or relase forms for a few posts, test your strength as well as mine. As a minimum, make 5 posts before a release. And no, that does not mean that you HAVE to release after the 5th post. I’d like for both characters to prove their worth before jumping to the destroying part!!
My opponent may post first. Good luck and fight hard, friend.

 Tokemaru, the young captain of Squad 3 was in Urahara's shop buying his favorite kind of gourmet chocolate when he felt the reiatsu of an arrancar pass by and decided to investigate. He bade Urahara farewell and headed in the direction he felt the reiatsu coming from. 'I'm supposed to be on leave because of the injuries I got during the tamakai training, but I'm the only one in the human world right now, so I might as well check it out,' he thought to himself as the followed the trail of reiatsu until he came upon a still lake surrounded by trees, strangely enough though, there was no one in sight. "What the...? I could swear blind that I felt something..." Tokemaru said to himself as he looked around.

James BoneDelusion,insanity,absolute madness. . . James who had been hiding deep within the trees felt the Spiritual Pressure of a Soul Reaper.It looks as if he had noticed Hisoka's Reiatsu or his because James sucked at masking his own.He was waiting to see how Hisoka would do in her fight,he wouldn't allow some weak Arrancar filth to be a higher rank than him and get away with it,so just to make sure she didn't fit that title he wanted to see how'd she do in a fight.But thats when James realized who's Reiatsu he had felt belonged to,it was the Captain he defeated twice a while back when he was a mere Privaron,this means that Hisoka would defeat him too easily for James to actually see if she was strong or weak.However if she lost it would prove how weak she might have been after all,but the chances of that were slim,and thats when another thought came into his head,if he couldn't mask his Spiritual Pressure what was the point in hiding,he would be sensed without a doubt.James just shrugged and enjoyed that "Ninja" sensation that came over him as he hid in the tree. . . .Is merely the beginning

夜に持参氷 Hisoka Tsen Hisoka sat in one of the branches above James almost perfectly concealing her reiatsu. Her back was to the trunk of the tree, one knee tucked up to her chest, the other leg out straight giving her a relaxed and casual look. The ends of her kimono hung down by either side of the branch, blending in with the old, almost black, colour of the bark and her Zanpakuto rested safely in its sheath on her hip. She smiled a little as she looked down at him, the prey trying to stalk the hunter, little did he know that she was mere metres away, doing a little stalking of her own. As the new reiatsu entered the area, she turned her attention to it. She’d been dying for a fight for weeks but had been unable to do so. Until this moment, weak willed hollows or annoying Adjuchas had been her main target. Anything to try to quell her bloodlust. Though the reiatsu was Captain Level, it was weakened. There was a notable difference as he walked; she could tell that he was injured. She had picked up the reduced pressure as she’d passed the shop. A prior and recent fight, or from an old one, it mattered not. The point was he hadn’t fully recovered and defeating him in such a weakened vulnerable state would almost bring a tear to her eye… If only she’d bothered to hold on to her heart. Shifting on the branch at a speed that almost mimicked sonido without having used it, Hisoka soundlessly stood up to look down at the captain. Her keen eyes analysed him, noting his injuries, his stance, his facial expression, anything of relevance. The key to winning any fight was to know one’s enemy and knowing them before the fight if possible. This gave the advantage of not having to think about what each shift in weight meant what a flicker of emotion in the eye said. She tilted her head to the side as she sniffed chocolate on the wind and mentally made a note to blow a candy store into smithereens before going home, maybe she’d even appease James with a few of his favourites and ease some of the tension that was between them. Her eyes returned to the Espada below her and she took a step off of the branch that she was on, looking like she were going to fall. Appearing behind James, as she came out of the sonido jump, she finally let loose a tiny burst of her reiatsu to let him know that it was her. Moving around to his left side, she folded her arms in front of her chest, her kimono having fallen back into place to semi-conceal her white hakama. She turned her head towards him, her feline jawbone mask facing him and smiled warmly, it was friendly and meaning no harm to him but behind that smile there was a sinister yet subtle little warning that if push came to shove, she’d have to. Disappearing again, she silently unsheathed her sword as she used sonido to appear above the captain. Her sword was vertical to the ground as was her body, travelling head first with her hands above her head. Her feet were pointed towards the sky as she landed, her katana sticking only a few inches into the ground in front of the captain. She supported herself in that upright position with only her right hand on the hilt of her Zanpakuto, balancing like a gymnast. The speed and silence of her entrance might have the desired effect on the captain and, if he was smart, he’d take off running. From this position, her face was level with the captain’s and she smiled, her emerald green eyes holding his with a look of unspoken contempt for what he was, but also amusement, that he’d been so stupid as to follow an Arrancar out to this area. Even if he had noticed her reiatsu as she’d travelled to it, he should have noticed James’s… now he was in the midst of two Espada, both of whom were more than happy to spill a little blood, maybe even cost the Seireitei a capain. “Good evening Captain,” she smirked. Deciding to tone down the strength of her blows before the fight even began, Hisoka resigned herself to playing with the captain, working out his style, watching him suffer. Before he even had the chance to answer she’d brought her legs down to the ground, taken her Zanpakuto from the earth and aimed a horizontal thrust for the captain’s heart, all within the space of a single breath. 闇がその使用人をお待ちしております

