Thanks for the profile Alyha.
I thought I'd just expand on the powers thing a bit. Basically there's two aspects to each power:
Gravity: Area of influence and Intensity
Time: Area of influence and change in flow.
Transmutation: Amount of matter changed and complexity of change.
It takes less energy to focus on one aspect of the balance, while to influence both takes expenentially more energy and focus to do so.
For Gravity, making a single object many times heavier would be an example of high intensity in a small area. Where as making the gravity for an entire room twice as heavy would be an example of low intensity and high area.
For Time, think about it as affecting pockets of time. Speeding up time (either for a long time or speeding it up by several times) for a small pocket (say the size of a basketball) is an example of small area high change in flow. To change the flow of time for, again the size of a room, for a short time or a small factor, would be an example of the inverse. Just remember it's easier to speed up time than to reverse it's flow.
Finally, Transmutation, who's two sides are amount of mass changed (so how large or dense what you're affecting is) and the complexity of change (whether in shape or the chemical/atomic make up). On one hand, changing a large steel I-beam into a different shape would be a change of high mass, small change. On the other, changing a hand full of steel nails into water would be a small mass, complex change.
