Hello, I am Nadya, and I am a 19 year old gypsy. They happen to call me Nadya or Nady if your close. I am a female who likes the outdoors, animals, herbs, my friends,, but despises the church, being alone for long periods of time, easily satisfied people. I guess I should tell you, I have been raised by both my parents up until six months ago when my father was killed in this oppression being cast upon us. Most of my childhood was spent happily learning to be what is often called a wise woman. My mother still holds that title however I have finished training and spend a lot of time at her side helping to heal the battle wounded.. It's probably why they say I'm I'm an very bright and out going, I can almost always find something to laugh about. I stick close to my friends, and protect those I love with a vengeance.. A song to describe me? I guess, Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield. Need a picture? Nadya One more thing! I have decided this battle is ridiculous, but I feel that if we have to fight for what is rightly ours than so be it.. My parent is The Resting Wolf.

A Wandering Flame (Forum)
HISTORY(pictures have been removed for space purposes, her posting style can be viewed under the TESTING thread)
*********************************
Nadya stepped out of the forest into the waning moonlight, by the moment it became paler and paler and the other horizon began to light with brilliant colors. A yawn stretched across the young girl's face, screwing up the beauty that lie there as she watched the color exchange for a mere moment. Draped on her arm was a basket full of herbs. Early morning, before the sun came up and the moon finally sunk out of sight was her favorite time to collect, her quiet time to herself. Soon the day would begin and things would get going as they rushed about setting more guards and making breakfast and rounding everyone up to make sure no one was unknowingly lost during the night. Heading across the plain towards camp she saw two others out early and began to hurry a bit as she recognized one of them. Who in the world had let Ash wander around at this time? Her father would kill her if he got up and she was not home.
Slightly winded she reached the pair and relaxed a bit upon finding that the gypsy with her was Axl. The young trouble maker really could not be in better hands.
"Good morning Ash, Axl." Nadya grinned at them both, then carefully rearranged some of the herbs in her basket that had started to dangle over the edge. Camp should be starting to stir about now she figured. Maybe she could talk Ash into coming back with her.
*********************************
Nadya giggled, "Ash dear, I am always up early, you should know that by now." Turning to Axl she made a face and nodded her head, "The young woman is right Axl, you could use a bath. Camp should be stirring, if I can talk her into coming back with me, you should take a break. I can send somebody else out here to cover for you while you rest." Axl ran himself into the ground, but she could not help to admire him, he took his duties seriously and had a passion other than fighting that kept him upbeat. He could play that guitar of his too, he lifted so many spirits with his music. Slanting her gaze back to Aisling she wandered how to word things without sounding like she was ordering her to do something. Aisling did not look for trouble it merely seemed to find her, en masse.
"Ash, I found some rather fresh Slippery Elm and Goldenseal this morning and we have several wounded soldiers in the tent, care to come help me and mom make it into poultices and wrap their wounds?" In reality it would all depend on Ash's mood rather this interested her or not, but Nady mentally crossed her fingers.
In reality Nadya would give almost anything to be able to run around causing trouble with Ash again. Things had been thrust upon her since her father died, and she had a very free spirit that was starting to rebel. Surely her and Aisling could find something to amuse themselves with as they worked in the tent.
*********************************
Nadya grinned, "You have helped enough with this one to at least be able to bandage a poultice onto a wound my dear." Laughing at Aisling's antics she headed into waking camp linked arm and arm with her childhood friend. Along the way they passed Scarlet sitting out with her tools, she really did make beautiful carvings.
"Morning Scarlet!" Nadya waved as she passed the occupied young woman. The day was gong to be a nice on indeed. Late spring was in the air, flowers and herbs particularly were blooming gracefully and the sky was clear. The latter which could change of its own accord, but Nadya just did not see it happening today. Maybe later if she got the chance her and Ash could go romp through the woods and hit the river that ran through them a ways in.
First things first however and she entered the tent with a wave and greeting to her mom. Breakfast was already and she was passed a plate and one quickly made for Aisling after her mom greeted her with a hug. Scarfing down breakfast Nady set about getting water going with the fresh herbs for the wound dressing poultices. When Ash finished she handed her a stack of linen.
"Remember neat little rectangles. The old ones were beyond washing, so we have to make new ones today." Nadya and her mom made new bandages only when they had too. As long as the others could be sterilized clean they used them. Cloth was a precious trade of theirs and they tried not to waste it. Not that anybody was buying from them right now anyway Nadya thought with a sigh.