James BoneDelusion,insanity,absolute madness. . . James felt the slight flicker of Spiritual Pressure and knew it was Hisoka,out of shock he fell off the branch hitting about three others on the way down and landing on his head giving off a loud thud in the process.He lied there for a minute soaking in his own failed attempt to hide himself,though he wasn't too surprised that he'd be found.James finally took the time to lift himself up and he just sat on by the tree,waiting for this highly anticipated fight to unleash. . . .Is merely the beginning

 "Whoa!" Tokemaru stepped back as someone landed in front of him and the young captain suddenly found himself face to face with an espada he'd never seen before. He also felt James' reiatsu, but he ignored it for how, if James got any ideas of grandeur from beating an emotionally unstable captain at the bottom of their game, that was his problem. As the thrust got close to his heart, Tokemaru twisted himself around, slapped the blade away with one hand, grabbed her wrist with the other hand while she was still moving forward, and ducked down so that he could plant his elbow into her gut. "And you are...?" Tokemaru replied without a shred of anger or contempt in his level tone.

夜に持参氷 Hisoka Tsen Hearing James fall off the tree behind her, she laughed a little inside, not having thought that she'd have had that kind of an effect on him. When they got back to Hueco Mundo, she made a mental note to never let him live the incident down. She knew that he'd be fine though. Hopefully he'd stay out of the way too, more for his sake than hers. Hisoka smiled as her wrist was grabbed and her own attack used against her, she had expected nothing less from a captain of the 13 Court Guard Squads. The speed she was moving at made everything seem like slow motion and as such, she had just enough time to avoid what seemed to the normal eye, like an inescapable counter. She'd thought through a few possible options, using hierro and take the blow, freeze his hand off by dropping her body temperature, one of her specialities because of her Zanpakuto's ice abilities... but the one she'd decided on was the most risky. Her right leg was still on the ground, bent and ready to propel herself forward once she had killed the captain. Now that leg was used as the perfect knee spring. Combining sonido with a high tuck jump slightly to the side, she managed to clear his elbow as it passed harmlessly under her feet her knees tucked up to her chest. There was still the little matter of him having her wrist though but she didn't see that as too much of a problem, seeing as the jump had left her in the perfect position to deliver any kick she wished to the captain's head or open body. He was young, very young to be a captain but nonetheless she didn't care. He was going to be eradicated off the face of the Earth as well as his name burned from the records of the Seireitei once she had finished with him. Deciding quickly, she chose to execute a softened turning kick off the left leg which, whilst she was jumping at an angle, was the one closest to the boy's face. The force of any kick to the head would be enough to make him go unconscious but since she was surpressing a huge amount of her reiatsu he'd still see stars but wouldn't pass out if the kick landed. Looking boldly down into the captains strikingly red eyes, curling her lips into an almost manic smile as she kicked. She replied in a tone and with a look of bloodlust that would strike fear into even a Kenpachi, "Your worst nightmare," 闇がその使用人をお待ちしております

