Avvi bowed slowly to her father the leader of the clan. "Of course father." she responded trying to mask the sour note in her voice. Turning she galloped out of the Centaurian Court Meeting. She mumbled under her breath as she pondered the ridiculous order that was given to her.

Sapphira sat under a large oak tree, by appearance the tree looked as though it had sat there for hundreds of years, but if you were to look closer you would see that the tree was alive, if not more alive than the ones around it.
A sigh escaped Sapphira's lips as she picked up a tiny half-burnt book. It was the only memory she had left of her home, she had lived underground with hundreds of elves and dwarfs alike, but the dwarfs had turned against them when she was seven. She knew that it was all because the High-elves would not allow dwarfs in their cities and they decided that elves were not allowed in theirs.

"Marriage really? Just to become a princess as i rightfully by birth am?" Avvi had outrage in her voice. "Fine. I'll run away then." She stopped and pound the dirt with her back hoof. "Stupid high court centaurs..." she grumbled and mumbled some more as she packed a simple bag of a few things she would need. She was tired of being told what to and not to do.

Sapphira could remember her mother lowering her into a well and telling her to wait there for her, but when she hadn't come back and everything went silent, she couldn't help but call for her mom. Strong hands had pulled her out of the well and an old dwarf stared her in the face. He had told her he would'nt leave her untill she was old enough to take care of herself. He kept his word.

Angrily she threw a brush and hoofpick into the bag while tossing in some food on top of that. She packed a few nice shirts but mainly worried about her armor and most of the fixings. Slinging the bag over her shoulder she turned to head out and came face to face with NightShade.
"What do you want?" She grumbled at the black male centaur in front of her.
"Where are you going? You heard your father." Nightshade said akwardly shifting his weight from one side to the other.
"I'm tired of having my life decided for me." Avvi said trying to push past Nightshade.
"So it would be so bad marrying a centaur like me?" Nightshade said.
"Look your my best friend but i am young. I want to be wild and free...maybe in a few years i'll change my mind but for now...i'm done being told what to do." She pushed past him and galloped past the gaurds into the wilderness.

Sapphira stood up and grabbed a black and red cloak from a thick branch beside her.
"I best be going. I have to make it to the Wind and Fire tavern, It should be up ahead if I follow this road," Sapphira went to pull her map out of her cloak pocket but as she stuck her hand in it came out through the other side. Sappira gasped. "No way! I can't believe I tore a hole in my cloak!"

Avvi knew exactly where she was going. The Wind and Fire Tavern. Often when she snuck out she would meet some of her lower Centaur friends there and they would make boasts. She grinned at the memory. In fact, she was supposed to meet them there tonight. Frowning she thought of the goodbyes she would have to make. Patting a few of he dryads on her way down the road she knew she had to stop and say goodbye to the Mother Dryad. How she would miss sitting beneath those sheltering branches.
Sighing she turned a corner of the road to find an elf standing below the tree. Good thing she had brought her sword and had made sure she was rested so she could use her nature magic. But for some reason she didn't think she would need to use it.

Sapphira heard a few crunches in the leaves and stopped looking around the tree. She turned and gasped, posing like a false ninja. "Oh my... What are you! Who are you?"

Avvi snorted the sound almost equine. "Who and what am I?" She thought how uncivilized this elf must be to not know what race she was from.
"I am...or was Princess Avvi of the Higher Centaurian Court. I am a centaur if you haven't noticed." Avvi scowled in that direction.