 The kick landed and Tokemaru was knocked off his feet and he released his grip on Hisoka's wrist before he hit the ground so as not to drag her down with him. as soon as he hit the ground, he rolled backward in order to recover quickly as well as to distance himself from his opponent. He dusted himself off and looked over at Hisoka, there were some spots in his vision and there was some dirt on his face from where her foot had landed, but otherwise he was relatively alright. he took a moment to analyze the girl in front of him. She was fast, flexible, and athletic, she was also very skilled at taking advantage of these traits. Tokemaru looked right back into Hisoka's bloodthirsty glare without any visible fear, he's seen similar looks before from other opponents. "Other indeviduals have given me that same look and said those exact words, and they were all much scarier than you. Worst nightmare? I've been there already."

夜に持参氷 Hisoka Tsen Smiling as she landed, Hisoka wasn’t going to give the captain too long to recover. She often found that when her opponents were a little stunned that they acted more impulsively, more from base, innate instinct. Usually that instinct would be dormant, locked away until stress, nerves, that wonderful hormone adrenaline or some other trigger would unleash it like a wild animal from a cage. The best part was the sheer unpredictability of the individual and the pleasure that was to be gained from seeing them giving their all. Either way she liked the fact that at that stage they’d be fighting for survival but the end would be the same. Her Zanpakuto would bathe in their blood. She looked him over again, her eyes quickly scanning, picking up on what she’d missed from her observance from the tree. Not a hint of fear shone in his eyes which amused her, she’d thought that she’d mastered the look and had shut up one or so of the Espada with it. She went back to her normal smile, twirling her Zanpakuto around her finger and grabbing it with her right hand. It was certainly true that she didn’t look half as scary as some of the other Espada but she would show Tokemaru before the battle was over, that she was his worst nightmare. Hopping from her right to her left foot, purely for theatrics, she charged reiatsu into her right foot as it landed again, using sonido to try aim a horizontal slash at his stomach and arm as she travelled past his side. Her arm was to the side across her body, both of her hands holding the hilt of her Zanpakuto. She wasn’t using her full speed or strength, only at about a weak Numeros’s but still she was travelling fast enough to cause substantial damage if he didn’t react quickly enough. Hoping that he’d been sufficiently awakened into the world of her power, she was banking on him dodging but wouldn’t be surprised if he had a counter in store. It was exactly for that reason, of him and his fighting style being unknown to her, that she kept one foot on the ground instead of lunging with no feet on the ground. Being constantly in contact with the earth allowed for quick movements, fast dodges and even faster counters especially turning ones. 闇がその使用人をお待ちしております

 Tokrmaru knew she was being cautious as she came at him again, sussing him out to figure out his fighting style. Determined to be as unpredictable as possible as long as possible, Tokemaru quickly jumped over the slash and flipped through the air. As Hisoka passed under him, he aimed an axe kick at her back.

夜に持参氷 Hisoka Tsen Her tactics seemed to be a good choice as the captain jumped. He, too, was fast but she sincerely hoped that he’d start giving her some bit of a challenge soon. Her left foot was just landing as the captain began to bring his leg down, pivoting clockwise 180 degrees on the ball of her foot. Bending her right arm to retract her sword a little, she blocked the kick with the flat of her Zanpakuto’s blade. The force he’d put behind it, as well as gravity, forced her arm towards her face. She slid her left arm down the blade, stabilising it just before the metal, and his foot, hit her face. She moved her head to the right, to get a clear view of the captain and grinned evilly up at him. Putting a little effort into it, she pushed both hands together but used more force with her right, intending to throw him back into the air. If he hadn’t very fast reflexes and balance, the effect of her putting more pressure into her right hand would cause him to be thrown to the side in midair, increasing his chances of falling awkwardly. More importantly, his attention would be focused on correcting himself rather than on her. This momentary window of time would be all she needed to kill him, that’s all she needed. She hoped that James would be up for a spar after this disappointing excuse for a fight. 闇がその使用人をお待ちしております

 'Good block...' Tokemaru thought to himself as his kick was blocked and he was shoved to the side. In order to keep from falling awkwardly, Tokemaru twisted himself in mid air so that he would land on his feet. A kido incantation was on the tip of his tounge in case she tried anything during this time.

夜に持参氷 Hisoka Tsen Hisoka stood, waiting for the captain to get back onto his feet. She wasn't impressed, by his expression it seemed that he was thinking of using some of that damned kido stuff against her. She shook her head in disappointment and then began to laugh, she'd barely begun to have any fun at all and already, the captain was taking the coward's way out. But, whether she liked it or not, his mind was his own. It would be interesting to wait for him to move, seeing exactly how he moved for an unprovoked attack was the final piece of the puzzle for her. Then, and only then, she would know and be ready for all of his attacks thereafter. She took the time to turn her back to him, pretending to fix her hair using the blade of her sword as a mirror. This way she could look completely ditzy and even a little moronic but could watch every step the captain took. She was very careful when tucking her hair behind her, taking great care not to unveil her tattoo that was at the top of her spine. To her it was just a number but letting him know who or what rank she was now would just spoil the fun. The way that she’d been suppressing her reiatsu as well as softening her kicks could have placed her as a Numeros. Maybe the captain would mistake her as one of James’s fraccion, seeing as he wasn’t making any great attempts to hide his reiatsu, try to finish her off fast with an overly confident demeanour. The only minor thing that he probably wouldn't have time to think a lot about that would place her above a Numerous was the sonido that she had used to evade the elbow had been a fraction too fast for a simple fraccion member. Whatever he thought and, frankly, Hisoka couldn't have cared less, she had a sneaking suspicion that the Captain wouldn't let up the opportunity to throw some kind of attack to her back, be it kido or otherwise. 闇がその使用人をお待ちしております

 Tokemaru landed on his feet, since she hadn't attacked as he landed, there wasn't any need to use the kido spell he was going to use. This was a confusing opponent, by her reiatsu, she seemed like a numeros, perhaps one of that fool Jame's lackeys, but something about her seemed out of place, something told her that she was stronger than she was letting on, much stronger. He did nothing but stand there and watch her movements as she stood awkwardly with her back to him. It was bad form to him to attack an enemy when their back was turned, so he didn't. "Aren't you going to try to kill me? I thought you said you were my worst nightmare," Tokemaru said to her.

夜に持参氷 Hisoka Tsen Hisoka remained silent, still waiting for him to attack but he did not. Perhaps he was trying to be noble as well as incredibly stupid. She’d left herself wide open for him to attack her but he’d wasted the golden opportunity. It was also one that she would not present him with again. His words made no impact on her, she was not angered by them, if he were trying to wind her up it wasn’t working. She looked over her right shoulder, narrowing her eyes at him, her sword falling by her side again. In the blink of an eye she’d disappeared from his sight. Using sonido, Hisoka stood on the farthest out beam of wood, her Zanpakuto was back in its sheath. Her plan was to lure him out, see if he would follow her, stand their waiting like a fool or run back through a senkai gate crying to the other captains for his bottle. She wanted to kill him, something just clicked within her at the very sight of him and it frustrated her that she was under orders not to kill any of the captain-class shinigami. Personally, she’d have opened a garganta into the Seireitei and walked into their meeting hall and massacred the lot of them a long time ago but for the orders. The wind picked up a bit and her kimono flapped about her, as she waited, bored as usual. She vowed that he’d acknowledge her as from the thing that nightmares originated from by the end of their fight. If he was lucky, she accidently kill him. If he was not so lucky, he was in for some immense pain. 闇がその使用人をお待ちしております
